Player claims Gor Mahia officials demanded bribes

Given the explosive revelations from Derrick Otanga whom Gor Mahia was pursuing, it must be said that Gor Mahia officials must come out to defend themselves. The three officials who have been adversely mentioned owe fans an explanation as does the Chairman. This issue must be investigated.

Wazito striker Derrick Otanga has explained how his move to Kenyan Premier League (KPL) Gor Mahia failed to see the light of the day.

Before signing for Wazito last month, the former Sony Sugar striker was linked with a move to K’Ogalo.

Currently in possession of Goal is a leaked audio file, in which the striker is having a conversation with an unnamed Gor Mahia official over the issue of a sign-on fee, which became a bone of contention between him and club officials.

“It is only after I was about to sign for Wazito that Gor Mahia showed intense interest for my services thereafter. It later emerged that four people inside Gor Mahia wanted a share of my sign-on fee,” Otanga confesses in the audio.

“I was surprised at how the officials quickly turned to act as agents and also that the sign-on fee is always not paid in full.

“Whether I was to get the money first then share with them or they wanted to get it first then share with me, I don’t know because I am not aware how things are done within your team.

Aduda was not immediately available for comments when contacted by Goal.

“Your Secretary madam Sally [Bolo], Lordvick Aduda, and Steve were the three guys who asked for a share of my sign on fee,” Otanga added.

Otanga signed for the KPL returnees after scoring 13 goals for Sony Sugar in the recently-concluded KPL season.

“I had no one inside the team who could have given me the insights on how the transfer activity is conducted at Gor Mahia. But then I had been warned before that the sign-on fee was sure to bring confrontation since that money is always hard to be paid in the first place.”

Otanga went on to mention club treasurer Sally Bolo, chief executive officer Lorvick Aduda as the officials who wanted a cut in the transfer money, as well as a ‘Mr. Steve’.

  • Aduda and Jolawi are not elected. Both are appointed. So I believe Rachier owes an explanation of what is going on.
When Judith Nyangi raised these issues, she was dismissed as a noisemaker.

  • I want to say this , and while doing so , am doing it with a totally sound and sober mind , and this is that certain situations demand what Malcolm X termed as Necessary Violence , and this is the kind of Violence categorised as good violence and this is the kind of violence executed to achieve a greater good and if what am reading is true , and I have absolutely no reason to be believe it is not , then this is that situation that warrants and demands that kind of action seeing as we are witnessing that diplomacy , cajoling , online threats and insults have failed to tame the hyenic greed that has invaded people we are supposed to hold in trust in what we so cherish .
So let these hyenas joke with their mothers , aunties and all their female relatives , BUT they must be shown in no uncertain terms that what we are hearing cannot and will not be tolerated .
The unruly energy we normally misdirect at innocent people on the highways , funerals etc must be redirected at these 4/5 hyenas and if just one or two can be found , then we expect them to be made a lesson of , both to the present and future office holders , mere insults is neither a solution nor is it an option .
I beseech all peace loving Gor Mahia fans to unleash the kind of violence never seen before so that we can have peace , permanent peace , sustainable peace , Thank you .

These accused, Aduda, Sally Bolo and “Steve” should step aside and be investigated.

  • Bloggers and Comrades Jasego now Speaketh in No Uncertain Terms so Listen All Ye who have Ears. I have through the years promised you many Superb Foreign signings but went ahead to fail to secure them and came back here to lament on frustrations by Aduda…Sally Bolo and Cartels but some became glad and said Jasego has no real power to do anything led by Fred Odhiambo who Caregorically stated that only 3 insiders can do any transfers in GM. Well he was referring to the perennial Conman Aduda CEO…Sally Bolo and Jolawi together with Stephen Ochiel aka Steve from Kisumu who brokers all dealings regarding players from Nyanza as he is their Superimposed Agent of commission kickbacks. Steve Ochiel has been a thorn in my flesh and they managed together with Aduda and Sally and Jolawi to convince Head Coach of useless foreign signings like Mustafa and Ssekisambu much to my Chagrin and detriment of GM. I have been forced to go silent on my transfer dealings since whenever they get wind of them it is an all out War to ensure I fail in my plans. I tried Signing a Ugandan Striker Nelson Ssenkatuka from Bright Stars FC they came in…Charles Edoa Nga a Camerounian from Black Leopards FC Botswana they came in…Djabel Imanishimwe now here they are Frustrating the move…I already flew in a Camerounian striker yesterday who is now doing trials with the team at camp toyoyo…I fought them and Solomon Alubala Wazito FC Sporting Director and managed to convince Shakava to stay-on i will better his package and he has agreed he is still Captain till end of his contract. I am currently fighting mercilessly to release Ssekisambu and Mustafa and for this even threats have been issued to me but I will Soldier on unperturbed. Derrick Otanga has revealed what they did and the same happened in the deal of Farouk Shikalo. This people dont care about GM just kickbacks and conmanship. AR co-opted me to help him manage the TB which had gone rogue because of these cartel individuals and their accomplices. I will continue the fight till I succeed for now let me go to Rwanda and try salvage the Imanishimwe signing that they want to inflate and eat. I am tired comrades but will fight to the end. God bless Mighty Mayienga

How senior club officials handled otanga’s transfer bid was so sad and shameless. It was like a minor being raped by his own father or uncle i.e someone who should protect and care for her. Otanga was left helpless and his dream chance to ever play for gor shuttered at the expense of greed. This could be a tip of the iceberg of the rot in the club. No wonder; 1.gor is in deep unaccounted debt despite sponsersìp 2.constant issues of players and technical bench salaries and dues causing go slows and lack of motivation 3.players sleeping on the floor of airports. Like leeches they wanted to suck otanga, and would stop at nothing to suck the club dry. I suggest there should be a clause in the new constitution, allowing for an indipendent audit of the clubs finances time after time.
