Gor Mahia set to unveil new Health Insurance sponsor

This is part of K’Ogalo’s efforts to get a replacement for shirt sponsors Tuzo, who have confirmed that they will not renew sponsorship this season

Kenyan Premier League champions Gor Mahia will in the next ten days unveil a new sponsor who will provide the players and technical bench members with a lucrative health insurance cover.

This is part of the club’s effort to get a replacement for shirt sponsors Tuzo, who have indicated that they will pull out of sponsoring the club next month.

According to a source in the club, negotiations with the insurance health provider are complete and are just awaiting the signing of the deal.

“It will be one of the best insurance covers for a local club and we are happy that this will go along way to give our players the best,” the source told Goal.

The source further revealed that they are not worried by the Tuzo pull-out as a number of sponsors are lining up to come on board. “We have already began negotiations with some sponsors and remain confident they will come over when we need them.”

All the same our weakness remains the GOONS amongst us. Gor as a brand is SO BIG that we can easily get a sponsor like ‘Emirates’ or “Samsung’ but on condition that the negative sideshows which are the norm are curtailed. Let the EC mone on with the Diamond Trust initiative and we will be be able to at least reduce the leaks from the gates.

    Congrats for the Machakos win

Game no.5 & things r looking up.Though its still early days postive signs r emerging from the TB & team.
Though the health insurance is welcome & in order EC must move quickly 2 secure the financIal stability in paying salaries/bonuses of TB/players. Health cover does’nt pay rent/feed the players & their families.
Move fast AR,lack of sponsorship was’nt an issue when u sought re-election so just resolve it without much ado. Jakom, don’t derail the team’s momentum due 2 ua lack of foresight.

@oduor12, we need to appreciate every effort that is being put in place by the office. Last time you were the one that was making lots of noise of lack of insurance cover for players. You are indeed very ungrateful and what do you really want? How come you never contested for any position in the office. Stop being a turncoat!!!!!

@ Mwakio P of late you’ve become rather quick on draw unlike the Mwakio of old who responses were more insightful. Let me expound-
1.Yes I made what you call a lot of noise about players’ insurance cover but @ that time we’d a sponsor paying players’ salaries. I REPEAT 2 U THE OBIVOUS FACT HEALTH COVER CAN’T PAY RENT/BUY FOOD/SCHOOL FEES ETC ETC. BUT WITH A GOOD SALARY PLAYERS & TB CAN EVEN GET A HEATH COVER BY THEMSELVES. ITS SIMPLE LOGIC WHERE THE PRIORITY LIES.

objectively & you will note that I did appreciate the effort of the EC but just pointed out the urgency/ priority of securing the stability of the players/TB salaries. If that was’nt good enough 4 u,then pole comrade.
    3. In last but one election u were interested in the SG position chickened out & never gave a reason. That has never stopped u from blogging. U & i have both on this very site been encouraged 2 stand 4 office, on my part I’ve stated am not ready but u’ve always been silent perhaps…

wishing 4 more goading but I remind u of the saying “if wishes were horses even beggars would ride”. So I turn the very same question 2 u. Why have U have never contested any office 2 implement your ideas/blue print, that I admit r good & r similar 2 my thoughts!!!
    3. I noted that u react strongly whenever AR is NOT PRAISED but r ready 2 disparage the Kilos & co. Well note that fish rots from the top & AR has been on top for 6/8 years now.
That’s my view just like you have your view.

@Oduor, you have always been negative in all your postings. I do not understand whom you wanted to take leadership at the club. It is no longer an election time now. Let us all support team to succeed but not plantings seeds of discord at all time. If you have any solution, please come forward and approach office with the intended solution. Drop the negative energy and let yes all support the team.

  • Guys, lets not concentrate too much on sideshows, for sure TUZO did well with us, and now that they are pulling out, be sure that we are in a better position to secure even more lucrative deals than that of TUZO, however, without saying much, we got to respect the outgoing sponsor, and more, respect the INCOMING SPONSORS!
Oduor 12, Health Insurance is among the sponsorships to be sealed( let us read carefully, most likely there won’t be one sponsor on board.

With all due respect @ODUOR12, I think sometimes you go overboard with your comments. I do not want to imagine that the current EC are too naive to the point of forgetting to look for TUZO replacement. Something is definitely cooking and until it is a done deal, they will not let it out. I therefore plead that we focus our energies on giving unconditional support to the team and let EC do what we elected them to do. If they fail, we shall ask them to account in 2 years time. We spent the better part of last year lamenting about the EC. Elections were done hardly one month ago and here we are again complaining. Let us restrain ourselves. Everyone means well for Kogallo.

On the health insurance thats excellent a good job by the ec spornsors will come….oduori na mwakio though i think oduor12 you are being petty you need to be abit more positive umepewa shukuru kwanza yes the spornsorship wont be there effective 1/4/2014 dont kill mwakio for that plans are underway though personally i still want the sacco to be developed we have the numbers lets exploit that look at 2nk sacco society, muramati sacco ,unaitas you know learn from these existing small saccos and develop a huge company motivated by love for football.

@Dan your speaking a bout the Goons.did you go to Machakos,if yes they realy understand how to deal with the crowd.you were obtaining your tickets some 20km way from the stadia,if you failed to secure one another desk was set some few metres away from the pitch and they were planty.look at the Police strength, and how they were organised.if you were not keen enough did you know even the GSU were calledin but later in the evening.this is the kind of security set up you need to control crowd no rocket science.Hoologanism is always there but it is the responsibility of the peace makers to ensure life is preserve and property protected. only a mad man would have deared to misbehave.you now know!!!!
