Gor Mahia’s loss to Congo United did not come as a complete shock to most fans. The club had been playing poorly scoring less than one goal per game for the last month or so. The only time KOgalo was able to find the net regularly was against lower tier teams like Kapenguria and West Kenya Sugar. Opposing coaches brazenly bragged about knowing exactly how to beat Kogalo. It has become obvious that there were problems on the technical side of the team. Gone is flowing inter-passing play that characterized the club’s matches last year. Now the team resorted to innefectual long balls. The technical bench it is apparent has run out of ideas and was unable to adapt when other teams figured out how to stop them. The mark of a good coach is being able to read opponents and adapt  to the current situation. There was also the fielding which was questionable at best. Rumours are abounding that coach Zico uses questionable decision making when choosing the starting lineup. The loss to Congo United was thus the straw the broke the camel’s back. During the match, chants of “Zico must go” rent the air. After the match , some fans reacted by throwing stones. Others confronted coach Zico and held him hostage. Some simply left the stadium early and in disgust.

The Nation reports that Tom Ataro has called for the resignation of Ambrose Rachier. “How can we keep losing every weekend? “This is unacceptable. How can we keep losing every weekend?” lamented Ataro, who said all Gor Mahia branches have called on the resignation of both the chairman, Ambrose Rachier, and Otieno; else they will be hounded out of office. “No amount of ‘sweet-talking’ will stop the club members from seeking comprehensive changes in the club,” went on Ataro. In the wake of all this, current and former officials have asked for calm.

According to Supersport, Former Gor Mahia Chairman Fred Mwango has called on fans to remain calm and allow the current executive committee led by Ambrose Rachier to finish its term. Mwango defended Rachier who is the KPL vice `Chairman for steering the team to greater heights. “He has done quite a commendable job since he took over and we should appreciate the role he has played. I plead with the entire Gor Mahia fraternity to rally behind him and the team because winning and losing is part of the game,” said Mwango. Mwango also defended coach Zico saying he had done a commendable job and that introducing mid season changes when Kogalo still had a chance to win the league would be an ill-advised move.

Coach Zico for his part says he is not ready to concede defeat. According to the standard, Otieno, has  has not lost the dressing room as it is said to enjoy the support of most players.

According to Michezoafrika, Gor Mahia’s assistant secretary Ronald Ngala said they have not made any changes to their technical bench and that Zico is still the head coach. However, the officials said they have listened to the burning concerns raised by their fans and are working to address the issue urgently and with immediate effect.  “The fans have raised concerns over the performance of the team and we are working on addressing their concerns urgently. We are very disturbed as well by the poor performance in the recent past and we are also very concerned. We however call on the fans to remain patient as we seek to solve the issue permanently.” Said Ronald Ngala Gor Mahia’s Assistant secretary.

“Our main concern at this point in time is to focus on how the team will win all their remaining matches.” Added Ngala.

Gor Mahia have now slipped to 8 points behind league leaders Tusker, who along with Soafapaka and UIlinzi are rounding up into good form at the right moment. It remains to be seen whether KPL or Supersport will introduce sanctions against the clun for hooliganism.

Meanwhile, reports suggest that Former Rangers Fc assistant coach Michael Nam has been approached by Gor Mahia for a possible coaching role at the club.  Said nam: “They approached me for talks but we have not reached any agreement yet and nothing can be confirmed.”

Nam is credited with steering former league side Agro Chemical from ninth position to second in the Nationwide League standings, now only a point shy of leaders KRA and with a match in hand. Nam has an impressive coaching history in Kenya. He holds an international coaching diploma from University of Sports in Hungary in Brazilian coaching methodology. He also holds a British coaching license level 2 under FA and a UEFA advanced foundation course.FKL campaign mode and address the fires burning at the club more clearly.

What is clear is that the current situation is untenable. At this rate, attendance which has been riding high will plummett and the club risks loosing its sponsorship both due to loosing matches and due to hooliganism. Dejected fans will stop travelling to away games in large numbers as has become the norm. Its is therefore imperative that changes are made. What is also clear is that chairman Ambrose Rachier must get out of FKL campaign mode and address the burning issues more clearly. You cannot take fans for granted. Only 4 years ago, Kogalo played home games to a half empty city stadium. Recent history can easily repeat itself.

