Now FKF interested in Bobby Williamson

Reports from the Standard suggest that Gor Mahia head coach Bobby Williamson has emerged as the firm favourite to take over at Harambee Stars following the one year suspension of Adel Amrouche.

It is understood Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has already inquired about the availability of the former Uganda Cranes coach. Sources in the federation who did not want to be named said: “We have already started looking for a possible replacement for Amrouche and Williamson is being considered first. “He has the experience of working at this level and everybody knows what he achieved while working in Uganda. We are talking to his club and expect to make a firm decision in the next few days.”

The FKF is eager to hire a new coach especially after the below par performance by Harambee stars where they drew 0-0 with Burundi at home before losing to lowly Lesotho 0-1. Given that Lesotho are ranked #139 by FIFA , fans can fully expect that Kenya FIFA ranking to plummet from #95 to perhaps #110.

This is not the first time FKF are after a Gor Mahia coach. In 2011, Zedekiah Otieno “Zico” then the Gor Mahia coach, was also tapped to take over as Harambee stars coach on a part time basis. This happened after Zico had steered a young Gor Mahia squad to the brink of winning the league. However the performance of Gor Mahia suffered as the coach split his time between the national team and Gor Mahia. In this case it is not clear if FKF want Williamson on a full time or part time basis.

Aside from Williamson, FKF have also indicated that they might recycle Francis Kimanzi or Jacob “Ghost” Mulee. Truth be told, Zdravko Logarusic who seems to be on his way out at Simba might be a better option than these two. However with Harambee stars coaching is far from the main problem. Their preparations were poor and consisted of a trip to Brazil for “motivation” followed by a hurried friendly with Burundi. There are also deeper problems that are too numerous for this article to delve into. The point is that hiring Williamson will surely hurt Gor Mahia and is unlikely to help Harambee stars.

  • If true this is a God sent opportunity to part ways with “Scolari” amicably. Gor should jump @ It.
2ndly point of clarification in the previous article R Ngala was referred to as Dep.Secretary Gen. Actually he is the Secretary. The other secretary positions in GMFC are Secretary Gen, Organizing Sec & Dep Organizing Sec.
We have 5 secretaries plus TM yet all thought T.Otieno was cup tied yet he wasn’t.
I think financial considerations were the main reason GM honoured the Ksm Gotv match given……

My point is i think the financial crisis/desperation is really hurting K’galo more than bloated EC would want us to believe.
There is a mini exodus of players, the calibre of players signed (though some rightfully state that BW guaged their suitability b4 advising EC) speaks volumes not to
I disagree with Admin that GMFC will suffer with BW’s exit. We r suffering by his stay-whipped by AFC,out of GoRTv, boring style etc etc

Oduor and Ogango, I think with that attitude you will fit at ingwe. Being level headed has brought us this far. At least we still have fans like jathur gi ji who think rationally. We need to look at the bigger picture and not just beating ingwe. That is just 6 points which cannot stop a team from being relegated. We can lose to ingwe but still win the league

@ ODUOR 12 i also beg to disagree with the ADMIN closing statement that:
“The point is that hiring Williamson will surely hurt Gor Mahia and is unlikely to help Harambee stars”.

I suppose ADMIN is just using some coded language that might actual mean the reverse. BW joining H/STARS is a WIN-WIN situation for both parties and of cause not forgetting the wider K’Ogalo fraternity who are silently suffering due to his “GAMBLES” of PATA POTEA and EXTRA-ORDINARY PROFESSIONAL EXCUSES.

Guy’s you can choose to blog soberly and take your position on this matter freely without being abusive or intolerant to my views. Otherwise i do not want to demean my status by exchanging dirty words on this forum. Observe decorum since Gor Mahia belongs to all of us and NOT “some of us”. Am worried about NOTHING with BW exit; It’s long overdue..!!!

Some of us here are just blogging for the sake of it,if you release the coach know to harambee stars and get another one you should forget about the kpl trophy completely, atleast know it is still 50/50.And again who told you that you will be able to get a good coach with this financial crisis in gormahia…?Do you know that Bob Williamson since we started having these financial crisis at times he even get late salary and you have never heard him making noise in public to the press guys…..ingekuwa lugarusic….?wacheni kupanua mdomo hapa na vitu zenye hamuelewi.it is the decision of gor mahia officials to decide on the fate of the coach but not know, may be at the end of the season. There is nowhere harambee stars is going may be bobby should start that work next year.Lakini tuache upanganga ,there are some people in this blog who knows everything and are very good in identifying other peoples mistakes and pointing fingers at them,am really longing to meet some of you to see how perfect and clean you are.

Why does FKF always look the Gor Mahia side when they run short of coaches. As one puts it, there is a heavy price to pay if Gor Mahia parts ways with BW at this juncture. If FKF seriously want BW, then they should pay Gor Mahia handsomely for the damage and disruption they shall have caused. Hakuna cha ubwete. Lazima wachote.

Guys we should stop being myopic in our approach to this issue by treating BW like a demigod. Suppose he wants to buy out his contract and join H/Stars as an unattached expatriate “MUTA DO NINI? Or will K’Ogalo cease to exist?

Was Pamzo not fired at TUSKER and Matano stepped in and lifted the trophy at Kawangware [Hope centre] while our own Logarusic and his boys were left wailing at TOK KOMWANDA during KPL 2012.

