Timonah Wanyonyi eyes possible return

Midfielder Timonah Wanyonyi who left Gor Mahia in mid 2014, has confirmed that he will leave AFC Leopards and will be seeking a new club with a possible return to Gor Mahia.

“My possible destination is either Gor Mahia or Tusker.”  he said to goal.com

He left Gor Mahia at the behest of his father, a staunch Ingwe fan.

“He (Wanyonyi) was under lot of pressure from his parents to join Leopards.  Although our rivals haven’t contacted us, I believe they have sealed a deal (with the player) because he is moving on a free transfer,” said Chris Omondi who was the Gor Mahia secretary general at the time.

But his stay at AFC Leopards has been fraught with problems. It started on the wrong foot when INgwe bounced a cheque that was meant for Timonah

“It is true that a cheque for Sh200, 000 given to me by AFC Leopards’ bounced and my father was nearly arrested after he presented it to the bank.” he said at the time.

Whereas he impressed at Gor Mahia, even earning a spot in the senior national team, he has struggled at Ingwe, getting little playing time.

But Wanyonyi was a youngster at the time and has likely matured and learned in the intervening two years.

With current squad remaining intact minus one or two where does he fit? If he had stayed by now he would be a key member of national team. This a clear case of missed opportunity due to misadvise.

He left us in acrimonious circumstances. …why should we take him back after he felt like a superstar?in my opinion he isn’t any better than the players we have currently.let him go to Tusker!!

Timonah you are free to join gormahia anytime
You have learnt your mistakes n definitely you will fit into gormahia
Anyone can have desire to make money n fall into temptation. So bloggers lets not behave as if we are angels in one way or another we have made mistakes in our life

Collins okoth after being a prodigal son for sometime he was given chance n you can see he has made amends to his life n career. Again look at abondo after being wasted by tusker he became a cornerstone of gor. So as bloggers lets not chase players to where they can loose their careers n become bhang sniffers.alcoholic.robbers.khat chewers.

Please bloggers lets not brag that we have enough players. We could have enough legion of foreigners but the most of local based players are not fully prime in their careers so at least we need some players like timonah with high work rate to fit into CAF 2016 plans.

Its worthy to note olunga could not become a top scorer because sibomana n walusimbi were injured at some point hence wafula could play as a left back defender hence olunga could not get passes he used to get from walu.sibomana.wafula to score because the players who replaced the injured ones lets say were not yet ripe n could not pass goal bound passes to olunga.

Time and again gor office or whichever the gor scouts have been minting money through recruiting fake or armature players who could not even hold n pass balls n cheat fans that they ve recruited the best only for them to fail to proof themselves. The current gor first eleven have set standards so lets not gor lower standards lets gor work with finished products those who want exposure can be taken n play for gormahia junior. CAF is. No babies tournament.

In case no one leaves kogalo, only two new faces will be enough. Benard Mangoli and Erick Johanna will add something to the team. These two guys are real talent

By the way who are we to choose players for Nuttal? We almost had the same exchanges when Gattuso and Abondo and even BlackBerry was coming back. If the EC and TB tinks they need him and is heart is for the deal then I see no problem. During the Pope’s visit we were all religious and that’s where the prodigal son parable comes in. So Timmo, as fans we have no problem with anyone coming back.

On @Ingo how I wish he used that energy to organize his team. As it is Ingwe can easily be relegated next year uless a mracle happens between now and Feb next year

Welcome Welcome, and Welcome Wanyonyi, mluya na mjaluo ni kitu moja, even baba donated money for ingwe when they were stuck, Wanyonyi is a very good left winger and no question about that, we need Eric Johana and Cheche to follow suite.
