Interesting interview of a Gor Mahia fan from Norway

A Gor Mahia fan from Norway gives an interview in fluent Dholuo more fluent than half the Luos in Nairobi. The interview occurred when Gor Mahia were arriving at JKIA from Gabon and fans were there to meet the team.

For those who do not understand Dholuo

George Bwana: I am leaving now but you know that you are now a Gor Mahia supporter

Fan: Me I have been a Gor Mahia supporter since 1965. (Perhaps he meant the predecessors of Gor Mahia)

George Bwana: So you should never leave Gor Mahia

Fan: I can never stop supporting Gor Mahia <Laughter>

Interviewer : What is your name

Fan:My name is Owad gi Adhiambo Ondiegi (Adhiambo’s sibling). That is my name in Kenya

Interviewer :Are you Kenyan ?

Fan:I am not Kenyan. I am Norwegian

Interviewer : What are you doing in Kenya ?

Fan: I a visit Kenya often with a Church called FKFK

Interviewer : Are you a football fan

Fan: I am and I feel compelled to support Gor Mahia because they are the ones who play football very well

Interviewer : So this is the team you like

Fan: Yes I am a big supporter of Gor Mahia even though I am not good at playing football

Interviewer :: How did you learn Dholuo

Fan:I was born here

Interviewer : How long have you lived in Kenya

Fan:Very Many years. Twenty  something

Interviewer : Do you know AFC Leopards

Fan: Yes I know about AFC Leopards but Gor Mahia are the good team
