Race Tightens
The Tusker Premier League of 2012 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting in history. With 6 matches left, only 5 points seperate the top 5 teams and the country is riveted. Sofapaka, Thika United, Gor Mahia, AFC Leopards and Tusker are all in with a chance of winning it all. This is the first time ever that the top Kenyan Premier league has had such a finish.
Only a 2 months ago, AFC Leopards looked like runaway winners. However they have faltered down the stretch and on Saturday went down to Western Stima on Saturday making the league wide open. Their fans were unhappy and caused fracas at Afraha stadium. It will be interesting to see how their chairman Wycliff Ole Magelo reacts given how he got onto his high horse during the fracas of th first leg match between Gor Mahia and AFC.
For Gor Mahia, the players are taking a break after a tight schedule that saw them play 4 matches in 20 days. Coach Logarusic has gone out of his way to keep the players relaxed. Gor Mahia fans should follow suit by cheering the team without putting undue pressure on the players.
This is an amazing finish but it is really good for Kenyan soccer to see AFC and Gor at the top and both vying for the title for the first time since the mid 90s. Next week’s derby could easily set history in terms of fans – and probably the renewal of a great rivalry in terms of championships. Let’s enjoy it and a K’ogalo victory will make for an astonishing finish – and yes they can!
It has been always our prayers for the Almighty God to give is victories over our opponents in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Surely Almighty God has always answered our prayers and we have humbled ourselves to return glory, praises and honour to his name as with God everything is possible.

Turning to KPL, we acknowledge that the log has been very difficult and with prayers and humility, God will always remember us in all our battles. He is Jehova Ebennezer, El Shaddai, Yahwe, rock of ages, mighty God, our redeemer, Loi, Raphah, Jireh, our provider, our protector, our help, etc.
It is always our prayers that the Almighty God is going to give us victory in all KPL battles in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and let all people of God say Amen.

Brother i adore and like the way you hv always put Kogallo in prayer before and after every battle in the league,and surely every prayer you delivered to HIM has always been answered positively. A TEAM ONLY WITH MENTAL STRENGTH WILL WIN THE TPL
As the end of the season nears, a lot of activity is gong within the leading pack. Like in a 42km marathon race, it does not matter who is leading the pack, what matters is mental strength, energy and weather condition of the day.
Seasoned marathoners will tell you that when one falters in the last 5km may due to a knock, fatique or other unforseen situations, it will
be very difficult for one to recover. This is what is now happening in the TPL.
Gor Mahia needs to combine the mental strength, focus and passion in order to win this years title.
@Okew Okuyu Jakamollo and PAREYIO, it is not about strength nor focus nor passion nor mwakio but God be the glory, honour, praise and thanksgiving that has taken us this far. It is by God’s grace please that we have done well.
At one point in time Ole Magelo branded Gor hooligans and if am not wrong he asked FKF to ban Kogalo or else his team would not play us. How satirical that AFC have held referees and the police hostage twice since his statements. The pot calling the kettle black? Well not really anymore. Kogalo fans have since become polished and peaceful, taking it a game at a time. And come Sept 23rd, a game at a time will see us go top of the TPL, with 5 games to go. Can u believe it? Clawing back 16 points from leaders in just about 16 games! Who can stop us? I sincerely think none. The Kogalo juggernaut is rolling down the hills like a tsunami, sweeping every team it’s wake. And with beautiful soccer, not the high balls I saw from Efusi yesterday. Talking of Efusi, the lads have been rocked. They can’t recover. They could have lost by a bigger margin yesterday. On 23rd we’ll inflict more pain and no one will see us again. This league is ours! A game at a time.
@Omusala my sympathy and apology for engineering EFUSI defeat . But I hope now the message has sunk into Benson Disi that he should learn how to address JABILO.
But I would urge the INGWE nation not to despair at this moment. The title is wide open the until last day of TPL 2012 matches of round 30 and I go either way.All the top six teams have a chance to win at the moment. Do not rule out anybody at the moment.

