Gor Mahia fined Ksh 906,000
Gor Mahia has been fined for unruly fan behaviour by the IDCC
Additional reporting from the Nation
League champions Gor Mahia have been fined Sh300,000 by the Kenya Premier League’s Independent Disciplinary and Complaints Committee (IDCC) after it found K’Ogalo supporters guilty of behaving in an unruly manner, destroying property, and injuring persons during a SportPesa Premier League match versus KCB at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos County on January 27 this year.
Separately, the IDCC has also slapped the league champions with a Sh306,000 penalty in relation to the incident during the match that KCB won by a solitary goal.
This amount will be channelled towards repairing the damage caused by chaotic scenes.
Sh106,000 of that amount is payable to Machakos County Government to repair two damaged ambulances and the perimeter fence at the stadium.
The remaining amount will be paid to KCB to repair its team bus.
Aduda: Tuyisenge is staying
Gor Mahia CEO Omondi Aduda has rubbished reports that striker Jacque Tuyisenge is soon leaving the club. Aduda says the Rwandese striker is still under contract.
“Tuyisenge is under contract with Gor Mahia until the year 2020 and those reports, for now, are not factual. He is our player and any club be it Simba or AS Vita who want to sign him have to talk to us before talking to the player,” Aduda told Goal.com in an interview.
Aduda further warned Simba of Tanzania not to engage in underhanded player tappping.
“Fifa rules are very clear on how the player transfer business should be conducted. The club that wants to sign a player from another club has to approach the parent club well before making a move to the player himself.
“If any club will illegally approach our players without our permission, then be sure that we will take them to Fifa.
Aduda concluded that the club had a good chance of extending Tuyisenge’s stay.
“Talk about another player and not Tuyisenge. I am pretty sure that he loves K’Ogalo and he will want to stay even for another season with us.
Gor mahia fc now reaping from the negative energy branch.one of its key benefit-fine.Any club in need of negative energy fans should come at gor mahia offices. For every fan you take, gor will you 50/=an equivalent of what they pay in entrance to our matches. If you take jakoyo, gor player, ingo and the likes,You get 100/=.This is not withstanding the fact that they are taken on the bosman.AFC leopards will be given priority.Hurry, hurry mathare and kariobangi shark. When Jesus did his last prayer,He said,”Bwana kama yuaweza niondolee hiki kikombe cha mateso.Lakini hata hivyo mapenzi yako yatimizwe.
Botswana referee Joshua Bondo has been appointed to officiate the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup tie pitting Gor Mahia against Moroccan side RS Berkane set for Sunday at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.
Bondo was at the centre in Black Stars of Ghana’s 1-0 win over Harambee Stars in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) final group game in March.
The 41-year-old Bondo will be assisted by Mozambican Arsenio Chadreque Marengula and Souru Phatsoane from Lesotho, who will serve in the game as first and second assistant referees respectively.
Good omen …We are winning this game
I will neither empathize nor sympathize with the club for being fined.
We are repeat offenders for pitch invasion and acts of hooliganism.Let us not blame the authorities that be for a predicament we brought unto ourselves.
The EC has severally been advised on how to handle these hooligans but nothing has been done so many years on.
What is the big deal in beefing up security and putting people in places around the stadium to handle such cases?can’t we borrow a leaf from what we watch everyday from Europe??how much does it cost to sensitize the fans against pitch invasion and acts of lawlessness?
We are our own worst enemies and we deserve what we get…and what we stand to lose going forward.
It’s up to the EC and we as fans to put checks and balances to ensure that we stay on the right side of the football “law” to avoid further sanctions!!
Whatever has happened has happened , what matters is what lessons we learn from it and lovers of Gor Mahia will agree with me that hooliganism at stadiums was something that was on a downward trend and in those times we heard little or nothing from IDCC , but it is on the resurgence once again , and ofcourse when it does we will hear from IDCC and it is escapist to start comparing our punishment with that of Afc as if the situation would be any better if the punishment was exactly the same .
