Rama is back from trials

Kenyan international striker Rama Salim resumed training with his Tusker Premier League [TPL] side Gor Mahia on Monday 7 January after a two week trial in United Arab Emirates [UAE] and Finland.
Even though, the diminutive striker is currently committed at Gor, he did not ruled out a switch to Europe.
Foreign move
Salim, who was a revelation at Gor in the 2012 season helping the club to win a double [FKF/President’s Cup and Top 8 Cup] and missed the TPL title by a whisker, is confident of winning more trophies this season.
-There is not much to say but i am glad for the experience and hopefully one day a successful deal will come up.
-My mission at the moment is to help Gor Mahia achieve more success this season, said Salim to the club’s official website.
Gor, Kenya’s representatives in this year’s CAF Confederations Cup, commenced their preseason training on Thursday 3 January at the Nairobi City Stadium.
Welcome back Messi.
The team is taking shape now, with Logarusic also confirming he’ll be back through his interviews and opinions on new potential signings. Can’t wait for the season to begin.
We gladly welcome back Salim.
messi welcome to 2013 hope you have more energy to take us through a succesful year. geat me serenkuma
Mine is a concern…we have under a month before we set the ball rolling. We haven’t rily been active on the pitch in terms of pre-season preparations unlike our closest challengers Tusker, who i presume will hit the ground running from Day 1 judging from their ventures in Tanzania.
Lets hope when the team eventually settles and gets down to serious business, they will produce the desired results!
Pod Antie . .. . kare pod in tie? iga manyien 2013
Happy New Year all.
One of my concerns with our recruitment is that we have Njuguna, Akumu, Moses Otieno and now we are looking at Olando and some say Cheche should also come and yet all are defensive midfielders. Anguyo was also one and now that we have brought in central defenders Otieno and Emuge and Owino has matured, we may also have Anguyo joining the list of defensive midfielders. Who will be our attacking midfielders?
Harammbee Stars always have good defenders and defensive midfielders but their record should tell us how far we can go and how much we can achieve without attackers in the midfield.
On our pre-season, i think the rest the players have had is most important. Our boys played the most games last season and needed good rest. My only worry is with our Harammbee Stars guys. We closed shop and they headed to CECAFA / CHAN and then it was Burundi and i don’t think they have rested well. Nigeria is also a month away and Harammbee will again disrupt our plans.
Have a rewarding year all Green Army members.
@Fred, we should not worry about Tusker not resting. It could come to haunt them. Note that the human body cannot or should not take 12 months of beating in the field. That’s why all leagues take a rest and the established players go winding off in the golf courses since they can afford. For our players they can keep fit by playing in the estate tournaments but take care of the injuries. Remember Loga used to give the players time off even when facing Ingwe.
All I can do is to urge the TB/EC to recruit Alphie (i.e. Crispin Olando) before another team snaps him up. I know we agreed that as fans we keep of the issue of recruitment but I can’t resist to comment on this. The issue of Felixhino, Ballotieno, Hugo and the rest is still fresh on my mind on how the EC and fans can get it wrong when it comes to player recruitment. The only thing is that us fans we love the team but have limited technical expertise, though we think we know
Welcome back Rama Salim. It’s nice to have you back. If we can sign Black Berry, then I can’t wait to see the combination of Rama, Ssurunkuma, BB, Kevo14. Dont forget the now matured David Owino, Anguyo and the list is endless.
As for training, don’t be worried since we have a good physical fitness trainer who had mentioned earlier he only needs about 10 days with the players to put them to shape…
I agree that too much work-out could turn round to haunt the brewers as the season begins. Remember last season how many injuries we had at the beginning. I think we are on course, we will be right at the right time.
Can we have some clear information on Black Berry, where is he, what is he doing and are we really talking to him?
Michezo africa indicates that BB is joining City Stars for initial period of 6 months. His mind is not in playing here but to be fit again then fly out.
Ooh Laa la!! “WELCOME BACK WANA-K’OGALO TO SEASON 2013”
Happy new year to all the “GREEN ARMY” bloggers and i do welcome back all of you to yet another season of “FOOTBALL MADE IN “TOK-KOMWANDA”. I cant wait any-more to read all your grapevine “rumor-mongering”, analysis based on old-school “technical skills” and of cause the usual optimistic blog-post scriptures according to “gospel” in the book of “Apostle mwakio”.
MAY WE HAVE A WONDERFUL SEASON DEVOID OF HOOLIGANISM.
Taylor: BB is quoted saying we the fans and the pressure from our expectations is the reason he does not want 2 play 4 GM @ the moment.