@Jabilo can you say again that Zico has made the best decision to leave GM!

CAN YOU SAY IT AGAIN IF ITS TRUE.

If its true then Ole lelerue,Kosero and others who by any chance would be sympathetic to him please do not fail to advise him, kindly send him some supportive advice. If i were you i wouldn’t fail to tell him these few:
1.Talent is born everyday use effectively that you find for the benefit of both parties.
2.No one gets away peacefully with destruction of career..career is life.
3.Arrogance does not build anyone..or anything it even scares away luck or blessings.
4.In the entertainment industry people are more interested in today’s presentation..patience forms a very small part of it.
Lastly, remember the old adage’ even small fish advises the big fish’..

Thank You bwana admin, the man is an average coach yet he decides to absent himself from the team ever so often to frolic with the national team. One man one job. See what is happening to KCB and what happened to Mathare United. Whoever, came up with this doubling up of roles between club and country.

Has Gor Mahia become an appendage of KPL, Harambee stars or FKL? People ought to resign from the club and pursue their other interests their past reputations notwithstanding!!

  • ODUOR12 says:

Sorry but to me there’s a BIG CRISIS. Mr. Chairman please take control.Like I said b4 IS THERE ANY BENEFIT FOR GM to retain Ziko as coach for even one more day? As for this Ataro guy why is he crying wolf so late in the day, he might just be taking advantage of the situation but if it will result in changes so be it.
We already have an overcrowded technical bench, why try to bring in Nam to add to the confusion. My advise sack the whole bench and give Nam a free hand (while looking for a coach with proven continental experience), then we fans can be patient as the new team rebuilds. Its an insult to plead patience toward the current bench.
Finally food for thought- a wily coach would have noticed that Congo were the better team and should have closed the game immediately we were lucky to score late in the match, that way we would have at least escaped with a draw.

  • OKOTH JABILO says:

@2 Agwa Kassam “ZICO” is gone forget about the article above, those are cut and paste stories from other media trying to test the waters if the guy can be sneaked back.

We all know very well that besides the football, GOR MAHIA has these mysterious spirit (JUOGI) that inspires fear and when over 10,000 Ko-galo fans have said NO then they mean NO, and the consequences are obvious unless you are a fool leaving in different planet.

When over 10,000 fans demand that you leave the club with immediate effect you do not have any option but to quit.

His close friends and relative have talked to him and convince him to quit unless he wants to go “THE GADDAFI STYLE”.

@Agwa Kassam we do not want to invite OCAMPO into the country just because of one individual, the “GREEN ARMY” staged a bloodless coup last saturday and the gentleman case is closed.

Just look at the back page picture on todays STANDARD and see for yourself the body language and the face of our “IMMEDIATE FORMER COACH” while he was protected under tight security.

WHO ON EARTH CAN TAKE SUCH A RISK AND ON WHOSE EXPENSE?

    Even business-wise his continued stay is not cost effective because of the consequences like;

    1. Our reputation will be dented due fracas which is
very costly to do damage repair afterwards.

    2. Gor might end playing in empty stadiums not because
“The green army” will stay away but due to the fact
they can not stand it at all cost.

    3. Because the latest track record he has exposed not
only his weakness but also the officials who
are sleeping on the job like his “thur-mate” one AR.
And since he has become an object of failure nobody
now wants to be associated with him including our
    “R.A.O”.

    4. Lastly once he is outside then we are going to use
him and get all on-goings within the office. He will
    be very useful in spilling the bins on the following;
    — THE TUZO DEAL
    — COUNTERFEIT TICKET
    — KO-GALO MERCHANDIZE
    — THE “KAWANGWARE” BUS
    — PLAYERS SALARIES
    — WE INVITE HIM TO JOIN US ON THIS BLOG AS A FAN.

SO GUYS JUST RELAX THIS IS HISTORY REPEATING ITSELF.