K’Ogalo bloggers stop chest – thumping even if we carry the day against AFC on sato, we still have very tricky matches namely KARUTURI, THIKA U, RANGERS, TUSKER and MUHORONI. The same way I used to tell my friends Bill Watz and Kenyatta that it is too early to call the shots ; I do herby WARN you guys(Read K’Ogalo) that as far as i can visualize we need to humble ourself and collect maximum points against AFC, TUSKER and THIKA for us to fight for the title otherwise it’s not easy and we should desist from wishful thinking that if we beat AFC we shall have won the league.

the final episode the night of long knives; gor is taking the league. Abbas warned afc that the team had lost steam but they did not listen. koops is now looking for excuses. something he is very good at. how can gor have ten resting days? he questions, yet gor has played more games(in a shorther period) than afc… i support and believe in gor, this is a battle, if afc cannot take the heat then better get out of the kitchen. an afc ( n gor) that does does not whine is what makes football attractive. Gor is taking the league. afc fight for it… pls realise that when western stima beat you they did while playing on the same surface. i urge afc to come to kasarani with war on it’s heart. gor shud do the same.(this is in ref to the teams and not the fans). i however have come to respect the heart western stima has come to display, even though i have no time for parastatal clubs, at least they came for a fight and won. i hope gor has learnt somthng here, most of these small clubs have alot going against them but somtimes put up impressive fights, gor shud learn this when they go to africa nxt yr. my point, do not whine … just fight and as i always say, know that u r playing against 12 players (the guy being the ref) abandon 1 nil score lines, deal the ways barcelona does, the ref will disallow one goal but he can’t disallow 3 goals without putting his rep on the line. GO K’OGALO GO.
So out of the 5 who has the mental toughness and reliance to win the league.
AFC – wounded by defeats in the last few matches and club’s ego has been severely dented as they cold easily have won the league by now. But that is water over the bridge, for them to win the league they have to beat gor mahia and tusker , that’s all they have to do to win the league. Yes they have the mental toughness but I doubt their resilience.
SOFAPAKA – they have nothing to loose and can easily win the league because thy have superb home record and most of their remaining matches are at home. With a new coach at the helm, perhaps this could turn out to be a blessing in disguise. They have both the mental toughness and resilience to pull a shocker , potential league winners.
TUSKER – the most consistent team in the league for the last few seasons. Have been poor at finishing in the last few games and appear to have simply given up on the title chase and they will have it rough beating gor mahia and AFc in the remaining matches. They definitely have the resilience but I doubt if they have the mental toughness this time round…….bad luck!
ULINZI – other than tusker, they have the reputation for being consistjent and disciplined. If the league was to be won by those two, ulinzi will be champions. Their lack of strikers has been their undoing. They score very few goals in a season and have very erratic away form. Perhaps for them to win the league, thy have to rely on AFC, tusker and Gor mahia to falter. This is very unlikely but should it happen, they will definitely lift the title.
THIKA UTD – surprise package , full of goals but very shaky defence. They have very poor record against the top teams – gor , AFC, ulinzi, tusker and sofapaka. I doubt if they can wn the league as thei goal difference is wanting. They still have gor mahia to play in the last game of the season and this makes their life and title ambitions very very difficult.
GOR – if league was to be won by defence and reputation, gor would definitely be champions. They have gone almost 19 unbeaten up in all competitions but off use this has a positive side and a negative side. Player fatigue will come into question and so is mistakes as witnessed in the mathare match. They still have AFC , tusker and thika united to overcome to win the league. Is this possible? Yes, if they best AFC and tusker , then I do see them being crowned league champions but thika united could simply mess up on those plans. I see gor mahia riding on luck and poor form of other teams to win the league as thre is no doubt in any bodys mind that they have the resilience and mental toughness.
So the big question…….who wins the league……..sofapaka looks like a good candidate but whoever wins between gor mahia and tusker , gor mahia and AFC leopards and gor mahia and thika united will upset the odds.
The battle is not over yet,let the fight continue. All the 5 pack leaders have a realistic chance of lifting the title.Gor however have been the most consistent with their wins and that gives them an edge! It is less likely that AFC will win most of their remaining matches and coupled with the preassure of declaring over 2 months ago that the title is theirs to lose,I feel that at best,they will take no.3. Tusker will most likely lift the Cup followed by Gor as runners up and Sofapaka in no. 4. Have your say.

