Sec Gen Omondi unhappy about clandestine transfer deals

Gor Mahia secretary general Ben Omondi claims that neither chairman Ambrose Rachier nor Coach Kerr, nor himself approved the recent transfer moves.

Ambrose Rachier was quoted lamenting that the unveiling of both Muguna and Batambuze were ‘done hurriedly against my will’. Gor Mahia Secretary General Ben Omondi has raised an alarm over the manner in which the club is conducting its business in the ongoing transfer window.

Gor Maha have so far signed midfielder Kenneth Muguna and Ugandan Shafik Batambuze on a three and two year deals respectively. But Omondi is now questioning the new transfer policy being carried out by the club CEO Lordvic Aduda.

Omondi says that the rest of the club’s exo-embers are on the dark in the new transfer deals. “I don’t know under whose authority the CEO is working because most of the executive committee members are unaware of the details of these transfers. We just read about them on the media.

“The said transfer deals have been done without due procedure because according to the constitution of the club, any deal is supposed to be signed in the presence of the Chairman, Secretary General, and the treasurer, not the CEO,” Omondi told Goal.

Gor Mahia are also reportedly interested in the signature of Sofapaka midfielder Dennis Odhiambo but according to Omondi, the transfer business is being conducted with the utmost secrecy, not even head coach Dylan Kerr has an idea on who is being brought in.

“The coach made it very clear that he is satisfied with the number of foreign players and the truth is we (Gor Mahia) don’t have the money to sign more players.

“The EC is supposed to meet to chat the away forward because we are in the dark. We don’t even know anything about the signing fee.” Omondi added.

Club chairman Ambrose Rachier was also quoted by a section of the media lamenting that the unveiling of both Muguna and Batambuze were ‘done hurriedly against my will’.

Players who are not performing should be released and replaced with new quality players. We have a sponsor and if there is shortage of money, let the EC explore other means of raising money instead of sitting back and saying there is no money.

The club CEO should work together with the chairman, Secretary and Treasury. Solo moves are not beneficial to the club.

    HIS MAJESTY HAS FINALLY SPOKEN!!!

Didnt we say this are fake stories !!…. Which official is this profiteering from broking deals for unattached players who probably were not subjected to medicals, selling cheap marketing gimmicks knowing very well an imminent AGM will soon be declared and the entire EC boat shall be rocked from the inside out….this is not kogallo doing th business, show methe transfer kitty ? someone is pushing the wrong buttons and derailing our 2019 objectives

As fans we need to demand three things before the impending violent prooned AGM

    1. What is the allocated transfer kitty for 2019?
    2. How shall we honor the champions league 2019 , now that it is coming in December? Where is the budget.
    3. How many players should we have as a club ? Why have a squad of 30 and still complain of fatigue etc etc .
    4. What is our target for 2019 ? And should we retain Kerr just to win domestic league ?
    5. What is sportpesa views on 1,2,3 and 4 above ? And have they been consulted in advance ?

Mark my words, i repeat !! this club will not be the same no matter the amount of utter vendictive online rubbish and venom being spit by some pseudo failed bloggers masquerading as football transfer agents. f#ck you and f#ck off , you don’t know shit about this club!

Bloggers we have signed Muguna and Batambuze Period. Ambrose Rachier in a meeting with myself and Aduda was briefed and is very much aware of what is happening and the query above concerning unveiling is that he wanted it done once together with the other players yet to be signed after the match against Everton. There is no problem only disgruntled EC members making Noise in Ben Omondi and Judith Nyangi together with some clandestine madman here who is controversial…speculative…undecided..foolish and agnostic as he worships a Man who doesn’t even recognise his existence to begin with. He of the “breaking nonsense news” fame that over the years have failed the test of legitimacy and was once in West Africa commentating Nonsense on a Harambee Stars match while actually he was based in Huruma Estate here as he has No Fixed Abode is tryjng to cause disharmony in GM but shall Never Succeed. Three more players are enroute very soon and they are all quality additions. Kerr is happily preparing the ground for the match against Everton in England. Do not be alarmed for EC squabbling amongst itself doesn’t stop those of us who do our part for the benefit of GM from proceeding with the clubs best interests at heart…Ero Kamano Uru

@Jasego, I do not think whether Jakoyo is a real Gor Mahia fans that will always mean well to the club. He is always obnoxious with hollow mind just like rafiki yake Nyangi and clueless Secretary General who seems not to know his roles at the club.

If Ben Omondi, the Secretary General is not happy why can’t he resign and look for a club that he wants to serve as a mouth piece with zero contribution and knowledge of football.

@Jamigori you are right this Jakoyo is not a Real Gor Fan. You cant wish a club you purport to like Doom time and again and advocate for violent AGM Meetings that will solve nothing but leave the club shatterred on the eve of a very tasking season ahead…If SG Omondi is opposing each and everything we plan to do as a club does it mean we sit and wait for miracles to solve our problems? Former SG Chris Omondi on realizing he had irreconciliable differences with the Chair on running of the club resigned in peace and since then Gor had Won 3 league titles…It is not an ideal time for war at GM let’s pull together for the clubs sake

Officials come and go but GM will always be there. We have till November 2nd to submit names to CAF yet some people still want ceremonies. so sad

@Dan Original that is exactly my point. A crucial season is here before us fast approaching and we are unprepared. Should we fight proxy wars in the meantime by siding with different sections of a divided EC and plan Ousters through Violent AGM’s or try strengthen our playing unit as best we can and beat the deadline of submitting names of a strong squad to Caf by November? I am looking neither at AR or Ben Omondi axis interests for now but GM interests which is to get good players in the positions the TB proposed before Caf deadline for trust me No one in the club’s EC can do that currently as there is too much bad blood going around between them. So whoever see’s that as being wrong then i suggest they need a head check-up…

SG.Omondi , I do not understand your concern. You are a mature manager/officer who should know how handle small issues. CEO is your employee and if he made a mistake, the Executive can reprimand him without raising unnecessary alarm. Kindly let hear good news not kitchen fights.

  • The kenyan constitution cured some of this things we are seeing in our gor mahia leadership and in its wisdom gave requirement for one to vie for an elective seat mind you we have the most clueless of them all our ec apart from the chair who rides on the foolishness of the ec……what am saying is we messed in choosing our leaders and we need to sort out this infact we need to realise that without proper leadership harambee will always be our motto and local kingpins

Isn’t it amazing how we always find ourselves in the same old situation year in year out?

Finish top of the league, then start feuding over transfers and petty squabbles amongst officials… before we realize it…booooom!the new season is with us,and we get caught out flat foot… totally unprepared.

Indeed it’s a vicious cycle that has no end in sight.same script different cast!!

  • Jasego, unless you solve (sign) the goalkeeping debacle we are gearing up for another disappointing season.Beats me why technical buffs like Kerr & yourself can’t accept & address this fundamental problem. As for GM being broke, did we report K.C to FIFA?

How come it’s only GM who loses out on transfer fees? K.Sharks got kes.10m selling Masoud Juma to a S.A club. Sofapaka/Fiston transfer went well, even likes of sony/nzoia successfully sold a defender to S.A. Matasi’s transfer has just earned Tusker 4m.

@Oduor12 bro welcome back…You know bonnie renewed his contract for a further 3 years plus TB in it’s proposals for beefing up 5 positions mentioned 1 defensive midfielder one holding midfielder,a striker, right offensive winger and left back. No GK but it would be prudent to drop Odhoji and shop for a keeper i agree with your sentiments…