We do not need any coach at moment. Two former players can effectively handle the team namely AWILO and ZABLON-“PRO” just the same way MAURICE OCHIENG “SONYI” took over after suspension of Len Julians together with SIX first eleven players during the “ZAMALEK” debacle in 1985 and we went on to win the league and clinched the East and Central championship the following year.

I am happy and very relaxed because despite the loss to CONGO UNITED we managed to get rid of one bad apple that was spoiling the technical bench.

    GOD BLESS KO-GALO

    @

when a club lacks an organizational structure then you have what we now witness in gor, rumours coming rom every corner and officials accusing each other.this now looks like a village welfare.the base of this club is not known for such disorganization and chaos.if rachier cant put his own house in order then how can he stand for any top position with added responsibilities? why cant we go for a high calibre coach who can set up a foundation for future generations as the great cryuff did with barca.sianga tried it and the results were beginning to show during giddys time only for zd to spoil everything with his greed and ego.examples include kadiri ikhana, who won the caf champions league with enyimba, ruud krool who just left orlando pirates and was one of the exponents of total football of the 1974 and 1978 world cup in the dutch colours.some fans will claim that they are expensive to hire but then again is gor a cheap club and what are our ambitions? going for the likes of nam just confirms that we lack any ambition of surpassing the achievements of the 80s.Rachier hire that man krol and charge us 500 for the mainstand and i will duly pay week in week out as i love my club and will part with anything to watch them tear teams apart with total football.go to wikipedia and look at ruud krols cv.this should be our manager

The first thing a serious organisation does in this mordern world is to manage its communications. I wonder why in this age and time GM (and even AFC) do not have official web sites. If only the chairman would know how many people he would reach by using that forum. The alternative would be to have a forum (town-hall style) where members would brain storm on how to take the club to the next level. A site like this, gorfc.com, gormahia.co.ke (Gidi let us know what happened to the site) are very helpful for us to vent but we need to know the official position of some of the things we are debating about. While the chair says that ZD is still coach, some like @5 above think otherwise. Trully things have fallen apart but like all other things time will bring us back together and who knows ZD might be the person to get us the league title or some face-saving position. Just some thought from me. Where would we be if every player gave their 110% commitment like Eric Masika ‘OCS’? When our strikers are firing blanks he is there to do the needful

  • the earlier ZD left Gor the better, wish him well in his duties as the country coach and if he likes let him leave GOR MAHIA players off National team

  • omondi says:

UNDER ZIKO – THIS IS WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO GOR PLAYERS

Akumu – taken to defence from commanding mid field and was a good replacement for OpIYO who went to Thika,

Macheda – has never featured this season

    Kiplangat – NO MORE

Musa Muhamed (who is the best upcoming central defenders) now playing at number 3,

Odera – Alcatel – was last season he was the most gifted young player

Kevin omondi – pale shadow. Was in the national team at start of the season.

Awilo – Unceremoneously ending his career

Kitawi – left for Tusker after being bench

UNDER ZICO THIS IS WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO GOR FANS

Depressed, not clear who the starting lineup would be ( I have seen Makori play number 3 last saturday)
high temper because of the embarasment of loosing to all teams currently at bottom of the table.

    WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO ZICO

HE KEPT TWO JOBS, MADE MONEY OUT OF GOR AND HARAMBEE, KICHWA NGUMU, VICTIMISING PLAYERS AND RUNNING THE CLUB RECKLESSLY

AND FINALLY – HE IS LOOSING HIS GOR JOB AND HARAMBEE VERY SOON

  • WHY DO YOU SOUND MILITANT

From some of your comments here and elsewhere, it is now clear a sections of our fans don’t understand the role of fans in a club.

A section of k’ogalo fans have caused this great club substantial amount of money. Their militant behavior both inside and outside the stadium is always a security threat. How do you attract a GM to the stadium?

The green army is increasingly becoming indispline and disjointed. I have never bought this idea of K’ogalo being an army. Rather I prefered k’ogalo to be marketed as a brand. Bic, Kiwi, Kimbo are few brands that stood the test of time.

