Tusker Premier League side Gor Mahia were subjected to a 3-1 loss by Division One Zone A [Group 1] side FC Talanta in an early Wednesday morning encounter at the Nairobi City Stadium.

Gor Mahia found the back of the net first in the first half through their Ivan Anguyo sending the match into the halftime mark with his side a step ahead.

Comeback

FC Talanta however staged a strong comeback in the second half after Gor Mahia overhauled their team and managed to secure their three goals and snatch the morale boosting win.

Harambee Stars call-up Rodgers Omondi netted a goal moments after restart from a Hagard Baraza splitting pass. Martin Lemayian then snatched a brace to secure the win after rounding Jerim Onyango from Patrick Muchiri and John Kamau passes.

The friendly was to prepare the teams for their upcoming respective league matches.

Preparation does not mean that you have to win @Alego tat yien. It does not help to win 6-0 in friendly much and loose the main game. I think this is good learning experience and preparation for the team. The fact is that no team is small, what brings success is a fighting spirit that all players should have for more than 90 minutes.

Yawa let GM train in peace.I bet TB was trying something or the other & the scoreline is immaterial.
Btw i think only one training session per week should be open since am sure opponents as well fans attend these sessions. This is something EC should address.
Anyone/admin. who can shed some light as regards the Gor Mahia Fans Foundation. It seems 2 have some noble goals e.g academy, building a stadium, having a membership (corperative) of 20,000
Has it made any viable progress towards any of these?

Usibabaike. It was just a friendly. Talanta probably took it seriosuly whereas Kogalo were just warming up

By the way Talanta, KRA, Posta Rangers, Mahakama and BIDCO can beat any team in the KPL. These are good and organised teams. I’m sure Talanta took the friendlier more serious than Gor

In friendlies, we can not play with our full strength, avoiding unnecessary injuries. It was not a competition but a build up match so please guys relax.

So sad, @Dan Original, thats regrettable but do not be suprised to learn later that some EC members may be behind the replay scum for gate collections.
