The Brazilian tactician who left Gor to join the Albanian second division side FK Tirana in July has included the 2016 SPL Player of the Year in his plans to push for promotion.

Muguna is set to join Tirana on a four-year deal, with a source privy to the negotiations claiming that the former Western Stima FC man has already put pen to paper and the move is held up by Visa confirmation.

“He has already signed and is just waiting to clear with Gor and get the Third Party Form for his International Transfer Certificate,” the source added.

Kerr anger

Albanian website Panorama Sports also quoted the former Brazilian international praising the midfielder who bagged both the SPL Player and Midfielder of the Year awards last season.

It reported that Muguna would be a replacement for Congolese midfielder, Merveil.

“He (Muguna) is from Kenya and is currently part of Gor team that Jose Ferreira led before he came to Albania. The club has already reached an agreement with him,” the website wrote.

The development comes days after Ze Maria’s successor, Briton Head Coach Dylan Kerr lashed out at the player for absconding training on the eve of their SPL match, against Nakumatt FC.

    • Otek Thura, when you are told that Muguna will be the most difficult to sign because he has a 3 year contract, the opposite turns out to be true. It called closing the stable door when your prized donkey has already bolted. If you have been losing donkeys because you can’t find a way to fully secure your stable door who do you blame. Your prized donkeys will always be slaugthered at night and sold in the market at during the day as beef (cow meat). All you will get is JUSTIFICATIONS & EXPLANATIONS. If I recall correctly we were told that his contract had a clause that he would be let go if a European club came calling. Mara swollen knee, mara malaria, mara sickness: we and Ker were just being prepared for a Muguna exit. It must all have been provided for in the contract, remember Jakom is an astute lawyer. Sanchez can’t leave Arsenal because the contract is water tight, PSG paid an arm & a leg as required by the Barca/Neymer contract.

This cannot be for free, so people open up, how much is it? That is a very intelligent player but needs to build body physique

Why are all Gor Mahia transfer transactions are usually handled in opaqueness? Does the team get good value for the money in all these transfers? We normally here that players are sold at lower price whilst the differences between the cost and sales are pocketed by the EC members. I have never understood how Gor Mahia transactions are handled. You will here tha Kshs.1.5 million has been paid whilst the actual figure could be Kshs.5 million.
