Gor Mahia’s coach Zdravko Logarusic has been missing from the team’s training in the last three days. According to information obtained by Michezoafrika.com,the coach is said to have had differences with one of the officials and has not been seen in training since then.

When reached for comment, Coach Logarusic could not confirm whether he is still part of the team;

“It is true I have not been in training for the last two days but that was due to an unexpected occurrence that I had to take care of, but I am still Gor Mahia’s coach and I will be back on the bench,” he said.

His assistant Bobby Ogolla did not want to comment on the reasons for the Coach’s absence, “He has not been here for the last three days and I do not want to talk much about his where about and all I can say is that the team is doing well and we are ready for the match against Tusker,” Ogollah told Michezoafrika.com.

It is not clear whether the coach will be on the bench this afternoon when Gor Mahia takes on Tusker for the semi finals of the KPL Top 8 clash at the City stadium.

yes the coach is missing, politics are bad expecially in football. the team will start losing, look at Efusi, they were winning now they have stalled because of siasa.

Let’s hope the coach will be back soon.

Other than being busy frustrating those who are already doing their work well the officials should start thinking seriously how to invest all monies received so that we don’t receive millions, bank it somewhere and then just does only one thing – withdrawals. Things don’t work like that. As GM, by now we are supposed to have acquired our own assets that will in turn plow back revenues to the club. Do you want to say for instance GM can’t even own their own playground, estates, matatus, academies that can bring extra revenues? Apart from the Chairman these officials are too idle and cannot allow coach to do his work independently so that they may be seen to be working.

  • just what we need. while i’m not necessarily taken this article as the gospel truth, it only shows one thing with kenyan football, it’s about wild management. one official goes against the flow, the issue is MADE PUBLIC bila facts then they rely on public pressure to gauge what kind of decision to make. the decisions made are usually POLITICAL type and not necessarily the correct decisions… and this is what will happen here. so if there was a diff between the coach and the official, i bet my cash they will not look at who wronged who and who did not follow procedure… in other words this will happen again coz they will not look at what caused the difference in the first place!!
and to add to this it is high time the chairman of the club came out and gave a statement on such bad publicity issues, ever since bwana and his media loving squad came into the EC the chair has been on SULK mode. if gor loose todays game it quickly will be attributed to this fiasco(real or imaginary) and this is the kind of stuff that removes the stone-throwers from the cabbage cans.

Tell us exactly what the issue is all about coz what I know is that the Coach is not one to take nonesense from whatever source. It is from there that we shall know who is on the wrong side. However, am very optimistic that the official was trying to force something down the Coach’s throat and the Coach stood his ground. Let’s just hope!

Bwana is the biggest problem in Gor Mahia. He should stop interefering with the team and technical bench. Few days ago, he had problems with the players.I think Bwana should better concentate with his SG duties.

So far the Coach is doing a good job and we all support his effort.

  • @11 et @10 i fully share ur sentiments. i too have a feeling that the busybodies around the coach are lousy hang-ons who now feel they are coaches. they should give the coach space. these comedians want to be too near the coach and want to hug the coach in every oportunity. i take note of wenger , fergurson et morino. u do not see hang-ons getting to close to them. mr croatia, i support you n keep slapping them. these EC boys in love with media should learn to keep their distance. the coach has a job to do and it’s his neck on the line…so pls keep of the coach. the coaching job is an excutive post, this guy is basically the managing director and the ec is the board. let the MD handle his job. i also do not like how bobby made his comments, why does he pretend he knows nothing if there was a problem. this thing of hanging on thnking that u will get the spoils will get you nowhere, as much as i liked u as a player, pls take note of what has happened to the likes of kimanzi, kenyan coaches will never get anywhere so long as they have this attitude of licking the boots of the officials.my belief on the croat was from day one, pls continue and today sammy omollo will know the diff betwn entertaining the crowd and HAVING A GO GETTER ATTITUDE. something tusker, sofapaka though managed well do not have. afc leopards watch ur bubble go, if rangers was anythng to go by.

Who are these officials who keep creating problems. Let them be named. We tired of clowns whose ego is out of control constantly spoiling the club. This was the reason for our poor start to the reason. Dont start again now.

THis time let us expose these trouble-making officials and remove them.

Whatever it is that transpired is insummountable. These are all adults who happen to be drawn into a common cause but with different motives and ideals. Misuderstandings are therefore bound to arise so long as people don’t embrace professionalism and stick to their official roles.

I see Sir John Bobby Ogolla as the stabilizing factor here and I feel that we should spare him in this.

This matter should not be allowed to escalate nor should it be blown out of proportion. Let us keep focus on the must-win match against Sofapaka on Monday 13th. I view that match as so crucial and a win will definitely create pandemonium among the leading park…and all that to our advantage.

To coach Logistic and the EC my appeal to you guys is to sort out this matter ‘yesterday’ and plan for the next match ahead. Remember you need each other and it is the teamwork you have exercised so far that has contributed to our very successful recent history.

when Gor funs go rampage the officials are quick to call them football goons, this time we dont want goons officials in the club.the funs has stood tall in all season to support their club and therefore this is a red tape to the goons official that they shall bare the cross and wrath of the funs when gor will start loosing,Bwana where will you go?kindly leave the technical bench to do their duty.have recieve the winning of gor mahia over tusker with all joy here in brazil.

All officials of whatever description please please hands off the technical bench, particularly leave the coach to do his job. This man Logarusic has brought into the team what we have not seen for many years. Free scoring, flowing football, a measure of discipline among players.I would want to see him take the team on a continental assignment and we may have a second cup, why not? Please once again whoever is the problem, sort your problems elsewhere but leave Logarisic to do his work.

All these non-sence factors that are now being experienced by GM is being brought by one man who has changed from his body mass to the way he expresses his points. Let Bwana gives us a break otherwise, i think he should be ready to kiss goodbye to Kogalo. we are tired of such kind of acts and we want to concentrate on real footbal that we saw yesterday. long lived Kogalo.

The head coach and Bobby have no problems and they work well, problem is with few people in the office who are trying to undermine the coach. Some of these guys have recently not been seen in the pitch.
We need the coach to do his work period!!
And in situations where fans are getting concerned about rumours and other weighty matters, Rachier should step in and give a voice.
