Polack: Players have refused to resume training

Gor Mahia play Mathare United on Wednesday as they resume their KPL campaign. Coach Polack is concerned that the players did not train ahead of the game.

“We have a game tomorrow (Wednesday) yet nobody has turned up for training including the players who didn’t travel for the Motema Pembe game. I don’t know their whereabouts and it will be difficult to win games if we continue this way,” said Polack to the Nation.

A senior player who spoke on condition of anonymity insisted he can’t keep on training and honouring matches yet he can’t even cater for his basic needs.

The situation at our club is dire and getting out of hand. Our players don’t train and just show up for matches which is very hard to win. Similarly morale is low thereby today Mathare beat us but they too are having financial difficulties and were not advantaged in off the field issues so it’s a matter of our players not exerting themselves anymore. I don’t blame them but beg they understand our situation and fight for the badge as we strive to get a sponsor.

  • Gor Mahia fans are very innocent.
It is the EC killing the club by subjecting the players to dehumanizing conditions
Even when sportpesa sponsorships was on players were not being paid, and were not appreciated.
The EC has sycophants who hurl all manner of obscenities at all voices of reason.

The EC is allergic to ACCOUNTABILITY
There has not been any ACCOUNTABILITY reported on the e – tickets gate collections so far
There has not been ACCOUNTABILITY of the funds collected through the paybill
How does the EC expect people to give through the paybill when no one bothers to account for funds given so far???

We have a big big marketing opportunity now with this Sunday’s game against AFC.
Has the EC bothered to market the match ???

AFC just did a fund raiser to pay players outstanding dues, has the EC bothered to motivate Gor Mahia players ahead of this big game???
