The 2013 second best player of the year, moved to Gor at beginning of the season in a six month deal and the agreement will be ending on Wednesday

Kenya Premier League side Bandari have told Gor Mahia that they should not expect the loan deal for winger Shabaan kenga to be extended.

The 2013 second best player of the year, moved to Gor at beginning of the season in a six month loan deal worth Sh200, 000 and the agreement will be ending on Wednesday. “We will not agree to extend the deal,” Bandari’s technical director Edward Oduor told Goal.

“We still need the player and his game against Tusker FC on Wednesday will be his last in a Gor Mahia jersey. After that he will be back with us.

“We have had some weakness in the striking department and we need Kenga back to help us. We are also looking to add a few more players in the team especially strikers. Gor Mahia has not been utilizing him well and it is only fair for us to take him back and give him play time.”

However, Gor is still keen to keep the player with Secretary General Chris Omondi saying they are in talks with the dockers.

“The player himself is keen on continuing his stay here. We are talking to Bandari but they are still playing hard ball. We hope to reach an agreement because he is a player we still need.”

Omondi also revealed that they are in talks with Rama Salim and Erick Ochieng’, both whose contracts are ending this month. However, they will have to fight off with Tanzanian giants Simba SC, who are chasing after Rama.

Atudo would like to play for Kogalo before retiring

The big Tusker defender reveals to Goal that he has high regards for K’Ogalo and would want to don the green uniform before he retires from active play

Tusker defender Jockins Atudo has revealed that he would one day want to play for Kenyan Premier League champions Gor Mahia.

The big defender says he admires K’Ogalo and would want to don the green uniform before he retires from active play.

“Gor Mahia is a team I admire a lot. The fans are passionate something that is very motivating to every player on the pitch. It is a team every player would like to play for and I am no exception. I believe that at the right time, this will become a reality,” Atudo told Goal.

Atudo admitted that Gor Mahia officials approached him before he returned to Tusker at the beginning of this season but insists ‘that was not the right time to join Gor Mahia.’

Turning to Wednesday’s KPL Top-8 match against Gor Mahia, the Harambee Stars defender believes they have what it takes to go through.

“We are not scared of our opponents or their fans. We are used to playing under more hostile conditions. We are too experienced to allow for the away support to get to us.”

Let’s wish the team well in the next two tough encounters. On Kenga, as much as we would like him to stay let’s be rational since he can still join us even if he rejoins Bandari and hs contract lapses. My only worry is for the player to miss out on possibility of winning trophies. Remember what happened to Rama last year when he left only for Gor to win the TPL trophy which painfully eluded him the previous year.

Otherwise I believe we have the arsenal to complete the job(s)

  • what I can advice Kenga is 2 stay at gor so as to win trophys that can make his CV look good including playing for E.A giants Gor Mahia K’ogalo of E.A. What he shud know that he is a gud player & not a big player as he may think.
With Atudo he has raelized that he is a big player but since he has not featured in Gor jersy nobody thinks that he is a top player .But he has always been a top player since he came from Sony.
karibu nyumbani.we will desist from colling u names bcos u’ve realised that Gor is b

  • Atudo is playing mind games ahead of Wednesday. Do not fall for his mind games. Why is he talking now?

Meanwhile, the decision to play for Gor or Bandari is not for Kenga. It is a loan deal so the officials will decide. He has very little say on this since he is still under contract with Bandari so don’t rush to blame him if he is recalled back by Bandari.

I can imagine negotiations being led by one Chris Omondi. It can only go one way.

Wapi Gatuzo nowdays, most players who leave Gor always dont do well outside, but Gor should concentrate on recruiting nice players on time. We are the champions!!
