FKL Cup winners Gor Mahia, who will represent the country in the CAF Confederations cup tournament next year are set to increase players’ salaries in a bid to hold on to their best players.
Hefty pay
The club’s Secretary General Mr. George Bwana told futaa.com that the management will review the players’ salaries so that they earn a heftier package to reflect their status starting next season in a bid to stop them from moving elsewhere.
-We are going to review the players’ salaries and effect the same from next season since we are going to play continental football and we don’t want just to keep our best players, we also want to satisfy them, he said.
Masika’s stunner
The Gor Mahia camp was recently hit with the rocking news that their defensive stalwart Eric Masika was leaving for their rivals AFC Leopards and with Masika’s saga yet to end, the club seems to be moving to cut out any further similar occurences.
Thats good! We dont want our players to be paid peanuts to avoid exodus of our best players!
EC pls do ur best to bring in B Mugallia and dont let Ochomo and Lavatsa leave. Anyway congrats 4 the good work, keep it up. We cant continue loosing our best . Get a good replacement 4 Masika. GM should be moulding players for European clubs not local competitors. Wish u the best in efforts to bring in MUGALLIA.
we heard rumours of masika moving to efusi from septemberand the club should havee tied all the loose ends by november.we have always clled for structures in the club but unfortunately this call has been drowned by euphoria and myopic see no evil detractors.PLAYERS SHOULD BE PAID WAGES NOT SALARIES AS WE HAVE NOW.THE WAGES SHOULD BE BASED ON WEEKLY PERFOMANCE,COUPLED WITH A REASONABLE BONUS.EACH PROMISING PLAYER SHOULD BE TIED DOWN WITH AT LEAST A 3 YEAR CONTRACT WHOSE EXTENSION THE CLUB SHOULD WORK ON BY THE END OF THE SECOND YEAR.THATS WHAT THE LIKES OF BARCA DO.I REPEAT HERE THAT EVEN IF WE BUY THE WHOLE OF SOFAPAKA AND TUSKER AND EVEN PUT MOURINHO AS THE COACH THEN WE WILL HAVE SHORT TERM RESULTS AND END UP LATER WITH AGEING MERCENARIES.BERNARD ZGOLL SHOWED THE NEED FOR YOUTH SOCCER,BARCA HAVE SHOWN THAT THE ACADEMY IS THE WAY TO GO.MY OPINION IS WE SOURCE FOR FUNDS AND BUILD ONE AS A WAY TO PERPETUAL PROSPERITY.WHAT SHOCKS ME IS THAT MOST OF US HAVE THIS INFORMATION ON THEIR FINGERTIPS BUT CHOOSE TO IGNORE IT ONLY TO MOURN LATER ASKING WHERE WE WENT WRONG.
Id wish to concur by the sentiments raised my kogallo damu however i would request the club management to go for grassroots players who knows what they want and come from. During the tour lets sport the best and bring on instead of going for the recycled players who after the end of season would want to move. According to the kogallo history we always brings up the stars we need to beefup our striking force with the unknown with the likes of blackberry who emerged from nowhere tade
good move.We must try our best and retain Ochomo.the earlier you release Lavatsa to AFC the better for us coz we will have the time and focus to mould another player whose heart is in Gor Mahia eg Mugalia.whatever you do don’t tie down players whose hearts are elsewhere.
wuonpap thats what we tried here kwa blogs some told us off? now wr reaping what we saw .members like ten of us here said it before we told patient .hope new office hv learned kitu here sasa .bwana hope u spare ur time to read what kogallo fans write on the blogs here no time fr meeting ITY nowdays bro u get our feeling direct dnt let more players dnt let more players to go keep ochomo and others put pen to paper we cant be peoples scouts wametuzoe.
My own assessment is that Lavatsa is over rated. Ama?
I AGREE WITH U MUKHOVERO.