May I join @Okoth Jabilo to appeal tp K’Ogalo fans to take it one game at a time. Guys we are in agreement that we are not keen on the title. What inspires, motivates and excites us is to WIN THE NEXT MATCH. That is the spirit that has kept us going and it should not change.
As for the Efusi fan chaos in Nakuru, I want Bill Wabz, Vitoo and Omusala to know that we abhore hooliganism, however, we shall not call for them to be docked points or be demoted from the league nor be imposed a hefty fine. We shall not vow never play AFC. The chickens have come home to roost but Gor Mahia does not have the kind of people who dance on Efusi’s funeral.
This reminds me of the aftermath of the Zamalek dibacle in 1984 when after CAF had meted out a punishment on us Efusi still went ahead and appealed for a much stiffer penalty against us. That kind of roho mbaya cannot take soccer far Ole Magelo.

@ Bandit today at 1600 hrs ( 1900 hrs Kenyan time) I will be attending African club championship knockout match between TP MAZEMBE and CHELSEA at the national stadium in OSU , Accra Ghana and compare notes of that match with our own K’Ogalo.
@ Barefoot Bandit do not be surprised how GOR MAHIA is well known and a respected club in the western region of Africa. they still have memory when K’Ogalo beat the Ghanian CHAN bound national team in a friendly match in Nairobi. This guys are aware that Nyam Nyam once lifted the coveted Mandela cup against the current African giants Esperance of Tunisia. They have nether not forgotten about the “Zamalek debacle in Cairo” nor Bendel Insurance of Nigeria elimination, nor Horoya of Ougadogou in Guine Bissau nor the first African team to reach the finals of club championship with Canon SPORTiFF of Cameroon.
People from Togo, Benin and Senegal are just asking what happened to sleeping giant of

Logarusic is household name in Accra, I attended a pre-season friendly between Asants Kotoko of Kumasi Ghana against King Faisal from the Volta region donning my green TUZO regalia with the JABILO and to my surprise everyone was telling you are from Kenya and LOGURASIC is coach. King Faisal have fought their way back to the top flight league.
Ghanians are now in an election mood with polls being held in the 14 dec 2012 but to my surprise their democracy is really mature that people discuss issue and debate without name calling or fracas. The late John Atta Mills NDC featuring John Maima the current and forrmerly the vice president against Nana Ado Akofu of NPP. Jerry Rawlings and the wife have just defected to form their own party of CPP but Ghanians have said no DYNASTY.
@ Barefoot Bandit we have a long way to go. Can you imagine that Rawlings of NDC defeated Kuffor of NPP twice and then Kuffor defeated John Atta Mills twice and Atta Mills won against Nana Ado Akofu. Surprisingly on all the occasions no body won on 50% plus on the first round but during re -run nobody has won with more than 50000 votes. KAMA NI UKO KWETU SI JUST KNOW WHAT WILL BEFALL US AND THE AFTERMATH.
In a nutshell this guys have modeled and designed their political competition in the US style that features the Democrat and Republican or rather NDC Vs NPP. And they do treasure and honor their hero’s in style; like our “Kapenguria six” they have there own that includes JB dankuor, Ako Adejei, King Kanga and Kwamen Nkurumah among others.
All the beautiful and modern roads along Accra have their sculptures and names., be it over pass, interchange, intersections , Circles or under pass. WE HAVE A LONG WAY TO GO.
@Okoth Jabilo you have represented K’Ogalo well in that land of the Wakanchis (as Elechi Amadi would call it). As you come back please lay grounds for some kind of partnership between GM and some of their big names so that in future they could be invited for friendlies.
Try hard great man, to trace Charles Kumi Gyamfi. Should you find him, please inform him that his former employer may need him since Logarusic is likely to render yet another coach jobless in the coming weeks.
Finally I have been trying to find an answer as to why Nahimana shed tears at Afraha. May I share my hypotheses with bloggers:
1. The pain of losing to Stima was unbearable.
2. The thought of who they are meeting next.
3. The realization that they are yet to play Mathare.
4. The realization that EK’s match winning bonus would not be forthcoming.
5. Pressure from the chasing five is unbearable.
Of all these, I find 2 and 3 the most plausible, but I stand to be corrected.
Hi Jabilo and thanks for the interesting tidbits on soccer and politics in Ghana.Soccer is absolue King in this country!! My host here in Wenchi,in Ghana and some of his friends also surprised me when I first came to Ghana and I mentioned GorM they know about Kogalo as a great Kenya soccer club.the big soccer clubs in Ghana are the famous Asante Kotoko based in Kumasi and Hearts of Oak out of Accra.Berekum Chelsea is also a formidable side.
On politics I think it is a little more complex and can be very partisan just like in Kenya even though clearly the two big political parties are NDC and NPP.
West Africans seem to honor their political leaders better. In Bamako Mali you will find statutes of their heros. It is good in Kenya we have made a start.
On the Tusker League back home it is going to be a dog fight to the bitter end but my prayer is that Gor wins it all.

