Sserunkuma leaves for Europe

According to a report by michezoafrika.com, Dan Sserunkuma is set to return to Armenia to seek greener pastures. The stocky Ugandan who played a pivotal role in helping Gor Mahia win their first title in 18 years, had earlier gone to Armenia during the mid season transfer period. But the move was rescinded by Gor Mahia officials.

Considering his superlative form of late, this move comes as no surprise to anyone. Sserunkuma scored no less than 13 goals, almost all of which came after his return from Armenia. His combination of quickness, vision, passing and a powerful accurate shot has been the bane of many a KPL defender.

Coach Bobby Williamson had earlier said he would not let Sserunnkuma leave. “The boy (Sserunkuma) is amazing, scoring important goals for us. Letting him go will be a big mistake.” Williamson said to michezoafrika. But chances are that Gor Mahia were never going to match anay salary that sserunkuma could be offered in Armenia.

Serrunkuma’s contract with Gor has not expired. I would only advice him to organise all his plans proffessionally. He should not be denied the chance if wants to move to a greener pasture.

############Waw! what a good player,do your things professionally this time round and represent gor mahia well you always rose up to the occasion and helped the team in time of need,i wept when you scored a solitary goal in our second leg game with sofapaka, you were great.continue working hard and put discipline and above all God first.what you have to know that there are frustrations in Arab countries that can ruin someones carrier example is Ramas case,so incase you are successful take care.Back to our officials you have to poach for strikers who will match this guy sserenkuma of which i dont see any in kenya even the hyped keli cant match sserenkuma.Gor has a lot of money that can bring good players even the cash for Rama SHOULD BE THERE if am not wrong.Really in case this transfer materializes will it be used in the club with these hyenas who knows very well most of them are going home?????????????

Waw! what a good striker i typically wept the day you scored solitary goal in our second leg wit sofapaka, you always rose up to the occasion and lift the team in time of need good luck ssere. This time round try to do your things proffessionaly since you still have running contract with gor mahia.you also have to know that in case your deal materializes in Arab countries,There are frustrations of all kinds there starting from the players to the officials so take care let it not be like the one for Salim Rama.Back to gor mahia officials it is your time to search for a striker who will match ssenkuma of which i dont see any in Kenya even the much hyped keli cant match sserenkuma.use the cash that was got from Rama which i hope is still there and the one for ssere in case he is successful to bring best players for the next year duties which you know very well.To our chairman take care of the clubs properties since there are hyenas in the name of gor officials who knows very well that we are sending them parking in December elections,so right know they are ready to dissapear with anything they get around.

Erokamano “Flava” 4 “winning” us the 2013 TPL title. If its your wish 2 leave Mighty K’galo then I personally wish you well.
I concur with those who say the GM played one of its better games against AFC, but there in lies the biggest problem, WE COULDN’T WIN DESPITE THIS.
Most of our midfield/forwards play with no purpose/vision/effective skills. They simply don’t pose a threat 2 AFC / any TPL team 4 that matter. Y does Jerry insist on continously booting the ball high upfront when he misses..

his target 100% of the time.
As proved by AFC & KCB scoring against GM is simple, outmuscle our weak midfield spread the ball wide 2 the right wing, then cut back a ground ball 4 an oncoming opponent 2 finish the move as our midfield does not fall back.
Finally in my opinion yes GM fans r fickle but its bcoz despite winning the league we actually play such boring football that winning is the ONLY CONSOLATION.
BW YOU NXT YEAR MUST PROVE UA WORTH TACTICALLY NOT ADMINSTRATIVELY. SALARY IN….

of kshs.500k/month siyo pesa kidogo & must be reflected on the pitch.
At O.T 20mins is enough 4 a player 2 turn a game as Oboya did when he delivered the assist that “Flava” finished 2 win us the league.
I’ve never understood y TB has never started Flava, Oboya & Love-A-Star.
Finally I commend the brave bloggers who have come out boldly 2 state that our beloved GM is going nowhere with the current midfield/forwards. Passionate fans also need 2 b encouraged by goals skillful & entertaining play.

