Timothy Otieno negotiations stalled
The future of Timothy Otieno at Gor Mahia has become uncertain. Otieno who joined Gor Mahia on a 6 month contract in July is now outof contract. Negotiations with the club have stalled. The club has offered a two year contract but Otieno wants money upfront.
Gor Mahia and Tusker chase Olunga
Both Gor Mahia and Tusker have shown an interest in signing towering Thika United forward Michael Olunga. This according to a report by the Star newspaper. Olunga is another product of Kakamega high school. When he was named secondary school player of the year, he immediately announced that he was interested in playing for Gor Mahia. But Gor Mahia already had several strikers like Sserunkuma, Lavatsa, Rama Salim and were pursuing Kiongera. Olunga most recently featured for Thika United where he is now out of contract.
Gor Mahia to pursue young players
With purse strings tight, Gor Mahia will be pursuing younger players for the upcoming season according to CEO Lordvick Aduda
“We have had a strategy in place which we formulated alongside the club technical bench and we will be working on it as you know the transfer window only opened up on Monday and it is too soon to declare our targets,” said Aduda to the Star.
Aside from Olunga and Otuoma, Aduda indicated that they would be pursuing Ronald Omino of Muhoroni Youth.
Now everyone wants a down payment after they had about what Flava received.
Lets face it,Fooball is a proffesion & like all proffesions has it condions. If Otieno wants a signing fee, whats wrong with that. Its world over that players r entitled to sighning fee. The guy has great potential & thats y Bobby brought him to Gor.We shud not let this guy leave Gor bcos of minor issues.Likewise to Olunga who’s heart is in Gor.How I wish they also sign Boni to back Jerry in goal.I am also hoping that a top striker (foreigner) will be signed.
Payout the footballers are in the business of playing football period.
who doesn’t know that Timothy and Olunga are among a group of the best young talents in kenya today?
We need to do all possible to have both youngsters in our ranks. They are potentially the future Gor Mahia strike force… .just sign them up!!
UPDATE ON PESA YA KOGALLO !!!
Kogallo had Kshs 12 Million as at Nov 2014. Ukitoa pesa ilipwa ya Kshs 1 Million leaves Kshs 11 Million.
Iyo Kshs 11 Million ukitoa salaries ya players na committee members for the next 3 months, November, December and January i.e kshs 3 million per month, become kshs 9 million…itawacha kshs 2 million kwa bank !!!
Kshs 2 million itasaidia vipi na player recruitment ama paying signing fees ? sasa nyinyi ambao mnakula/mnaiba pesa ya kogallo you see the problems you have left us behind ?????
Youth strategy will never lead us to conquer Africa if that is our objective……nevertheless I accept our financial position therefore olunga, otuoma, omino and the other emerging youngsters in East Africa make sense.
Yes we may have financial challenges but kwani how much is Timothy asking for that EC seems to be dragging its feet.
Recently GM netted Kshs.12M for such issues.
I don’t even agree that it should be a down payment?
As per the above post pay Timothy his signing fee and also sort our the academy issues otherwise GM will get a raw deal once we’ve developed the talent.
Meanwhile it now Friday and still nothing from Jabilo/CEO as regards the handing over of Gor Mahia.net’s motivational contribution to the club.
Jabilo please explain the situation.
Oduor 12, pesa ilikulwa lakini mimi nina uchungu sana !!
the club got 12 million in november, remove 1 million for player bonus and then remove 9 million for salaries and allowances for the three months the club/league will be in recess, that leaves only kshs 2 million for transfers and signing fees.
Hiyo pesa aitoshi!!! n’gooo!!!
ODUOR12 I have confirmed with CEO that the event has been tentatively slated to take place on Wednesday next week. The media house has finalized to host the team players and officials for a lunch meeting and there is cash generating / sponsoring deal that will be officially launched between GM, SG and SAFCOM whose details will details will be availed on the material day.
Yes it has been long overdue since we finalized the collection of “OPERATION OKOA GOR MAHIA BRAND” ; But a very BIG UP to CEO for hammering the deal that goes along in lasting solution to K’Ogalo financial woes , besides inviting at least two respected bloggers to officially hand over our token to Ja-goal. It is upon us to avail our two members to grace the occasion. Over to you @ODUOR12 with all due respect to grace the occasion plus one
more member.
@Pascal “MVUMULIVU ULA MBIVU”. …. “FISI HULA NYAMA MBICHI”.. TAFAKARI hayo.
I understand the efusi are luring calabar to the den. it would be very frustrating if the deal materialize, since afc blocked the eminent move of sale. we have a very inept EC indeed if that can happen .blessed
I still don’t understand why we don’t want players to move clubs yet we move jobs, colleges, partners etc. If a player’s heart is to go play for Ingwe so be it. Ain’t we also luring Sale, Otuoma, Olunga, Fiston , Agwanda etc? Are their EC inept too.
We lost BB, Teddy etc but we still journeyed on. I still believe that if we have the Timothy’s, Kevos, Lavatsas, Otuoma, Olunga etc will be in the team then I can see us retaining the title next year
@Dan Original,m sorry to say this, I have realised that whenever I post, you must counter it in a negative way. why take it personal while you don’t even know me in person. anyway, I was trying to point out, afc blocked SALE move while luring calabar on the side. blessed
@Amimo no hard feelings. just exchange of ideas. Could be a coincidence
Jabilo I am humbled by your request but due to unavoidable commitments I will not be able to attend the hand over ceremony.
However as we wait for the fateful Wednesday I would like to thank you for putting things in perspective.
Now apart from retaining the league (and reclaiming the GorTv Shield) next year GM will be seeking to compete effectively (not just participate) in CECAFA/CAF. It is therefore imperative for EC not only to recruit but also retain quality players.
AFC have less pressing needs as they are restricted to the local scene only making them less attractive to serious/ambitious footballers
AFC thwarted GM’s overtures on Saleh by offering him a (better)contract extension and I see no reason why our EC cannot offer “King David” attractive enough terms to keep him at GM given that he and the team by extension have a chance to prove their mettle by competing in the regional/continental arena. This is a dream exposure for every ambitious player.
Am more concerned about the King David/ Sudan’s El Mereik matter but as for King David/ AFC issue “am worried about nothing” unless EC is inept, yes very inept.
