  • Coach Ze Maria has made five changes to his starting squad ahead of Sunday afternoon’s SportPesa Premier League clash against Ushuru FC at Nyayo National Stadium.

The Brazillian tactician has lined up Jacob Keli and Edmond Murai to lead the attacking front in the absence of Jacques Tuyisenge and Enock Agwanda. Keli has twice featured from the bench in Gor Mahia’s last two outings, scoring against Kakamega Homeboyz and playing a game changing role in the comeback victory against Thika United with an assist for Tuyisenge’s winning goal.

Khalid Aucho returns to the side after missing the last two ties due to international engagement and will partner Okoth in the central midfield. Another new starter is Kahata who will take charge of the midfield creative role with Innocent Wafula powering down the right flank.

Kahata and Wafula’s introduction in the second half against Thika United were Gor Mahia’s turning point in the hard fought comeback victory. Youngsters Amos Nondi and Eric Ouma also are also selected and will start on the bench.

Starting XI – 23. Bonface Oluoch – GK, 14. Karim Nizigiyimana, 3. Abouba Sibomana, 18. Harun Shakava, 5. Musa Mohammed (Cpt), 6. Collins Okoth, 29. Innocent Wafula, 8. Francis Kahata, 10. Khalid Aucho, 28. Edmond Murai, 27. Jacob Keli.

Gor Mahia striking force is unfortuantely blunt. Without Tuyisenge in the field Gor Mahia cant score? Sad. Let the striking force be sharpened during the next transfer period in June.