As others have put it, we stil have a long way to go. The leage is stil wide open. Let us only put everything in the hands of God. God has been on our side. I request all blogers to offer a prayer to Kogalo in every our remaining matches 1O minutes to kick off time.
All I can tell GM fans that we are not there yet. Pleaze don’t assume else you can get really dissapointed. Look back to the games against Oserian, Mathare and Sony. For us to win the league all we need to win is our next match, then the next match, five times. But as of now we don’t have those points and there is no guarantee that we will pick all of them though I pray like Mwakio that we do. We still have Tusker, AFC and Thika amongst other teams to play. The problem is that if we don’t have our feet on the ground we can be bitterly dissapointed and do what AFC did at Afrha yesterday yet we want to show that the divide now in terms of fan behaviour and prowess on the pitch is as different as day and night.

My friends i want to ask you to take caution and avoid alot of insults.after having left my job for Naks to witness a match from our side that cannot be played even by a 2nd division team.it was very sad and heartly felt by loyal Ingwe fans .Old men,youths,ladies were realy crying shading tears that no one could believe.the fans dint and were not to fight the ref nor the stima pple.what they needed was xplanation from the players and koops as to why and how with all the allawances and better than all the kenyan could they lose in such a poor manner or was it subortage,INGWE has been loosing games and fans have had no problems infact they have been claping for them ,but for this apart from Iddrissa Afc leopards were not up to task at all.they should be send parking.so after the player got tha message they also started crying in that they had let down their fans who had travelled from very far to cheer up their team.this led to almost everyone crying including me.from there i entered my car back to NAI,and whatever happened from there i dint witness althoug i heard from News OCS was badly injured rushed to Hosp and more than 50 AFC fans are still held.so guys you could realy see the passion of real Ingwe diehads,so kindly have soothing words for us other than insults.matusi hayawezi kujenga Ingwe au Gor bali yataleta chuki,vita na hata jambo ambalo sitamki.otherwise as @ mwaiko and @ Jabilo takes on this.ahsante kwa hayo na musikubali shetani mwishowe asherehekee.kwa askari aliyeumi pole sana on behalf of Afc fans and i know our fans leader will talk on it including our held fans.
Well said Omusala – there is nothing wrong with being passionate. Problem is misdirecting the passion into hate and eventually violence.

Barefoot Bandit you’ve made my day…..and all the points are valid. I also asked why Nahimana was crying so early, yet they are yet to meet Kogalo on 23rd Sept. But may be these are real signs of what is happening at the club. At 16 points ahead of Kogalo AFC must have thought they had wrapped it up. In fact i remember AFC fans used to chide us by saying they’d donate some points to Gor as it was shameful to see us in relegation. With 6 games to go, we are suddenly only 2 points behind, and we could go top on Sunday!
Kogalo must keep focus. I know the players are motivated and up for it. I know Logarusic is planning for a tactical master piece of a game on Sunday, because this is the greatest derby in this region and the coach who get’s his tact right will be the one who will carry the day. We trust Loga and his players. An early goal will do us just fine. And to the fans…we must turn up in our masses. This is the biggest game of our lives in the longest time. In fact the magnitude dates back to days i wasnt allowed in the stadium so i had to make do with the radio version.
But the fans will have to embrace peace no matter the result. Yes it will be a big pay day for AFC, but remember we must pave way for a big pay day for us in the next derby. No running battles, no fights, no cat fights…..just celebrate together in victory and in losses. For we are building Kenyan soccer once again and who knows, we may just be a power house sooner than we thought! It’s starts with Kogalo.

