Officials have some explaining to do
Following the departure of Croation coach Zdravko Logarusic , the Standard did a report on some of the clashes between Logarusic and the Gor Mahia executive committee.
According to the Standard there are still several officials whp are keen on benefiting financially through backdoor deals where undersrving players are brought into the playing unit so that certain officials can get a cut of the transfer fee.
Logarusic was a kind of a coach who would not be manipulated or intimidated by club officials and ‘influential’ fans like they used to do to the former coach Anaba Awono who could not be given room to even select his desired team to play.
Under his reign, team selection was not done in favours like in the previous cases where some players were allegedly fielded on favouritism grounds despite missing training for days. Logarusic’s selection was based on pure performance on the pitch.
He had full control on the playing unit and instilled discipline. His authoritative character is what Gor needed but that’s one thing some individuals could not accept and so the rift continued.
The climax of it all was witnessed when he turned down the signing of the much hyped and overrated Brazilian player Rodriguez who could not fit in the team by all means. Logarusic did not hesitate to show him the door after just few days of training with the team.
Threats on text messages and social media from ‘unknown’ people were sent to the coach with the main message being, if he doesn’t accept the Brazilian in the team, he will have to leave the club.
The Croat being who is, stood his ground and struck the name of the Rodriguez from his team when he had already been included. That’s was an act, which again rubbed the salt to the wounds of some club officials and ‘influence’ fans who were allegedly keen to get their cut of signing fee.
He again pulled another rude one on Abbey Natty who was signed by ‘unknown’ agents from Muhoroni Youth. He reduced his two years contract to six months and then later released him because the player was not worth being at Gor and his signing was done under unclear circumstances.

And now they av signed players like Okumu,Okoth n Ali Abdalla who u will neva see play for Gor.Infact u will c almost all of them being released at the end of the season..Why were they signed in the first place? Someone needed to eat!!!!The same happened with Natty,,Auma,Mbugua,Peter Juma,Vincent Odongo et al.This whr Gor is headed bk to.God av mercy on us!!!!!
When the issue of Logarusic came, i told my fellow bloggers not to hurry with comments before the core truth is known. But it was clear the EC was on the wrong side not Logar.
Loga has gone never to come back so lets accept and move on,yhe able chairman thats Omino Job once said coaches come and go.loga was not ecceptional,wacha aende where he feels his demands and threats can be met,lets focus ahead for the wkend and give JBO the support he need to win in msa,mbaraki twasija

Loga aende bwana wether we loose in mombasa,we cant av a coach who always demanding everything and no results to show that,the man brought nothing to this gtreat club no cup to show and to justify the 750k he is demanding to be paid.Akwende kabisa
@Jarae were u thea whn Logarusic demanded 750k? Tht ws propaganda peddled by one member of the E.C .From the way u r posting it seems u really believed him.N u say Logarusic had no trophies? Do u watch Kenyan soccer? Do u knw the current holders of both the FKF n Top 8 trophies? Check n thn tell mi who was coaching that club whn it lifted both trophies! !
When loga came we already the defending champs of FKF CUP,Top 8 u are talking about if not for poor officiating we were to be the defending champs when loga came,so i dont knw what u r talking about my brother,its not that am suporting the EC but the way this coach behaved is totally un profesional my brother,av been in the fore front on defending our coaches and its in record ask anybody who knows me will tell you,when people were beating the old man like ABA(Sianga)in thika we were the people who shield him from the crown shouting he must go and am telling u that was the best coach we could have had just look at the players he brought to the club and the kind of football standard that was there u cant compare with these your waiganjo u people are praising,the bottom line is let waiganjo go
