  • Awono will survive, football is a language on its own…….you dont need a translator. wonder how fabio capello ?(italian ) coaches English, wonder how french, italian and spanish coaches fare in Africa and Asia yet the dont even understand a word of what the players are saying !!!

jakoyo,no one said that he wont survive.awono,is one of the best technicians around, that he needs not to proove.so far his work speaks for itself.what am saying is that lets get him a translator, especially during pre and post match press confrences.somebody can even volunteer to do this, (i suppose mzee speaks french).
Speaking of ‘old fab’ you remember he was always misquoted by the loud-mouthed,british press until he said that he would only give interviews in italian only during his early days in england?)

Awilo must be given somthing. Days when kogalo had no money to pay players. players could walk to stadium and Awilo was there. Rachier and the office please awilo must be there. That is the only way we can reward loyalty. If we treat him badly then new players will never have faith and or loyalty with the Team. This must be part of the discussion in any next meeting ya ofisi. please please please. Luo culture do not allow a bad send off for a loyal servant. we cannot afford to do that. guys

10 new players and still counting!!

This calls for patience among the Gor Mahia Family especially the fans as it will take time for them to gel and play in tandem. The move is quite timely but guys let us be patient as mzee Siang’a once put it.

After all this noise we have made about Awilo….let us ask ourselves…Did Awilo have any plans for himself after GM? as much as we running around lobbying for him to be considered that is the furthest we can go…this should be a warning to the young players to save up their monies and have a plan to continue in the field either as coaches or trainers… the solution
Like every other employer all clubs in the KPL should start a retirement scheme for all the players that play for their clubs……particularly GM should have it’s private wing of business which we have talked about in this forum….so that GM can own estates, transport vehicles, shopping mall which could in turn be employment avenues for our retiring players….