Zico will be credited to have put together a youthful side that is considered by many as the team of the future. Whether he leaves now or later, K’ogalo stand to reap big in the coming years. I am proud of his achievent and how I wish him to be given a honorable sentoff.

  • Albert Kosero (Sofaset Branch - Kampala) says:

The Executive committe has the final say on who will head the technical team until the end of the season. Some of us are chest thumping here for nothing. The EC are meeting and your guess is as good as mine, ZD will continue to the end. Wale hawataki waendelee kurusha mawe. There is law in this country and hooliganism will not be entertained even if Gor were to loose all their remaining matches. Infact if Inspector Genral of Police – Mathew Itere reads this blog, I urge him to arrest all those who appeared on camera during the saturday fracas. Police must be tough on this thugs. They must not be left to go scot free. There must be order. Gor has a legitimately elected officials. They have the mandate to manage the club until the next elections. Anybody thinking that they shall use thorax are mistaken. For god and my club Kogallo

  • JAHKOREMO says:

send off to where ole hapo hapana bro fans wamechoka na yeye hes the coz

  • Mwakio says:

@Kosero we fans are the stakeholders of Gor Mahia and we have all rights to query even if we have legitimately elected officials until Gor Mahia will become a private company where owner is the sole decision maker. We have legal rights to petition registrar of societies to force Gor Mahia officials to call for either Extra-ordinary General Meeting or Special General Meeting (SGM) where all registered members can raise their concerns on how the club affairs are being managed. Normally and legally all institutions registered under the societies Act /or Company’s Act are required to submit annual returns to the registrar.

And for your information, do you know that the current office of Gor Mahia never remitted returns to the registrar and they are in the office illegally? It is only that Gor Mahia fans are peace loving and have respect for the chairman.

There Kosero as must as we are against hooliganism and stone throwing, your comments here are totally and literally misplaced.

  • jabez says:

the only thing that matters here is the power of fans they are all that you need to run ateam and they do alot to help anyteam look at what happened to river plate in argentina everything you do in this football industry is to entertain the fans not karesa this sofast branch guy we all love GM and the best is what we diserve not failure in fact the appointment of zedekia was a dark moment in kogallo history anyway he spoilt my week how do i recover

  • Jackowili says:

Mwakio @19 above I totally agree with your rejoinder to Albert Kosero (Sofaset Branch – Kampala) @17. Tell him Mwakio; Tell him!
What beats me is why this guy deliberately reasons in the reverse direction. Looks like he is having a good time with the current state of affairs at GM.

  • Albert Kosero (Sofaset Branch - Kampala) says:

@Mwakio, I will consider your comment as romours for the time being until there is proof that Gor did not file it returns. Stone throwers are thugs not stakeholders. One thing you are forgetting is that even if you call for an elections in Gor at the moment, the man (Rachier) you have now developed hatred for will still win. The few blogger who are shouting themselves hoarse are only a small percentage that belongs to Ataro group. We cannot allow Gor to be led by a semi illiterate man. NO WAY!. For God and my club Kogallo

  • Sam Dola says:

Some sources indicate that this man ZD has gone and M. Nam comes in.Any confirmation from the office?

  • All Kogalo followers need to realise that the more we become militant and spread more rumours and propaganda the more Zico will stay. I want him to stay but i think those who want him to go are using wrong strategies. When some officials and fans combine Zico issues with Chairman issues, election issues and money politics, then Zico will go nowhere. The Executive Committee feels the issue is not Zico and believe me they will fight back.

Let us build this club for the future. I may not agree with Kosero all the time but his comments are a pointer to what the EC will do. Whenever Kosero comments soberly he is insulted. He is also adopting a bare knuckled approach against his haters. When the EC are attacked they will also adopt a militant strategy.

We need to agree to let Zico go at the end of the season. That is what the Chairman and his team should be told. We are likely to succeed with that kind of a strategy. Not rumours, not inuendo, not propaganda, not gossip and finally not violence.

Zico was appointed without vetting when fans didn’t want to see his predecessor. We may experience the same problem with the new coach. I suggest the office names three coaches who may be appointed next season for vetting by the club members. Zico may then be sent for a coaching course abroad next season. It would be good to have a former Gor player with interest in coaching to be assisted to achieve his dreams.

