  • R.I.P our beloved colleagues. You lost lives supporting the biggest club in our region. Our fellow bloggers lets use this space for condolences only and not mix with whats happening in our playing and tech units. That can be addressed on the previous subjects. Just a suggestion though.

  • A BAD WEEEKEND THOUGH FOR K’ OGALO?

First, congratulations to Karuturi Sports for the win.

Take heart Comrades. The league is becoming competitive thus no team can be underrated. As I predicted earlier , the Old Trafford ( a nickname for KS homeground) has not been our good hunting ground. It has brought mixed fortunes, both wins and losses.

I urge everyone to remain focused because the league is just starting. On Wednesday night, we shall engage our perenial rivals, CHUI in a Top 8 fixture. They will come to the match guns blazing, what with an unbeaten record for quite sometime now! I hope our boys will have the mental strength to withstand the pressure both from the CHUI and our supporters. The CAF confederation return leg fixture is hot on our heels.

I take this oppotunity to reiterate my earlier commitment to support coach AA and his team.
It is too early to judge their performance. I amqite disturbed by the reports posted by Futaa.com about a section of our fans who accosted the coach after the match. This is barbaric, uncalled for and will definately derail our league programme. Infact I would even suggest those caught on camera must be handed to the police immediately. We are tired of these criminals who are tarnishing the image of this club.

I had prophesied that before April, we shall have demanded for the sacking of Headmaster. It has come to pass. Welcome Bobby Ogolla and Tom Ogweno. To my fellow fans, let us support Bobby. At least he has a track record unlike the uninspiring AA who was hurriedly hired without proper background checks. For God and my club Kogallo

Definately the inclusion of Ken Odhiambo and unnecessary recruitment of players has brought us to this mess i wonder how and why the EC never for saw this!

Come June we will be seeing a mass exodus of players out again..

George Bwana should stop behaving like an activist. Let him know that he is an elected official. He is behind the current mess. He wants to please fans instead of doing what should be done. @Agwa Kassam, I agree with you Gor did not need 13 new players. Gor did not need Ken Odhiambo for an assistant coach. For God and my club Kogallo

Gor Mahia are talking to a high profile coach to take over the reigns at the club on a full time basis.

Dean Mwiinde, Zambia’s assistant coach at the recently ended African Cup of Nations, where the Chipolopolo emerged winners, will be in the country later this week to discuss details on a possible move.

Mwiinde has also formerly coached the Zambian national U23 side.

According to Gor’s assistant Secretary General Ronald Ngala, Mwiinde is their first and only choice so far to take over the position, vacated by Anaba Awono.

    Jet in soon

-We are talking to Dean Mwiinde, who was an assistant coach for the Zambia national team that won the AFCON in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea recently. We have been in discussions with him and he has accepted our offer to come over and see what we are about.

-He will jet into the country, Wednesday 7 March 2012.

-We have not yet signed anything with him, nor have we agreed a deal, but the initial talks have gone well, so we hope starting Wednesday we can have good news to announce, Ngala told Futaa.com.

Mwiinde for now, is the only face Gor are looking at to take over the role, which has been filled in an acting capacity by former Sofapaka man Bobby Ogolla.

  • Let’s all hope that the report on this accident turns out to be a false alarm and also be a WARNING to us as we travel away to support our beloved club to take all the necessary precautions. We (together with AFC) have lost so many lives for reasons I believe could have been prevented.
On soccer matters the league is tough and looks like all a coach has to say is that we will beat GM and it so happens. At the same time a GM coach says that we need to pray to get a win. What a contrast!! By the way Ulinzi has also sacked Nyangweso and true GM are looking southwards to Zambia to recoup our dwindling fortunes. Thank God all these are happening early in the league and we can still recover. I also believe that our players need some ‘tough talk’. Surely you cannot decide when to train and when not to. For my club

  • @Albert Kosero (Sofaset Branch Kampala) and @Agwa Kassam, please note that there was nothing wrong with signing 13 players or hiring Ken Odhiambo. As a matter of fact; in all the games we have played so far, the technical bench does not even understand team formation as well as the chemistry of the team. Does it take the coach to go 15 games in order to understand his players and suitable positions of players? Take for example, Ali Abondo has never played as winger but our coach has been playing him as no. 7 rendering him to be ineffective.

We brought in D Owino as a central defender instead of fielding him to gel with other team members, the lad has been warming the bench. Please note that poor fielding alongside poor team selection and lack of football patterns have been major issues with the technical bench.

There could be also infighting in the technical bench as quoted elsewhere by the bloggers. This will definitely affect the playing unit and team performance in general.
The admin also need to be discipline and behave like officials but not like fans as the common case with the current office. Even officials like Ngala, Ojei, Nyadenga, Kilo, Bwana etc have all been misbehaving. These are the officials that you bloggers Kosero, Agwa etc voted for during the AGM and you have to live with this mistake. We need professionals to be voted in the office but not jokers and pretenders.

  • On this sad and terrible news who is responsibler for it on this site? What are the details of the accident? We need responsible reporting on this site to tell fans, families and friends the truth of the accident. I heard about it in the Gigi Gigi and Ghost Mulei show (Radio Jambo) in the morning but let us get the facts.

  • i feel our failure emanated from these areas
    1. our EC is made up of a bunch of people with simple intention of making money for their tummies not gor mahia
    2. the technical bench is bloated with useless people like pro, awilo, ole tunda etc the coach cannot do his work properly
3.the playing unit is too crude if the unruly lot can accost the coach why not players too
    4. the role of the fan is not defined in gor what are the purpose of the EC to the players , fans , community
    5. there is a traditional lack of will to develop gor into any worthy outfit just to make sure the EC in office have the chance to juggle the liver as muchuki put it a few years ago
    6. @mwakio,woud ogolla cc,arumtidi etc put it we really needed to move from one step to the next by doing way with the most backward practises which make the club look like a village market for example do you do that when tourists come to kenya they go into school like makini to give donations there whereas such school are well developed reason being that they have good setup that will ensure that their money is well spent we are bigger than tuzo in terms of branding why do we have to cling to such a small brand like tuzo where as we have multinational companies there is abig bank with interest in football i had a chat with a the CEO of the bank recently they even have requested the ec for a deal but the EC is too reluctant simply because in the banks request letter they needed properly edited accounts ,expenditure etc
    7. bringing inn bobby is wrong we need people who can teach football and train players who are talented like akumu who would be a big thing in kenyan football

looking at kogalo match against the lads from mozambique, with a good coach it was possible to beat them not that they were better than kogalo technically and tactically. In any case the only player worth talking about was the player who came in the second half in red boots.strictly speaking kogalo should have triumphed as feroviaro was a very ordinary team.In my opinion, kogalo needs a very good coach like Len Julians who can sharpen the current players to be sharper technically, all said and done i hope Bwana, magak and our chairman Rachier is reading this today.I believe the current players are good and can challenge any team in Africa.
