Additional reporting from the Nation

Gor Mahia attacking trio of Jacques Tuyisenge, Geoffrey Walusimbi and Kenneth Muguna could be set for moves to Europe.

Nairobi News understands the players are interesting former Gor Mahia coach Jose Ferreira aka Ze Maria who currently manages Albanian second division club FK Tirana.

Having already suffered an embarrassing exit from the Europa League courtesy of an aggregate 5-0 loss to Maccabi Tel Aviv in the opening round, Ze Maria is keen to bolster the squad and mastermind an instant promotion to the top flight.

And he has earmarked the trio, alongside Ugandan star forward Yunus Ssentamu, as the men to execute the task.

NEW SIGNING

Former AS Vita forward Ssentamu, who competed for the Cranes at the 2017 Africa Nations Cup in Gabon, has already been signed by the club.

Indeed a senior Tirana official is said to be in Nairobi with view of opening negotiations with the 15-time Kenyan champions who recently narrowly lost 1-2 to EPL club Everton in a high profile friendly.

“It is possible to do a deal for Tuyisenge. Either now or at the end of the season because he will be a free agent anyway. Muguna is tricky considering the duration of his contract, while Walusimbi and probably Musa (Mohammed) are options,” our source explained.

Should a deal for either go through, they will join James Situma and Francis Kahata as the other Kenyan-based players to have featured for Tirana.

Incidentally, these two had their stay at the club cut short following a contractual stand-off.

  • Let’s spare a thought a prayer and a coin for Omuga. Dawo & Co. won GMFC its highest ever accolade! I urge EC to put our aging legends starting with the class of ’87 especially those who dutifully served our beloved club for maybe +5 years on the NHIF cover to take care of medical emergencies. With proper structures in place,2nd division Tirana & their coach Ze Maria cannot poach players from K’Ogalo. GMFC built Ze Maria’s profile, why does’nt he take his projects Thiago to Tirana, he never identified any talent while @ GMFC yet now he’s at the forefront poaching players at this crucial stage. Not all gloom though the 4m goal drought problem can go. Sadly, only Kagere features in the top 15 KPL goalscorers with more the a mere 3 goals, problem iko hapa! Walusimbi & Muguna take heed of admin’s advice hiyo Tirana is a big risk uliza Kagere, Kahata and “unlucky” Ze Maria may not last long there. EC REMEMBER FOOTBALL IS ABOUT WINNING TITLES EVERYTHING REVOLVES ON WINNING TITLES.

  • Message from 22231 M-Changa Peter Dawo Medical fund amount collected so far 23180 after sending my contribution. This is a good app since it updates/gives the total collected. I had also wondered whether the target had been reached? I hear you can even contribute 10bob. Let’s help out our legend, at times like these one feels the pain of Ze Maria not paying GMFC kes.500k for one month’s notice. Every shilling squandered is of great value to the club in one way or another. Admin please speedily give the account number in addition to the paybill number.

  • It will be good for them in terms of career progression. But do we have adequate cover for their positions. Can Boniface Omondi fit Walusimbi’s shoes? Wendo and Kahata struggled when playing together last season, can Migi, Philemon and Mbugua cover Muguna’s box to box role? Tuyisenge is the only one I am sure can be easily replaced by Timo or Berry or Maloba!!!

Ze Maria should now go and get Thiago Lima Silva instead.

Ze Maria should seriously negotiate for MIG 7. That old Russian fighter jet needs to re-ignite his football career. Staying in Gor Mahia longer will not help matters for him. Otherwise, hands off Walusimbi, Muguna and Musa.

  • we should have got a striker from a west African club age bracket 27-30 similar to Laffor as they wont mind playing in such a great club and would also not stress us with going to Europe

  • let the mentioned players follow their hearts but carry their brains along. They have a living answer to their enquiries in the squad(kahata), Gor will remain and it might as well be a blessing in disguise for replacing the misfiring striker.

  • I will make my contribution to legend Dawo this week however ………..hehehe, fk tirana career progression ?? ask meddie, kahata and situma about their unpaid salaries and court wrangles to date. This club does not respect black players.

Omera, this tiki taka obsessed coach can as well take the entire club to tirana after all, they will all be back to the club sooner than they thought !

Ze Maria comes from Brazil. There are several Brazilian players he can take with him to Albania instead.

  • Ze Maria you left so remain gone in peace ibaro wiwa gi nonsense kae ati poaching GM players. Go sign Thiago Da Lima who you brought here to eat free salary doing nothing. We can only allow you to take Mugiraneza for a fee, on the other hand someone asked a very vital question, with 3 years left on his contract with GM, how much was Amos Nondi sold for to Kolkheti Poti FC?