If you don’t agree with me and say Zico must go today. Will you also suggest what next. Give a plan for winning this season with your new coach. Tell me how you will handle the fallout in the team and the office at this point in a season.

Let us build a club to be proud of. A great club. A club that shows Kenya direction.

  • Pundit says:

@ Kosero…soon we’ll see who has the greater say..employee (coach & chairman) or owners (fans)!!that’ll be definately before the next game.

  • Oti Tall says:

@kosero ask urself 5 matches played 2 loss 3 draws scored 3 goals and 12 points loss, and to u CHAIRMAN surely this is not politics dont compare arsenal and stima with GM them they lost only one match each ARSENAL offered fans free tickets next game and apologised even u should

  • Amimo Opudo says:

i concur with creative on the issue of vetting. we must learn from the previous incidents of “roadside” hiring of coaches. we need at least 3 candidates for the coaching job whom must be intensively vetted. in addition as i mentioned sometime back, the management, technical bench and the players must sign performance contracts. this is the only way we shall have consistent flowing soccer & playing unit; more goals per game; more titles.

    Kogallo Diehard

  • jackowili says:

I am amazed and appalled by Chairman Rachier’s rather simplistic and arrogant defense of his prodigy Zico. It is an open fact that the two losses in a row that we suffered were the culmination of a string of unwarranted draws which by Gor’s standards are very poor results.
What litmus test has he used to determine who the true Kogalo fans indeed are? Does one have to support him and his underling Zico to be considered a true Kogalo fan? Deep inside my heart I am a true Kogalo fan and I am disgusted with the the way things stand currently (and many others are)but I cannot recall being influenced by anyone or by the upcoming national football elections. Rachier is turning out to be a dreamer. I want to put it to him and his sycophants that Gor is ailing now because as chairman he has neglected his role as he pursues other personal ambitions. He has actually slept on the job. We Kogalo fans are intelligent enough to note when things are wrong and we do not need to be influenced by anyone to express our disapproval of the teams performance. Albert Kosero (Sofaset Branch – Kampala) @22 the bone of contention here is Kogalo’s poor outing. It has nothing to do with someone’s perceived illiteracy or semi-literacy.
If only Zico could meet his side of the bargain nobody would raise objections to his management. Please rethink and be in better control of those emotional outbursts. Finally Albert Kosero (Sofaset Branch – Kampala)take time and read Woun Pap’s free counsel that he has been offering you. Bravo Mwakio!

  • OKOTH JABILO says:

@25 Pundit you have summarized it all in brief. The same individuals sometimes back bragged on this blog that in “GM BAD COACHES ARE CHASED AWAY BY MAJORITY OF FANS IN THE STADIUM” and if we feel offended why not put our words into action.

That has now come to pass and the verdict was passed. As far as we are concerned “ACTIONS NOW SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS”

Let us wait and see who between the ‘EMPLOYER'(Fans) and the “EMPLOYEE”(EC) will call the shots.

  • . . . .when Michael Nam came from the U.K, I met him @ T-Mall and his c.v speaks volume about him, let us remember that Nam is the trainer of Naivasha Sports youth Academy, going by this, here we have a guy who is good at identifying talents early on, and is a very approachable character, am sure he listens to players( under his tenure with Rangers f.c) he would listen and when he left, Rangers have come down like a meteorite . . ..as fans and club, we need effective leadership, remember Nam is still going to Sweden to do some courses, then Dutch to progress, and even if we do not land him, am so sure that there are many better coaches than the current, we are tired of Zico’s hooliganism and orthodox approaches to issues, . .. .when you see him, you only see arrogance and utidiness, . . . .God bless Gor Mahia

Its important for people who might not know to know the fact that GM has its owners who are not necessarily in the caliber of the so called distinguished personalities but are owners all the same and belong in the one and only body called ‘US’ We are the people..we are the owners. Thank you.

Its also important you’ve put it clearly that we are a party to the happenings in the club and are able and ready to shape the direction of events and activities.

