President promises to help Gor Mahia find sponsor

President Uhuru Kenyatta has promised to help Gor Mahia find a sponsor next season. According to a report posted on goal.com, President Kenyatta said he will personally intervene to ensure that Kenyan Premier League champions Gor Mahia have a sponsor for next season.

Club chairman Ambrose Rachier told goal.com that the president said he would take it upon himself to find a sponsor. “leave the issue of sponsorship to me.” said President Kenyatta apparently.

“The President was very categorical that he will intervene to ensure we have a title sponsor,” said Rachier

Rachier also pleaded with the president to ensure the government deals with hooliganism. “Please help us deal with this hooliganism by arresting and prosecuting those culprits,”

Kenyatta promised that the police would deal with the vice.

“Security agencies are going to deal with that issue of hooliganism,” said President Kenyatta.

During the function, the president donated KES 2 million to the club and a further KES 1 million to the team.

This is the first time President Uhuru has hosted a football club.

Congratulations Mr. President for hosting the team. This was indeed a great gesture from the President Uhuru Kenyatta for having hosted our team in the State House. Through the visit President promised to intervene for a sponsor and gave the club Kshs.3 million.

Our fans, let us weed out hooliganism from our midst. This should be everyone responsibility. We need a strong campaign against hooliganism and the club need to involve all security operatives in weeding out this menace.

Thank you Mr. President and may the Almighty God give you long live and continue supporting our clamour team.

All this goodwill from all quarters is usuallly watered down by those GOONS who cannot help the team in any way.

Kudos to H.E. May the other adorers do likewise

Thanks my president, even doning Kogallo jersey in itself is a statement. How I wish we could all move away from English football jersey’s !!!!

Nevertheless, whether the next sponsor is Brookside Dairy, Heritage Hotels, Commercial Bank of Africa (CBA) or Mediamax Group or even one of the Parastatals it does not matter , Kogallo shall wither the storm and deliver another shocker.

With all the money in our kitty, I just pray we recruit wisely.

Just spray the goons with buffalo urine and you will never hear of this hooligan menace again. How I wish the heading of this article read: President Promises to Secure Gor Mahia’s Land in Embakasi. All the same thank you UK. It could take 5 mashemeji derbies to raise that kind of money that you gave the team.

Allow me to ask anyone with information: what was the gate collection in our last match against KRA? Just wondering!

Thanks Prezo for the good gesture. The other thing the delegation maybe didn’t tell him is about the KRA tax and land issue. An amnesty would have been good for the KRA tax issue as well as clarification on the land issue. The land might not even exist as of now since so many things have changed in Nairobi.
This is actually an eye-opener to us as fans. We need to divorce politics from the club issues just like the Chair has done and embrace all peoples just like we do for our playing unit.

    The figures so far:
    kshs
    Harambee Collection – 4,300,000
    TPL winnings – 4,000,000
    President’s Contribution – 3,000,000
Share by Rank earnings – 705,900
    Anelka/Fan’s Motivation – 460,000
    Ministry of Sports – 300,000
    FKF – 100,000
    Rachier’s Topup of Aneka – 40,000
    GorMahia.net Contribution- 31,231
    Total = 12,937,131

Secondly kudos to our players nominated for the various by player of the year awards.
Also surprised at Walusimbi’s ommision but not at BW being left out of the coach of the year list.

    @Jasawangongo regards your concern…
“During the fund raiser, i was shocked by the contributions done by branches(a branch contributed Kshs 2500=)”
Again I feel we do away with the branches and adopt a Sacco model that allows both individual and group membership.
E.g let monthly contributions for both individual and group be kshs.500 per month.
Group membership can comprise of between 2 to 5 individuals. Individuals in a group enjoy all the same priviledges as individual members e.g discounted prices on tickets/merchandise, vantage seating etc apart from voting rights whereby the group has only one vote.
This way GM can benefit from and attract patronage from persons who may not afford the 500/month membership fee as individuals.
This is an advantage of a sacco over a company. Sacco/Cooperatives allow for group membership but the group is restricted to one vote.

@ BB couldn’t agree more gate collection figures have been hard to come by this season. Hii accountability & transparency is “just not the cup of tea” for Rachier & Co.
Lastly how wish Prezzo jersey was branded Gor Mahia on the front/chest.If we sponsor ourselves through our Sacco then we retain the right brand our jerseys in front-GOR MAHIA

  • From the EC to the last fan standing, I would like to register my sincere appreciation to our President, H.E. UHURU KENYATTA. Mr. President, we as Kogalo family feel greatly humbled and honoured that you found time despite your busy schedule to host our club to a luncheon at the State House. To the uninformed, this act by the President is reserved for a country’s sports legends. I wish the leadership of our club can use this goodwill to leverage for more goodies for our club from the private sector. Me. AR, the ball has neatly been stuck at your corner. Arise from the confusion and mayhem that bedevils our club and provide a more sustainable and professional way forward. Thank you Mr. President for your time and financial donations to our club. Just know this : we appreciate you, we love you, we honour you, and more so, we pray for you every day. May God bless you, keep you and order your every step.

Why is the management ignoring diaspora? I’ve again and again posted numerous requests to be absorbed into these activities most of us still do not know how to apply and get their registrations yet those fees are floating here in diaspora world.

I love Gor Mahia. I thank Mr President for the good gestures, hopefully, we will have a sponsor soon.Leaders who wish well for Gor need to open their eyes and follow the examples of Governour Kidero, President Uhuru kenyatta and Nairobi Senator Sonko. Hopefully,we will get enough finances to help us in the continental games next year. I believe that Nattal will restore the lost glory in Continental matches for Gor. Many belived that he was not up to task, but he did it …Gor did it despite the problems which we faced.
    God bless Gor Mahia….