As has been said above, Ulinzi just broke into the group of contenders and now things are thick. Please fellow Green Army members, let us not put unnecessary pressure on our boys. What happened in Nakuru for Ingwe is regrettable and it will only harm their team more. Fans of these two community clubs may just gift the league to another institutional club.

If Gor was the team pelting stones in Nakuru, that would be prime time news and the subject of two sports pages in our local dailies. But since it was the media’s beloved efusi, i only saw a small article in the corner of a certain newspaper. Now isnt this discrimination, I ask? Gor fans are not angels but they are certainly not devils. I am one of those fans who is passionate abt Gor but also firm against violence but Gor fans should not be overly targetted by Media instigated hatred. AFC held stima’s bus hostage and even attempted to pelt it with stones but nobody talked abt this, nobody dare shame the beloved and peaceful efusi fans. I pray for a win for K’ogallo, most of all I pray for all of us to get there safely and return home in one peace, regardless of the outcome. In the past, these kind of derbies have been like a sacrificial alter where lives are lost. Nothing in this life is worth human life, only God, who gives it, has the discretion to take it. Even as we engage in this platform, lets keep praying for peace during Sundays game and conduct ourselves responsibly. Each one of us has the capacity to make it a peaceful and beautiful game. Let’s join hands in condemning acts of hooliganism in football. Let’s dance, merry and rejoice with our opponent fans. @Omusala, sorry brother for what happened. We as both Ingwe and Gor Mahia fans, we have one common objective of winning KPL Log. However, from what happened in Nakuru, it is evident that we all have one common problem of fans/crowd troubles when the results are going against us. These thuggery acts are regrettable and perpetrators should be banned from entering the stadiums, jailed for life and be condemned under the strongest term possible. These thugs have no place in the modern football.
MY SOLEMN PRAYER:
It is now my prayer that may the Almighty God and heavenly father grant Gor Mahia victory over Ingwe in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. LEARN TO ACCEPT RESULTS……..
In any game there is either a winner or a loser or zero sum game of a draw. We must respect the final results whether there are against us or for us.
CAUTION TO ALL GOR MAHIA AND INGWE FANS……….
To all Ingwe and Gor Mahia fans before, during and after the derby match, we must do the following:-
1. We must abhor any form of violence at all cost.
2. We must avoid any form of violence (in and outside the stadium).
3. Embrace one another before, during and after the game.
4. We must keep peace before, during and after the match.
5. We must keep off politics
6. We must avoid all sorts and forms of abuses and insults.
7. We must support the team that you believe in either Gor Mahia of Ingwe.
8. We must walk together and talk to one another.
9. We must embrace the spirit of Ma-shemejis.
10. We must sing and dance for our individual teams whether losing or winning.
11. We must pray for our respective teams to come with victory. I will pray for Gor Mahia to register a win over Ingwe.
BEING RESPONSIBLE FANS………………………..
As people that love God, we fans must have the awesome responsibility to lovingly discipline ourselves from any form of violence and thuggery. As we impart God’s love and wisdom to ourselves or celebrate victories, we have the blessings of helping fans to develop into more responsible and God-fearing fans. I sympathize with ingwe for the Nakuru loss and join the rest in condemning the violence witnessed after the match.
I urge all of us (both ingwe and Sirkal)fans to turn up and enjoy the match on 23rd and celebrate together after the match regardless of the outcome. Let us all also deal with the hooligans who may want to cause chaos.
If things go well and as planned, that last game against Thika United must be moved from City to Nyayo, because the level of celebrations that will happen cannot be accomodated at City Stadium!! It could be recipe for disaster!!