I specifically commend you for stating that we are PEACE LOVING..I accordingly take it upon myself to state that we spring to action not on provocation but to enforce the vision, mission and any passions incidental to the fundamental objectives of the Mighty Gor Mahia as a club.

It is time to tell the so called officials that we are tired of their aloofness and previous deliberate abuse of our branch leaders by absconding several meetings called to address issues and answer questions put across by members, let them be informed that we will have answers.

Kosero, None of GM member is opposed to the rule of law and kindly note that Commissioner Iteere is a very respected man here in Kenya more so by the GM members by whatever name called..Green Army,Wana K’ogalo or just Gor Mahia Fans..Commissioner Iteere again for your information is very qualified for his position and relevantly experienced to be the professional he is..it follows therefore that he knows what to do and does not need your lectures to perform in position not withstanding that the interests of GM shall be safeguarded by all and sundry.

Ole lelerue a few months ago we welcomed you to GM and you’re even more welcome today..just a point of information..here at GM we don’t support wrongs..i would have told you details of how my community came to fully corporate with another community but i won’t because it will sound so tribalistic..let me just say that when you support wrongs they turn back to attack you..we as fans have complained about zico for killing careers, condoning issues of drug abuse, playing players out of position ending up with poor results..is that what make him the best coach in the Country you call him?

Lastly,a compete human being values God,Job,Family and leisure..we all strive to get the best out of all these aspects..its why we are pushing for performance at GM and we will achieve.. remember penye nia hapakosi njia.

THE TRAGEDY OF LIFE IS WHEN WE KEEP QUIET WHEN THINGS GO WRONG!

  • VINCENT OCAMPO says:

Hope our next match we shall see a difference.Have earlier said,I think we should have a Communication Manager who can address fans when matter arise. For awhile will disagree with Ataro he should also come clean instead of throwing dirty linen.Coz he is also part of the problem. What I may suggest if ALL branch officials can have a forum then meet Exective officials with Agenda of matters affecting the club and the better future for the remaining matches.Quick solution should be found out.

  • THANK YOU COMRADE KASSAM BUT I BEG TO DIFFER

I feel profoundly humbled to be part of this great K’ogalo family.

I am flabbergasted as a young member of this great family how coach Zico is being hounded out of office. Those of us backing him ( and I know we are many) are being labelled as supporting mediocrity. The words you used against our coach is not printable in this blog.

I don’t care who will be the next Kogalo coach, but please give respect where is due. None, not even the chairman have been spared on this onslaught. Do you really have genuine concerns or some of you are just waging personal vendetta ? We do not need to sow seeds of discord.

The mighty K’ogalo is an institution. We need the building blocks to be firm and stable. we are in the final stretch of this season. I plead for tolerance, sombrity and decency even as we raise our concerns.

If a new coach is named today, we should expect miracles. The challenges we are facing today will continue to follow him.

  • Jackowili says:

@35 omondiomollo the club assistant secretary Ronald Ngala is quoted as saying that in the executive committee meeting they held they were unable make any major decisions because the senior vice chairman and the chairman himself (Ambrose Rachier) failed to attend. AR is reported to have sent apologies!
This is what I read as arrogance: how does the chairman fail to attend such a crucial meeting at the very time that the team he chairs needs his leadership and presence most?
This confirms the casual manner with which the people entrusted with the responsibility of steering GM are handling this matter.
All the registered Kogalo fans, I appeal to you to put our heads together and file a court injunction barring Zico from managing Gor Mahia until the executive committee can convince us why they believe he should continue ruining this great club.

