Tender(Reference No.GM/01/12) and other financial scams at GMFC.

Are the GMFC officials swindling the public and gullible fans through fake tenders and other schemes? Take note of the following:

In January, GMFC through its chairman placed an advert in the Daily Nation inviting interested firms to tender for the supply of various goods/services to GMFC in the year 2012/2013. Categories GM/08/01/12 and GM/14/01/12 were for provision of specialized security printing (match tickets) and match day security services respectively. GMFC also undertook under section 1.8 ,of the tender documents, to notify all participants formally of the outcome of the prequalification process. Tender documents were obtainable at a fee ranging from kshs.3,000-5,000 per category.
On 9/02/2012 the bids were publically opened at GMFC offices at Nyayo National Stadium 1st Floor Block A, with GMFC being represented by Mr.G Bwana and Mr.Odera. Several of the leading security and ticketing companies put in their bids for the above 2 mentioned categories. WELLS FARGO & PESAPAL DID NOT BID, SO WHY ARE THEY BEING SNEAKED IN THROUGH THE BACK DOOR.
    We therefore wonder why:

1.Some officials,Mr. G Bwana in particular, have been aggressively fronting these 2 companies that did not even bother to bid in the first place. PLEASE EXPLAIN YOUR INTEREST ?

2.Mr. Bwana undertook to notify bidders of the outcome of the process in 2weeks.To date nothing has been forthcoming. Note this is the same official who undertook to pay players released by the club immediately, only for fans to read in the press that the said players were threatening to storm GMFC offices over a month later due to non-payment and non-processing of their release letters. ITS EITHER INCOMPETENCE/FINANCIAL BLACKMAIL

3.Why was there a delay in paying the players yet the officials had raised money through the on/off K’galo nite which was finally held at Maladen Club. Apparently it was switched from Splash whose management insisted on paying all proceeds directly into GMFC’s bank account, this did not go down well with certain officials.

4.The same officials were involved in the fishy player signings, most notable being the Nigerian Nwosu and now Imbem who the club can’t use because he doesn’t have a work permit. Are these officials COMPETENT to run a club of GMFC’s standards?

5.Why the reliance on the untrained and corrupt GMFC security( again remember Bwana assuring fans of “PROPER SECURITY” before the ill-fated match against AFC). One of the reasons for the SSMB’s refusal to allow GMFC back to its stadia is the clubs insistence on the use of this ragtag GMFC security instead of reputable security firms which bidded to provide such services. This is costing GMFC the much needed extra income yet it is an open secret that ALL the club’s expenses including player signings are underwritten by its chairman alone. YOU CAN GUESS WHO POCKETS THE “UN-TICKETED” GATE COLLECTIONS BY GMFC SECURITY.

    6. Currently in the whole country its only GMFC officials who have the guts to appeal to the public for funds yet refuse to inform the same public how much has been raised. WHY THE SECRECY?

ASK YOURSELF WHY IS GMFC WHICH GET 60% OF ALL THE KPL GATE COLLECTIONS, IS SPONSORED BY TUZO AND SUPPORTED BY THE MOST BRANCHES ALWAYS “FUND RAISING”.

Despite their numerous pre-election promises of accountability, transparency and raising the standards of GMFC most of the current officials might actually have vested interests apart from being devoid of financial ability or even ideas to run the club. I CHALLENGE ANY OFFICIAL TO DENY THE ABOVE FACTS.
THE JURY IS OUT! BEWARE OF NEXT TIME G.BWANA/FAIZ OCHIENG COME UP WITH “ANOTHER SCHEME OF RAISING FUNDS FOR K’GALO!”

These goals were classic and a great morale-booster due to the fact that the match was played away from our usual CITY STADIUM. Now let us focus on our next match. The whole team played well and I can say Jerry has greatly improved. Again I will repeat – where we are not doing the right thing we’ll continuously criticize without fear or favour and when we do well like in last match we have to give credit. Some people have not been realistic in this site and they want to act as supervisors of other people’s comments.

Dan Sserunkuma is a classic poacher who is in the right place at the right time. Shades of hezborn Omollo. We need those kind of finishers.

  • @GORBIDDER, what you have reported need to be investigated properly. My 1001 questions, who will be responsible for investigating inept officials like G Bwana/Faiz?

GORBIDDER we would like to know how you get these information.

We do not have right and accountable EC and this is largely blamed on fans who do not vete EC candidates. We need to change the club constitution to let the club be run by appointed board of directors.

Was i the only one irritated by [deleted] persistent barking and insults at both the players and technical bench throughout the game?

  • GORBIDDER, thanks for the information. I hope you are not just angry at being denied an opportunity to do business with GorMahia/

  • @Opuk raronge, you are totally wrong on this matter. Look at how Wekesa was always leaving Monda unmarked and after shouting at Wekesa, the player improved in his positioning. I think the coach was right the way he is handling the technical matters.

We have to see some seriousness with the playing outfit and I fully support his actions. I think his actions are meant well for good results. Let us be encouraged if the coach utterances and shouting are going to produce positive results, let us all support the coach to give results. Let us also stop parochial arguments and negative energies which are not going to help the club to achieve positive performance both in and out of the pitch.

The coach is so far doing a good job and I give him 8 out of 10 now.

Let us also stop personal hatred to our coach and focus on support the team to deliver results. We better put aside our sideshows at this critical time when we need positive results and move the club to the rightful place.

@GORBIDDER why are you posting your frustration at this time and on this particular forum? Something is not adding up my friend because we are in the midseason and yet all this fiasco took place during the first quarter of year 2012.

Now what do you want bloggers to do, with regard to your voluminous accusation over the well known HYENA’S in GM EC. If you read the tender document advertised on the print media then you have no reason to cry foul over paltry 3000 to 5000 kshs for tender application. GM had the sole responsibility to decide on the fate of the birders and were not under any obligation legally or otherwise suppose to respond within what ever time frame. G.Bwana only gave you a gentleman response to quench your thirst for business; PERIOD!

Please Mr. GORBIDDER as much as I thank for informative corruption exposure within the GM EC; But the FORUM and the TIME is completely misplaced and out of focus.

The current mood on this blog is purely Football technicality, performance appraisal and our club rating as far as local and international football standards are set. Otherwise any other issue’s pertaining to management is detrimental to our above agenda as of now till end of the season. Those are the politics of side -shows that do not fit the bill of this blog. POLE!!

I am sorry for your frustration but I will be a party to your man made problems.

  • Good result, thank God luck was on our side. However defensively and in the midfield we are not yet quite there. We seriously need fullbacks who can overlap. The twin attack of Rama and Dan looks very gud.
@Gorbidder Wow if what you say is true than its truely sad. Prima facie your exposure explains a lot but as O.T says our hands “are tied” we elected these hyenas