AFC FANS ARE HUMANS AND HENCE THEIR PASSIONATE REACTION
I really sympathize with comrade @ Omusala’s briefing as to what might have transpired and triggered the unexpected spontaneous cries and riot by AFC fans and players. BUT WHO IS TO BLAME? KOOPS AND OLE MAGELO.
WHEN AND WHERE DID THE RAIN START BEATING MA-SHEMEJI?
Below is the chronology of events and mis-calculations.
1.PROMISING FANS HEAVEN WHEN THE RACE IS STILL MATURING
Now this is what KOOPS did not realize when he had a good run in the first leg and they decided to play careless mind games promising fans the coveted TITLE.
When Ulinzi clinched the trophy ahead of K’Ogalo do you guys recall how our current goalkeeper Wycliff Kasaya denied us victory at TOK KOMWANDA while playing for Red Berets who were eventually relegated. With two games to go we all knew that those two point caused us the title and that why AFC fans can not exempt players and bench at this time and moment of TPL 2012.It is those three valid points that will cause them the TITLE the same way it happened to us in 2010 KPL. We finished KPL 2010 at number two but ZICO promised K’Ogalo fans the TITLE the following year 2011 . It came as a flop from day one when Ranger spanked us 3-0 and fans rioted. All was not well for ZICO until eventually we had to evict HIM forceful after Rama Salim the current darling of K’Ogalo fans inflicted more pain again through his former relegation bound CONGO UNITED at TOK KOMWANDA. This the same scenario KOOPs is finding himself. IT’S A CATCH ELEVEN SITUATION WHERE THE KING IS LEFT NAKED.
2. EGO-CENTRIC ATTITUDE WHILE PRIDE COMES BEFORE FALL
Instead of OLE MAGELO giving NAIROBIANS opportunity to evaluate AFC Vs TUSKER and reap on gate collection despite numerous disparate plea’s by AFC fan his overzealous PRIDE and BIG EGO like that of a lion drives him to switch the venue to MBARAKI SPORTS CLUB at the expense of their good run minus the 12th man.
TUSKER leaves one week earlier to climatize at the coast while AFC takes a flight on the match day and there goes the UNBEATEN record plus loss of revenue, leave alone fans incurring unnecessary travel,hotel and entertainment expense not worth breaking even with.
This caused AFC a losing streak of 10 points to the advantage of K’Ogalo [Lost to Tusker & City Stars and draws with Karururi & SoNy] and now KCB and WESTERN have caused our shemeji bitter damage beyond repair as the derby is looming. WHY CANT YOU CRY! IT’S PAINFUL.
3.ENGAGING FANS IN UN NECESSARY POLITICAL CONTEST.
When MAGELO opted to pullout AFC from the super 8 cup cum derby the body language was not healthy for growth of football in kenya. As a matter of fact he had just forgotten that the LEOPARD had just bribed it way back to top flight KPL. Why did he have to make the AFC fans redicule, under rate, be-little and step on the toes of all and sundry in our local football fraternity.
The reason is AFC knew the TPL TITLE was theirs to take despite disrespecting and invoking 2013 SIASA to please his political paymasters at the expense of our sports.
I really feel for our SHEMEJI @ Omusala and i can not blame people like @ Benson Disi cause they take things for granted based on dirty language used by their leaders like the famous BULL-FIGHTERS vomiting on a political platform. On many instances he has used K’Ogalo’s name satirically based on his political ethnic mindset to drive his point home.
4. WHEN YOU LIVE IN A GLASSED HOUSE DO NOT THROW STONES
During our ill-fated derby the entire country was up against GOR MAHIA .We were labeled all kinds of names from HOOLIGANS, GOR MAWE,THUGS,ANIMALS,STONE AGE..AND SO ON. We had to do a soul searching and retired to support our team inspite of any biased officiating or poor result. We accepted our fate and we become humble.
But Magelo has not accepted that K’Ogalo’s has really reformed its behavior & attitude with a welcoming hand. The PRESS is quiet now that it is AFC. Why?. My guess is very simple..!Divide & Rule for election 2013 polls.
All MAGELO’s outburst are in the public domain. Our EC was smart enough and played down his FITINA. SSMB took the queue and condemned us to “TOK KOMWANDA” and we accepted the verdict and carried on up to this moment.
THIS WAS A BLESSING IN DISGUISE THAT THEY WILL LEAVE TO REGRET BECAUSE I PREDICT K’OGALO CLINCHING THE TITLE AT EXACTLY “TOK KOMWANDA”. NI HAYO TU WANA K’OGALO.
All, what happened in Afraha in terms of the Ingwe loss and the chaos thereafter can still happen to us in GM. Most ot us in this blog can now condemn Ingwe just the same way our reputation was dragged along a muddy path. But the issue is that just as Ingwe believed that they had already won the cup so are some of our fans. The battle is not between Ingwe and Gor but four other teams. We might finish aboce Ingew but lose the title. So in the spirit of sportsmanship let’s embrace what @Vitoo, @Omusala and @Jabilo are preaching, that footbal is for entertainment. As much as shemejis are down morale-wise they are still leading the table and you never know what a wounded leopard can do. Now we are laughing yet Ingwe might laugh loudest if both of us don’t win the league. Let’s keep our moto of ONE GAME AT A TIME and if we win all of them then we will be champions. Tuwache matusi and this goes to @Ben Disi and some of our GM bloggers as well. Some of these can create unnecesary tension.
Now that Tusker FC is leading in the match being played right now 2-0 against KCB at 2nd half in City Stadium is not good news for us but let us press on until the final match and we will have the trophy
@ Walter, it does not matter. We have to play both of them. So, we MUST win both. I really dont have a problem. It is however important GM wins the next game. Dont look too far bwana, you may be distracted!!!!!!