FELLOW FANS JUST CHECK OUT THESE SITES OF SEVERAL AFRICAN GIANTS.TAKE NOTE THAT THESE SITES ARE RUN BY THE CLUB WITH THE CHAIRMEN GIVEN THE PROMINENCE HE DESERVES.http://www.tpmazembe.com/,www.kaizerchiefs.com,www.orlandopiratesfc.com and lastly http://www.est.org.tn/publish/content/default.asp.THE LAST LINK SHOULD BE USEFUL AS THIS IS A CLUB WE BEAT AT KASARANI IN 1987 WHEN WE LIFTED THE MANDELA CUP.TAKE NOTE OF THE CALIBRE AND NUMBER OF SPONSORS THESE TEAMS HAVE ON THE BASE OF THEIR SITES.NOW BACK TO OUR BELOVED CLUB.WHERE IS OUR OFFICIAL SITE? WHAT ARE THE CHANNELS OF COMMUNICATION? WHAT I HAVE NOTED IS THAT SOME SO CALLED FANS WANT THE STATUS QUO TO REMAIN WHERE THE INTENTIONS OF THE OFFICE ARE NOT TO BE QUESTIONED-REMEMBER KALONZO SAYING THE INTENTIONS OF THE HEAD OF STATE ARE NOT TO BE QUESTIONED DURING THE CHIEF JUSTICE NOMINATION FIASCO,THESE ARE THE JA NGERES AND KOSEROS.JUST AS KALONZO TALKS OF HIS FAITH SO DO WE HEAR OF FOR GOD AND MY CLUB.JUST READ JOE HAMISIS BOOK AND YOU WILL KNOW THE KIND OF PEOPLE WE HAVE HERE.THE OTHER DAY WE HEARD HIM CRITICIZING THE PAST REGIME FOR NEGLECTING HIS HOME-MWINGI WHILE WE ALL KNOW WHICH REGIME HE SERVED WITH GUSTO AND SYCOPHANCY.ZD HAS TOLD THEM THAT WE CAN STILL WIN THE LEAGUE JUST AS HE THINKS HE HAS A CHANCE WITH THE G7 TO BE THEIR FLAGBEARER.LET US DROP ALL PRETENCE AND DECORUM AND TREAT THEM WITH THE CONTEMPT THEY DESERVE.WHILE YOU MAY HIRE THUGS TO BEAT US UP WHEN WE QUESTION YOUR INEPT LEADERSHIP AND STALE TACTICS AT CITY STADIUM ,TECHNOLOGY HAS MADE IT POSSIBLE TO LAY BARE YOUR DEFICIENCIES AND BANKRUPT IDEAS.WHAT WE HAD WARNED SINCE THE SEASON STARTED HAS COME TO PASS.YOU WILL SOON REALIZE THAT THE WORLD WE LIVE IN TODAY HAS NO TIME FOR YOUR MEDIOCRITY,YOU EITHER SHAPE UP OR SHIP OUT AS AUKA FOUND OUT.

Ja ngere its good to encourage these players rather than mock them, this was a big game and pamzo needed experience which he is yet to acquire, with time he will gain the experience and become a force to reckon with.Lastly i beg that we dont discuss players in this forum as we may kill talents.Just take a minute and assume we were giving our comments on a player and not the coach in the above comments what would be the effect on his career after visiting this blog and realizing he is full of mediocrity ?

  • A COURT INJUCTION WONT HELP

    Hello Comrade Jackowilli.

There is no denying the fact that our quest for either a FKL or KPL title is unstoppable. I don’t believe that your suggestion to file an injuction in court to stop coach Zico to discharge his mandate is a wise decision at the moment.

It is unfortunate we are taking our supremacy war to court. Do you think the court gonna solve our problem? Certainly not. Rather we should wait those we entrusted the leadership of our great club to make a decision that captures the aspiration of the passionate Kogalo fans. This power has been vested on them by law.

I wonder whether all these amorphous branches is recognized by our constitution. if not, how do you intend to entrench it in our constitution?

i am very optimistic that the man we are now villifying will rise to the ocassion. and if you, God forbid, chase him out of office, he will have left an indelible mark at Gor. Like his friend Ruto, he will hold his head high knowing that he has served this club with distinction earning friends & foes as a result.

@43 pareyio ole lelerue: when will that occasion come? When?

If it is time that he needed then we have been very patient.

Ndugu Pareyio ole lelerue after chewing ‘awayo’ (grapes) for so long a time comes when ‘awayo’ and teeth cannot tolerate each other!

Zico’s ‘awayo time’ is now and we say that awayo ojogore gi lak! (awayo and teeth have developed contempt and intolerance for each other).