  • I wish u gud luck in ua persuite 4r greener pasture but I wud’ve loved when u left like Blackberry who went without going 4r trials.
Now BW &JBO the ball is in ua court to find a suitable replacement who is a top quality striker and at the same time retaining players who r developing like Paul Odhiambo who is a good striker yes but I think he lacks something which the likes of Kelly has.We also need a left back bcos Musa & Owino r naturaly central defenders & we dont need to recruit 4r central defenders.

Lets all stand up for a man who did for us the right things when it really mattered, hats off Dan,go thee well and be a good ambassador out there for Kogalo. Remember you are always welcome at Kogalo whenever you are on holidays. You could even play again for the team.I only hope that you have done your things right this time.

It is now proper to open for us your minds on new recruits TB -Bobby W and Bobby O where are you. AFC are already moving fast.Last time we blamed absence of Loga for delayed recruitment, come out and say what and whom you are after, FOR VETTING.NOW.

All I can stay to Danny is may God grant you all your WISHES. As much as we appreciate what you have done for Gor I believe you also benefitted from the exposure of being a Gor player. At Gor we don’t stand in the way of players to make better their life. A footballers ‘life’ is short so Danny make hay while the sun shines. Am sure one day before you finally hang your boots you will come and finish your career here at Gor. I read that we are looking abroad for players which is a good thing but locally let’s go for Kenga, Mieno, Omino, Oboge and if Mapunda also leaves for greener pastures then Okinda can hold forte with Bataro. Otherwise the main weakness is the mid and attack positions

Am happy someone has seen what i keep saying that our midfielders are so weak that they are easily outmuscled with the exception of Njuguna. Look at Akumu, Eric,Wanyonyi, Mutiso, Kevo who yes have skills but only that. They are only good when we have the ball but the moment we lose it recovery is next to impossible. We need both skills and staying power at the center. Musa is good yes but only that he is not a natural left back no wonder Wafula was leaving for the dead after placing the ball on his heavy left leg. Iam not in a position to dictate whom to sign but i can give my views. The club must sign but not sign at all cost coz rushed decisions lead to poor outcome. Let the TB assess individual capability of each player in terms of skills, discipline and love for the club.

Dan Original you are right, if Efusi want to behave that way sawa thats what they always do, blocking Kogalo’s ways to the best, see now they want both Kahata and Keli!!! Am not the TB but guys why are we not talking of the other Sserunkuma in City Stars, a skillful player.Just a thought but only for those who keenly watched him in the just ended season.

I read at goal.com that G, Bwana says that he wont release Danny even after the boy tenders in his transfer request. I thought we said that we will not stand in the way of any player who wants to turn pro. When will we let these boys reap maximum from their talent. The boy even sacrificed to get Gor win the league after 18 years. Why can’t we reciprocate even after Danny sacrificed? A footballing life is very short and the window closes too fast. If G. Bwana has no ambition then he should not waste the most productive life of Danny. We all LOVE gor but we know that the welfare of the players should come fast. As we row over contracts our ‘noisy neihgbours’ are getting insurance covers for their players. We need to start looking at the future and ensuring that our former players can look back and be proud that Gor made them what they are

Let us be slow with Bwana on this, I bet he is talking business. His point is that Danny is so valuable to us and therefore we are not willing sell him. We will not let him go. What that means is that if you still need him then you have to adjust your offer then we can talk. Thats the way it happens in business with players. I think you remember hearing that Chelsea is willing to increase their offer to buy Ronney in January. Part of the business in football is the ability of a team to mold a player to be the best then you can sell him to the highest bidder as you use the money to buy other players. In the end, the deal should even be better for Danny. Atleast I hope that is what is going on bloggers!!
