Sserunkuma likely will not renew contract

Dan Sserunkuma’s agent Ken Joseph has indicated this his client will not sign a new deal at Gor Mahia once the current one expires.  Joseph a Briton has indicated that Sserunkuma will attempt to move to the next stage of his career by pursuing deals in Europe.
As we all know, Sserunkuma’s contract runs out in a few weeks. For now, Sserunkuma has got his eyes firmly fixed on winning the KPL for Gor Mahia and helping the Uganda Cranes make it to Morocco for the African Cup of Nations in 2015.
After that, he should be heading to Europe to continue with his career development. I think it would be fair to say that even Sepp Blatter knows Sserunkuma needs a new challenge in his career, and that it’s time for him to move on said Joseph to futaa.com.
Sserunkuma has in the past attended trials in Azebaijan and Armenia. He has also been linked with moves to Kaizer Chiefs of South Africa.
Most football agents are now encouraging their clients not to sign new deals. This was the case with Rama Salim and now David Owino “Calabar” has now indicated that he will not be pursuing a new deal. While Gor Mahia must continue to convince these players to sign new deals, they must also start scouting for replacements. Forward planning is always a good thing. Last year Gor Mahia’s were not prepared when Tuzo announced that the sponsorship deal would not be renewed. By the time they did start looking for a new sponsor.

If the spirit of Gor Woud K’galo finally allows “Flava” 2 leave then so be it. If that is the case I wish him all the best he’s a truly amazing player both in skills & character.
Financial instability & a weak club structure is really costing GM. The club is losing talented players signed during the Tuzo sponsorship while we are yet to see their replacements being roped in.
Again players leaving is not a problem but problem is leaving 4 Coastal Union, Armenia etc & F.O.C.
    Think cooperative/sacco.

Sserenkuma is a great player and naturally if we retain the league even me I wouldn’t hesitate to advice him to look for another challenge somewhere outside East Africa.
Come back if/when your deal doesn’t go through pal you’ll always have a position in our lineup.

Personally I wish Danny leaves for a more lucrative pasture in Europe or SA. He has served us delligently and with all his heart. I would not be worried about him going for free if that be the case. What I know is that we will still get another good striker but at the moment let’s concetrate on retaining the league trophy

  • Now that we will miss Danny, the EC shud look for another profesional striker who will be required to score goals.EC will also have to sign another local based striker like Olunga to help in striking force. If Rama is willing to come back let him also back bcos I believe that once a K’ogalo always a K’ogalo. So long as we’ve a commited TB then we will always be champions.

This is my take- Danny needs to go, must go; David Owino needs to go,must go; Musa needs to go, must go. These three are at their peak and not much playing time remaining for them. Go and make something now. We all say Amen and thank you very much gentlemen for the dedicated services rendered to Kogalo. And watch this space,if Blackberry cools his mind for another season and gets proper play time at Kogalo he is likely to be the next big mover, again.I admire Allan Wanga for one thing, he came back and cooled down at Ingwe for two seasons and rediscovered his abilities,he has made it again.

For once Jakoyo is right. Olunga should not think twice, let him come in and make himself what he should be.

@jathur gi ji, I say Amen. Let us wish those who are leaving well. At the same time welcome those who will be brought on board come the transfer period.

@Ingo, even Masika and Wanyonyi joined from Gor and Mieno and Keli from Sofa and KCB. So we will not be surprised but there is a difference between team performance and individual performance

@Ingo, you better help Ingwe to get out of relegation to a top 8 contender. Ingwe is bleeding from your retrogressive behaviour. Please note that Ingwe has the best players but this is not being reflected in their performance. In this regard, put more effort and energy in aiding Ingwe.

Dan has done a lot for the club n as the saying goes in my mother tongue ‘kama iluokrie ok i tuoee’ meaning the point where you take your bath you do not dry, hope am right. therefore Danny should look for greener pastures for his bright future, we will definitely miss him yes but the club is a house hold name and we will move on as a family.
