K’Ogalo chairman Ambrose Rachier reveals to Goal that they have handed the Scottish tactician a new deal that has been back-dated to July, 2013.

Gor Mahia chairman Ambrose Rachier has exclusively revealed to Goal that the new deal has been back-dated to July, 2013.

“I can confirm that we have given Williamson a new improved three year deal to keep him at the club for a longer period and to keep away those who were interested in his services.”

Kizito Signs

Ugandan International Geoffrey Kizito has become the second Ugandan to sign for KPL champions Gor Mahia ahead of next season. Kizito penned a one year renewable contract after agreeing on personal terms that will see him as one of the highest paid players at K’Ogalo.

An official who sort anonymity confirmed to supersport.com the new development. “Yes I can confirm we have signed Kizito and he has already joined the rest of the team in Loitoktok where they have set up their pre season training camp.”

No Zico says Faiz

Kenyan Premier League (KPL) champions Gor Mahia have rubbished reports that the club is looking to re – sign coach Zedekiah Zico Otieno to work under head coach Bobby Williamson.

Reports in the Kenyan football circles had indicated that such a move had been agreed on, to see the coach return to the team three years after leaving but Vice Chairman Faiz Ochieng says in his capacity as an executive member of the club, he knows nothing of the sort.

Table the claims

He went on to challenge anyone with proof that the former Kenyan international has been hired at Gor Mahia to table his claims.

-Saying we have hired Zico is not just a big lie but a bad rumor. If we would have hired him I would know as a member of the executive. That is a lie and I am calling on anyone with proof that Zico has been hired to come forward with it.

Angelo Okumu to go on loan

Kenya Premier League (KPL) defending champions Gor Mahia will be loaning out their June acquisition from Nairobi Provincial League (NPL) side Tena United Angelo Okumu.

Angelo who lighted up his presence at Kogalo with a debut goal against Shabana in the GOtv Shield has been tipped by club secretary general George Bwana an asset to the Green Army with the loan deal set to give him first team experience.

-We are looking at sending our young players on loan so as to get enough playtime and first team experience to thereafter come back better than before, Bwana said when contacted by futaa.com

According to Bwana, Western Stima, KCB and National Super League (NSL) sides Nairobi Stima and Mahakama FC have shown interest in the youngster.

Thank you chair again for extending BW contract & again thank you for bringing Baba to this family of the mighty k’ ogalo. the signing was long overdue yaani central midfielder. we are now set but my worry is, 400,000 kshs for kenga loan deal. Or you guys have recovered the Tssumbeko charity on this one. we don’t hear those who were associated with the transfer saga talk about it any more.can GB come clean on this issue.

Ooh Laa la.!”THE NEXT BIG THING..ELECTIONS..ELECTIONS”

Now that players recruitment and contract extension for BW is done with; let the “Interim” EC get down to the real business of the pending ELECTIONS before the deadline of 30th Jan 2014 expires. This will be the best option for Gor Mahia fraternity to kick off the season majestically and as a unified club.

FREE , OPEN & FAIR ELECTIONS ENTAILS THAT THE EC MUST..

    1. Let the independent electoral body set the elections day / date, venue and the procedure without any external interference from the “interim” office.

    2. Electoral process MUST be by secret ballot. And the independent electoral body must be the custodian of all ballot material. The office holders should cease to conduct any official business within 48 hours to the election day.

    3. The independent body should provide a competitive and non-partisan environment to all aspirant by ensuring that the current membership registry records is availed to all the stakeholders for verification and validation of the entries prior to the election day.

    4. Provide a complete list of all the aspiring candidates inclusive of their CV’s and any background info with supporting documents that will help eligible members to scrutinize and make an informed decision.

MAY THE BEST CANDIDATE WIN AND WE MOVE ON “PAMOJA”.

Had we been allowed to campaign in this blog I would have lobbied the voters to go for AR ang GB (though he said he wouldn’t vie) as the only officials to retain their seats.

@ Dan O nobody has/can refuse u 2 campaign 4 whomever is ua preferred candidate(s). However its always better 2 say why u prefer so & so.
As articulated by OT it would be gud if some basics were covered but will it happen given that the tentative date is 19Jan & venue Bomas. Election seems entirely EC driven. I particularly cry out 4 an SGM b4 the polls 2 reduce elective the posts 2 a max of 6-Chair,SG,Treasurer & their deputies & the incorporation of a secretariat, appointment of independent….

@ Dan Original I will not shy off from seconding your proposal especially when it is an open fact that this site is the most active platform of engagement with issue’s pertaining to K’Ogalo. MY VOTE GOES TO AR (Chair) & GB(Secretary General). The rest is part of the bloated office which is good for nothing.

Whoever wanted to knw wht Rachier hs done 4 Gor, this is ua answer.Use such benchmarks to judge his suitability or lack of. My concern is how this EC cn b trimmed to a reasonable size. Who cn do it since we all knw they cannot initiate it themselves
Ideally it shd be done by members or shareholders
Does paying 500/= confer upon us the mandate to overhaul the constitution? Who is to put the structures some of us av bn lobbying 4 in place since the chairman cannot unilaterally do it? I remain praying 4 answers!!!

I am impressed by the latest development of giving long term contracts to both players and technical bench. this creates more confidence and mskes them settle and work.