  • Dan says:

Is all these as a result of lack of leadership or arrogance from the GM office holders? At this point we need sober thinkers so as to finish the league in a respectable position. Being combative, dismissive, abusive etc will not help. How I wish the chair could provide that leadership. All the fans need to hear is that something is being done. I believe even if they are told that currently we cannot engage a new coach within the remaining time then ZD and co. can continue to offer their services till the end of the season. For some of us who are pointing at such and such coach in Europe should know these guys don’t just pack their suitcases and head somewhere because they have beed mentioned in some blog. And are we also ready to pay for breach of contract the moment the fans haunt them out of office before their contracts are over? Mind you we are yet to pay Uinzi for the damages. Read (gorfc.com) that some branches will hold a demo today. Is that necessary? Are all the avenues exhausted? Thank God the only branch that seems to care about the future of the club (Facebook) is abstaining. Let’s think of our players as most of them are young and might be further distracted from all these shinanigans. Everybody has raised their issue and the time now is to sit down and reason together. Emotional and irrational reactions have never been productive. I’m looking forward to the KCB and AFC matches as the league is getting more and more open. (@Ja Ngere Ibra is injured and that’s why he didn’t play last nite. Take time to watch other teams as well and you might realise that our problems are not unique and the only difference is the way we handle ours). If only we could use this time to counter the criticism that is associated with the club supporters then we would have made a very big statement both in and out of the field. What if the EC decides that ZD continues holding his position? What will we do? Go by them as our leaders or resort to mobocracy? I believe only a fool doesn’t change their mind and the fact that we can use this channell for communication then we are all learned beings. We need stability and if it means telling ZD (like i HOPE THEY WILL DO ON tUESDAY) that we are hurting and he recognises that then let’s move forward. As we are busy dismantling our house some are fortifying theirs

  • Didn’t people study summary writing here?!!!!. We need to know how you are feeling but surely we cant get all the time to read 500+ words. Summarize.

  • Jackowili says:

I read it all but I had to be patient. You see @47 Jack Advisor people are different and we come from all shades of backgrounds!

  • Agwa Kassam says:

Dan..kindly avoid the holier than thou attitude.
I am a member of another branch, am not aware as at now of the demo you’re talking about but had i known i would have taken some time off to take part for very many reasons two of which are- i don’t throw stones and demos give me an opportunity to express what i feel. Two, i don’t believe in keeping quiet ineffectively, that is when i want to achieve something i go for it!

Facebook is just one of the branches in GM but is not the only branch, do you mean to tell us that they have an IQ a step better than all the remaining branches? May you be informed that we live in the era of freedom, reason and development, all branches are able to make independent and mature decisions binding on members..

Accordingly my branch is meeting on Sunday at 2 P.m whatever decision we reach in that meeting shall be binding on us as members regardless of what Facebook branch decides to do or appear to look like.

Dan..you’ve reacted as a person who’s bent on his superiority without listening to other people’s views as well, but this is a forum just for sharing not making decisions..

-Have you ever read several of us complaining about branch leaders seeking meeting with the GM officials to sort out issues, and isn’t this evasion by officials not the cause of hooliganism surrounding the club fraternity?
-Which branch is amorphous after being registered with the Registrar of Societies? What can be more legal in this country than a certificate from registrar be it Marriage certificate,Death Certificate,Birth,Incorporation etc.

-Are you telling us that the officials should take blogs more seriously than branches?
Open your eyes to the fact that everyone chooses a branch to affiliate with and no branch is superior to others no matter what you think or do.

Football is not a chance game it has a lot to do with planning..well, Ulinzi reduced Tursker’s chances yesternight but are we saying that all these teams will lose so that we lift the trophy..did we not see our current situation coming.

Fans let us understand that going by the way we’ve been performing it will take a miracle for us to lift the trophy especially if Zico is left at the helm there. We need not throw stones in fighting for any trophy ..lets retire to the fact that we’ll live to fight another season when we get our planning mechanism right..but any expressions, communication and suggestions is allowed anytime and at any relevant fora.
