Sserunkuma’s transfer fee

In what appears to a contradiction of their earlier statements or perhaps a change of heart, the Daily Nation now reports that Gor Mahia will indeed let Sserunkuma leave

According to the Nation, the Ugandan striker has formally presented a transfer request to the club expressing his desire to join Armenian league side, FC Banants, which he attempted to join midway through the just concluded season.

Gor Mahia’s top officials on Tuesday confirmed that indeed the player was leaving the club saying that they are now awaiting a formal bid from the club in question.

Club secretary-general, George Bwana, however, said they will respect the player’s wishes but the club’s initial asking fee will be a minimum of Sh8 million.

Bwana’s assistant, Ronald Ngala, said: “Sserunkuma presented a letter of request yesterday (Monday) which the club is considering. Now that we are on recesses we may not stop him. We think it’s only fair to let him go because he has served us diligently,” Ngala said.

  • We can match his transfer fees ie if he sets to earn ksh 300,000 per month then we can organise a fundraising friendly match with harambee stars to be attended by 12000 fans at ksh500 to net ksh 6million which is his salary for two years ! We must retain him. Start thinking out of the box or we vote the entire EC out

  • We cannot be releasing all our best player all the time ! We can raise his salary substantially. Lets have a fundraising match against harambee stars with only 5000 tickets to be sold to the first 5000 people at not less than 2000 shillings giving the first 100 people a photo opportunity with the players ! Start thinking out of the box EC !

this is good. so now lets see how seriously interested this club in question is. it’s good to see that at least on it’s part the EC is doing it right. clubs come here a wave money on the players noses making them dush to the airport with caring a hoot on the contract obligations.in mind are the recent sserenkuma et p.opiyo fiasco.Sserenkuma is not on free transfer so pls cough up the money. and admin and your nation report, gor mahia had not refused the player to leave, so what change of heart are you reporting. gor mahia cannot simply give away a player for free. are you reading the nation for us?

So who is saying the truth? Confusion galore but personally I would let Danny go and follow his heat’s desire. He is a true professional and very humble in his way of doing things. I believe just like Blackberry went and we thought we were finished, Danny came along and likewise we can still get another Danny. We still have another Sserenkuma we can get from City Stars and even Oboge from Chemelil.
As a team we will come out even stronger and who knows the current players like Paul Odhiambo might be the new revelations

  • If that is the tranfer fee 4r Danny then let it be & I wish he was worrh 20 million bcos I believe he’s worth that much. Now that EC have realised that players r gold mine they should ensure that they have the best players who can fetch good price during transfer periods just like Rama did when he left Gor to another club abroad. Goodluck Dan.

As per goal.com Mapunda has 1 month left on his contract & is lobbying Tz”s Simba FC 2 sign him.
Isn’t it odd that Mapunda was allowed 2 miss the GoTv final inorder 2 have a chance 2 revive his career with Taifa Stars.
Obviously Bwana’s contradictory statements on Flava shows that our bloated EC mostly likely has 2 factions. Faction in the know & that which gets info much later.
But CELEBRATIONS R THE PRIORITY NOT PLANNING 4 NEXT SEASON LOL. & WE SAY AFC R TARGETING PLAYERS IDENTIFIED BY GM ETC.

  • we r supposed 2 hv sent the list of players 2 caf not later than 15th dec but we seam be still celebrating & we shall have a situation we had last yr when Emuge could not play 4r Gor bcos of his transfer cert. what r our targets & when r they joining Gor to start training with gor. I’m hoping that evrything is under control, but if we r still thinking of who to recruite & we have not even started negotiation then we will be time bad & we shall just participate in 1st round & then come back to struggle.

Guys, collect the bloody 8m transfer fee and let him get his wish. This is his time. All of us must be positive and wish him the best. With 8m, GM can acquire an equally good player from Uganda or even Kelli

As the team of Gor Mahia let us just be sincere, people always look for greener pastures, let Danny leave for it now, this is his time and if not why didn’t you do the same to Rama Salim who left the club recently and we still see him around.KOGALO WILL STILL SHAKE THE WORLD.