BW seize this opportunity that has come your way and let our EC milk NYAMWEYA dry. At least we will make some money as opposed to frequent free transfer.

The list for Coaches who can handle K’Ogalo is endless. Just post a vacancy advert and you will be surprised with number of applicants with or without the financial crisis.

The so called ogango you are the one who is myopic, why are you trying to force things….?in the first place bobby has not said anything and in case can he accepts the harambee stars offer and accept to buy his contract that will be another case and it will not be the way you are behaving as if you want to forcefully push bobby out of the club,it will be a mutual agreement between boby ,gor and fkf.so don’t try to force some things down our throat then you expect us to accept.we wont fear telling you to form your own club and manage it by firing the coaches the way you want but in gor mahia at this particular moment and the place where we are on kpl table we cant fire the coach just because the ogangos of these world has said unless it is amutual agreement between the three parties ,the club gor,fkf and bobby himself.please can you put your ego aside and leave the few fans who are ready to support the club to do so,another thing you have to know bobby is avery calm man and there is no day you will hear him jumping here and there with the issue of harambee stars like the one lugaqrusic we had some times back,so if your wishful thinking is cheating you that bobby will just leave gor like that forget man.

While some of us are throwing tantrums all over the place our ‘dsgraced’ EC has managed to get a kit contract for the club. I only wish the energy from OGANGO TRAILER and ODUOR12 would be put in such a positive venture. We would surely have won this year’s leage by now.
Let’s sober up and concentrate on the weekend’s derby as I know some of us judge the performance of the team by using the derby results. To me a win, draw or lose against Ingwe does not bother me but to ensure we lift the TPL trophy at the end of this year. After all Top Fry and Ingwe beat us this year but the positions on the log does not indicate that. So guys it’s important we look at the bigger picture. Let’s not be mistaken and run for the hare when the deer is just a spear-throw away

So my blatant statement on BW has caused an awe inspiring experience down your throat to the extent that you can dreadfully claim that you are fearing. And by the way why should you fear BW exit from GM since it will eventually and inevitably happen sooner than later?

Just wondering if FKF would be interested in a clueless coach. Maybe some of us are disappointed in that we have a gentleman of a coach who doesn’t work up the crowd with his pitchside antics.
Even his responses to questions on Yanga and HS interest are very mature and this shows the type of person he is.
We might not be playing the tiki taka type of football but at least we are no longer that team which found it hard to win even within the City Stadium. I wish those complaining were there when Gor players used to share shin guards of all things. The players then looked so ‘miserable’ compared to those of other teams. The Tok Komwanda stands could that time be empty even when we were playing Ingwe. And surely there was no violence with the fans calling themselves shemeji. Now the ‘NEW’ fans have no good words to describe the people who ‘revitalized’ Kenyan soccer like Radul, Mutoko, Gidi, Jalang’o and Papa Shirandula. As said ahsante ya punda ni mateke

Any team in the Top 10 position within the table standing is capable of winning this league. It is too close to start “Chest Thumping” knowing very well that our is simply a very smart gambling tactics with the PATA POTEA tactics and game plan.

We can not retain this title by baby-sitting BW like a demigod whenever he goofs and at the same wishing other teams to flop to determine our fate. BW must work harder and give us the desired result as opposing to his abnormal and comical excuses whenever he fails to perform. Some of us seem to be suffering from “SKIN-COLOUR” as opposed common sense.

If you think this club is your personal property then you have the right to issue those nonsensical decree’s to the birds. And by the way if you think you are suffering from OGANGO-PHOBIA please just quit this site and join the others.

Who told you that we have not been involved in building this club; KUJICHOCHA NAYO..!!! WE WILL SAY IT AS IT IS.!!

Kogalo fans, after sooooo many years of passionately following Kogalo on this blog, I’ve just realised that Ogango Trailer is also an efusi pawn! Of course we knew Oduor 12 was. I feel so amused. 5hrs time difference but still passionate about Kogalo and both Bobbys, who will steer us to the championship ones again, despite the enormous challenges facing mighty kogalo. Efusi has money but no balls (and I mean know-how) to stay with the competition. Kogalo has no sponsorship but playing even better and better…soon we’ll celebrate a successive title and get new sponsors. Stay on BW and Sir Bobby…and bring up a team for the future. It’s not an easy task but true supporters like many of us will stick by you. Just look to Arsenal and the many years they endured without a trophy but Wenger stuck with them despite the many pawns over there.

I can’t differentiate you with that mad man carrying his shackles in a local village market in Uriri. Grow up gentlemen and post before you think.

If the coach is to be contracted by FKL, we just need to know how much the club can get from his contract but not posting rubbish.

We used to have high level minded bloggers like Ndugu Mwakio, who I think such negative and cramp postings has decided to quit this site.

Finally though GM is rotten from the top, its results on the pitch that will determine BW’s stay/exit. That’s what matters & things look VERY dim 4 BW. Sorry 4 those who pay 2 watch a coach’s demeanor instead of game

At least the true colours and characters of some bloggers is now coming out. With some of the reasoning being witnessed here it shows that some of them cannot even manage their emotions. This means that even if given a kindergaten team to manage they would really have problems.
From some of the comments here you can even tell those who are always in the forefront when trouble brews in the team. I believe they refer to themselves as the owners of the team
