Gor Mahia Under 19 side beat Bondo United by a solitary goal in a friendly match played at the Bondo University Grounds on Friday afternoon.
The lone goal was scored by Amos Nondi at the stroke of the half hour mark.
Speaking after the match, the team’s Head Coach Charles Korea Omondi lauded the players saying they played well.
-It was a very good match and I was impressed with the performance of the team. This is definitely a team that should be maintained for the future, Omondi told futaa.com.
The match was organised to commemorate the life of Kenya’s first Vice President, Jaramogi Oginga Odinga.
Starting XI: Gradus Ochieng (GK), Simon Pierra, Edward Odongo, Collins Omondi, Kevin Oduor, Joseph Kariuki, Amos Nondi, Brian Chege (CPT), Herbert Kopany, Evans Amimo and Kevin Kwasila.
Subs: Ezekiel Onyango, Pascal Ogweno, Fredrick Otieno, Kennedy Ochieng, Cliff Nyakeya, Colonel Owino and Stephen Onyango.
Si mbaya, wote ni watoo wetu. I did’nt know Herbert Kopany is the captain for under 19, he also features the
natinal.
Very , very good to see we are developing the youth structures. Let us keep the tempo.
However, am very sad to hear that Michael olunga has joined thika united……….this is a player who has openly admitted his love for kogallo, even in public, yet nobody has been keen to give him a try at this club. He is the best under 19 player in Kenya at the moment.
EC please monitor this player in the league in 2014.
@Jakoyo, that is a very good observation. This is a player who admitted his love for Gor while still playing in the airtel school games a year or two ago. That was the time Koops wanted to recruit him for Ingwe. He could have been brought in to play alongside BB and Danny and therefore giving us more options forward. Hope somebody is observing him
i hope the club was represented in the CAF seminar below

Is the Tuzo withdrawing their sponsorship for GM? Read thr link below

Yes it seems like the deal is in trouble & I wonder why AR is being so casual.
AR b more transparent, pro-active & engage Tuzo/other potential sponsors b4 the deal lapses.
With the trend of gate collections mismanagement & the negative side effects of the “human waste” this is really sad news 4 K’galo.
Let EC rally members so that this great club builds on the gains made so far.
GM cannot regress.
LET’S IMPLEMENT THE 5BOB/DAY MEMBERSHIP, FILL THE STADIUM & PAY MATCH TICKETS 4 ALL HOME GAMES.

@ODUOR12 i am also surprised by AR’s lacksaidal response. This is how we lost Mosoti and Ivo. With one month to go we should be negotiating an improved sponsorship and not waiting for the sponsor to contact us. At this rate we can have a deep in form or exodus of players/TB. Though it’s still a romour it needs to be investigated, I also wonder why a sponsor will go for a one-year as opposed to a longer contract. Before we peculate alot let’s wait for the new EC to show us the way forward. I hope potential sponsors out there are listening e.g. Daima
