Stage is set for epic battles in FKF Cup

The dates for the 2012 FKF cup have been set. The stakes are huge. To begin with, the winner earns the right to play in the 2013 CAF Confederations cup. Secondly, 3 of the 4 teams left have a chance to secure a double i.e League and cup. This is something that has not happened in Kenya in a long time.

Gor Mahia who scraped past Muhoroni on penalties will play arch rivals AFC Leopards who beat Karuturi sports club. The match is scheduled for Nov 18.

In the other Semi final, Sofapaka will face Tusker.

All fixtures will be played after the completion of the Tusker Premier League and just before the Cecafa tournament. The final will be on Nov 21

One good thing about this date is that the league will be over ….. and all teams can concentrate on th cup without any excuses.

THIS IS THE PRACTICE ALL OVER THE WORLD….cup finals and semi finals are played after the league is over. extra motivation for clubs who want to go for ‘double’ or even ‘treble’ ……..2012 IS THE YEAR OF GOR MAHIA, I CAN SMELL THE ‘TREBLE’. THE PARTY CAN ONLY BEGIN.

GOR MAHIA MANAGEMENT PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE LETS USE THE UPCOMING CECAFA TOURNAMENT TO SCOUT FOR NEW TALENT. I AM WILLING TO OFFER MY SCOUTING SERVICES TO THE CLUB FOR FREE, YES ABSOLUTELY FREE !!!!!!!!

Ladies and Gentlemen. Kindly allow me to say this.

If it is true that we collected 2m from the Tusker game on Sunday then the EC should use the money to buy the Car inteneded for the Coach’s office use.

This will present the following advantages:

-The fans will experience a material effect of their faithfulness to paying the gate charges.

-Those not accustomed to paying will be motivated to change their ways and begin doing so in order to feel a part and pacel of GM development.

-The EC have been on the receiving end regarding doubts on accountability and transparency.

-Potential sponsors will see openly that GM is accountable and ambitious therefore the feeling to identify with development will push them to stream in with big offers.

    – The joy riders and weed smokers will immediately realise that this is a serious brand hence the urgent need to mend their ways.

Am of a different view from kassam in no.4 above.
Why dont we use part of that money to motivate the boys ahead of the 2 crucial final matches and the upcoming semi?look what chelsea did in the finals of the champions league after they were given huge cash incentives to win the tournament!!it might just work for us too.

  • It’s true that 2.7m was collected but we should know that these money is divided to so may parties e.g the security guys, the stadium, FKF etc etc. That usually leaves us with a small percentage.
But like @Fred says let’s use the money to motivate the players. On the coach getting a car I’m sure we will get him one at the end of the season. And who knows some magnanimous fellow might do a Kidero on the coach. And if not, as GM fans we are there and like solders just waiting for the command.

Now that we have Muho at Nyayo let’s continue our ONE GAME AT A TIME slogan. It sounds better than talking of winning the league or a double or a treble

  • The slogan “one game at a time” is the way to live and breath Soccer. In this way even if one looses they remain sober and hopeful for another day. K’ogalo let us keep with this and I can see ourselves being named the most hopeful Team. Did you know that with Hope there is victory? May we bring out the true sportsmanship and chart the way for others to follow.

One game at a time and with the usual tactics from the technical bench will see kogalo set a record in 2012

my opinion is that as we plan/budget for that money we should actually put our players and the coaches in mind so that we motivate them and i also hear that the money frm the harambee was 300k keep it and we see how much can be raised in order to buy the coach a car.