As from today it is slowly turning out to be a three horse race amongst the TOP 6 and slowly , one by one teams will crack under pressure to pave way to the would be champions with that positioning changing hands quite frequently depending on how GM is taking their games with our rallying call of “ONE MATCH AT A TIME”.
We win on Sato we TOP the table temporarily before we will be dislodged again as we await our next opponents and this will be the scenario until the “DEFINING MOMENT” the day when we play TUSKER at “TOK KOMWANDA” .
I have really liked the remarks @34,35 & 36. I’ve been rejuvenated for our Sunday match against mashemejis. I agree with you the defining moment will be when we meet with Tusker at Tok Komwanda.
Things are thick. As K’Ogalo fans our momentum should not blind us. Let us realise that we are positioned 3rd after the round of 24. Were all factors to remain constant then we could end up finishing the campaign at 3rd position.
This is why we should still maintain our call of ‘one game at a time’. As we have said in this blog we won’t tire to repeat it for the umpteenth time. Our joy is just to win the next match. That is what sends us into frenzy. When we peel back the points. When we claim our rightful position fairly and in broad daylight. Yes guys, let us shift our focus from the title but instead, train our sights on winning the the next match. To us it should not matter whether it is Spain, Brazil or Barcelona. We just want to win the next match. This is our daily prayer even to the almighty God.
On this note I wish to join @Arrumtiddi in calling for a major migration of the green army to Kasarani (someone termed it the 9th wonder of the world). Yes, let everyone who identifies with GM come with a friend or two. Our boys have grown used to our support. At Tok Komwanda the close proximity of the fans to the players on the pitch has worked wonders even when the crowd is not so big. Kasarani is, however, different. The pitch is ‘far away’ from the fans so for the boys to experience the same we must fill up the terraces and shout louder than what amazed @Vitoo last time. With this match, so much pride is at stake and as K’Ogalo fans we have our work cut out. All in all I believe we are equal to the task and must not disappoint our team.
@Omusala you guys want the title. Take it. My advice to you is that for you to take it you must do everything right. One thing you should know is that if you dilly dally and fail to play your cards right then don’t blame us if we take it. The TPL title should either go your way or our way.

Ogango, Tusker is playing before AFC Vs GM. Therefore, a win for GM on Sunday does not guarantee them (GM) 1st position even for a minute as you are suggesting especially if Tusker gets a point. Look at the goal difference which is not in GM’s favour. Let us all not forget that goal difference may play a role this time. Therefore this 1-0 specialists mentality should change very fast if it has to be in our hands!!
As we trade abuses look at what the ladies are upto. Shame on us men.

Just under five days to the much awaited derby, AFC Leopards ladies’ fan group Ingweladies and Gor Mahia Federal Republican Ladies have announced yet another CSR ahead of the Derby set for September 23rd.
In a joint statement released on Monday morning,the two groups said that they will be conducting community service in Korogocho and intend to reach out to women in the low income area and sensitize them on social issues that press the society.
‘We intend to visit the Korogocho Slum area, to a school called Our Lady of Fatima Secondary School, with the aim of reaching out to the 350 Ladies. Ladies here contribute a shilling daily for them to be able to get sanitary towels, a story told by one of the senior teachers there, who reached out to the Ingwe Ladies during one of their community service activities.’
According to the event organizer Aidah Bunoro, the party will visit Our Lady of Fatima School and donate toiletries and other basic needs before embarking on a cleaning exercise around the school.
‘It is in plight of these that Ingwe Ladies and Republican ladies decided to visit the school. We intend to donate Sanitary towels, Soap, Panties and Toilet paper to the ladies, which will take them for two months.’
‘We will have a football match with the girls at the school, then a hygiene talk with Anne Ochieng Representing the Republican Ladies, and Lorraine Masinde, the Events Coordinator at Ingwe Ladies.’
‘A peace tree planting session will then follow led by Judi Ateku and Edna Shanyisa the Chairlady and Secretary General at Ingwe Ladies respectively and Cathy Otieno, from the Gor Mahia side.’ said Aidah
‘We welcome all to be part of this great initiative and we welcome your donation to help this young ladies. MPESA contributions can be sent to the Ingwe Ladies number 0723602462 or through Anne Ochieng on 0723 93920.’
Meanwhile, the Ingweladies have asked the AFC Leopards freteninty to keep faith in the team and support the team as it pushes on to getting Tusker Premier League trophy.
Organising secretary Aidah Bunoro has said that the group is rallying behind the players and was confident that Leopards would win the TPL come November
‘Ingwe Ladies would want to tell the AFC Leopards Fraternity to Keep the faith. It is not yet over until the final match. The road to success is not always an easy one, there are bumps ahead and we need to brave ourselves for anything.’
‘We would like to tell our playing unit that as fans, we will be there to give them morale, no matter what the tribulation we are going through. All they need is to take each match as the final match, and play their hearts out.’
AFC Leopards host Gor Mahia this weekend at Kasarani.
I too believe that most of Gor and AFC fans are peaceful and football loving – it is just that there are a handfull (on both sets) who are overzealous and uncouth, and who engage in hooliganism that spoils the good name of these two giants of Kenyan soccer. If we can find a way to contain this lot (the hooligans), then we would see stadium attendace sky rocket !!
Good work by the ladies. An ordinary sirkal and ingwe is a peace loving person. Let us all unite and flash out these hooligans from amongst us.
Winning and loosing is part of the game and i still remember the day ingwe thrashed sirkal 3-0 and we all celebrated together at Nyayo. That is the spirit we want on sunday.

@Kassam Mwivangano, indeed it will be on Supersport. That is one of the reasons it has been moved from Sunday to Saturday to avoid clashing with Rugby Safaricom 7’s finals which is scheduled for Sunday and also live on Supersports.

@OGANGO I don’t seem to get your response to my copy- and-paste article. Are men more Gor damu than the Divas? The day I see a lady pcking stones and hurling it in the pitch or towards a fellow fan then we will know that we are done. We have fans like @Disi spewing abuses from the Ingwe side and getting an equal dose from the GM side and those like @Mwakio and @Omusula seeking divive attention. When we talk od Shemejis for some us it’s something in blood and in relation. Not just about being neighbours. And that’s why I will still support what the Divas on both sides are doing. Though Gor is my team I share more in my Ingwe in-laws and football will not and should never divide us. @Kosero welcome back we missed your consistent and reasonable contributions even when you rub some of us the wrong way