Personally am all for all kinds of hooliganism being punished and the perpetrators arrested and jailed, unfortunately for all genuine forward thinking Gor adherents , it is our players who eventually bare the brunt for the actions of a tiny minority and before anybody runs in with excuses of injustices by the referees , havent we been punished for offences commited in CafCc in matches we were winning and pitch invasions in matches we had already won .
Even where rightly aggrieved , a parent disciplines for correctional reasons but this should never go to the extent of causing grievous injuries that again forces you to rush the same to the hospital at enormous costs to you and your family .
Otherwise while hopping and wishing this brainlessness will stop , my heart goes out to the players and the well meaning fans , hoping today and sunday will bring better tidings and hooligan free days .
@Teddy i abhor and illegal or unbecoming characteristics from anyone wearing a GM jersey. Still i don’t find it fair for IDCC to use our beloved club as a Yardstick for clamping down on anything wrong in KPL. I mean when others like ingwe do it then the act is muted both on mainstream media and social media platforms. Eventually a low key fine is meted out on them without threats of points docking. Same situation with us then we make national headlines like today and end up trending negatively for a week. Even in Law we advocate for Commensuracy of Crime to punishment. It should be so in any similar situations.
Aduda those are the exact same line by line statements you issued when rumuors of exit of Messrs Meddie Kagere and Godfrey Walusimbi was eminent. Well one was poached by Kaizer Chiefs and instead of reporting to Fifa you settled the matter discreetly so spare us those right channel legal lingua and start contract renewal discussions with Tuyisenge right Now when teams are drooling for his signature with offers that No Sane Footballer would pass his love for GM Notwithstanding…On Referee Joshua Bondo, well this guy sides with the underdog anytime case in point being kenya vs ghana where he tried all including disallowing Andre Ayew clean goal but we were too heavy to carry. Let’s hope the same happens on Sunday. Gor Mahia is ranked 20th best team in Africa by CAF as per yesterday while RS Berkane is number 18. Zamalek is 16 while Simba SC although in Champions League and buying everyone and making all noises is number 22

Big team. Bigger problems

This is shameful and disheartening. Who are these so called fans who are so costly to the Club? They are pretenders and demonstrators of the highest level of falsehood of love to the Club. It beats all logic that an adult should desire to be policed like a child who may not know the consequences of their actions. They are such a liability than assets. Every coin that comes into the club is hard earned and should be used for what matters and not fines. Recently we had go slows, why didn’t they storm the office with big bags of the money to alleviate the situation? Instead they are now sitting on the fence watching with false innocence. On education, I had one time suggested that before any high stake match is played especially where Gor is involved, education through the speakers should be loud and clear as much as others may find it embarrassing. Desperate things require desperate action.
Personally am proud of this fines….the more they come the better. Infact, i think they should get bigger……..have you ever heard of sofapaka, tusker, nzoia sugar or even our neighbours azam,KCCA or APR being fined for crowd trouble ? No, because they dont have the fanbase. But big clubs like zamalek, gor, etoile du sahel , juventus and TP Mazembe have to deal with this everyday. The difference is the ‘how’.
So the debate SHOULD therefore not be whether it is a bad thing or size of the fine or which hooligans have done it, the debate should be how are we prepared to deal with it today, tomorrow and into the future because we are a big club and will always expect big things. I am therefore yet to see a blueprint from anyone which outlines how to deal with the issue other than the usual sighting of ambulances, police and stewards.
Do we ever learn?? No. On the same note Gor pays very heavily for security to the Govt on those said matches. What do they do? Do they make any arrests? Do they only bring 10 free policemen to watch the matches? Where are those ant riot police machines that we saw before the infamous handshake? A very qualified lawyer like AR should look into this. We want the policeman to do what Gor pays them to do. Even if the anti riot police vehicles come. Or they are waiting to use them on kibera and Kondele in 2020? The buck stops with the people we pay for security. Has The stupid IDAC asked them what they do when these infamous acts occur?
Admin where is my comment? Umeanza tena
@Jasego , Whatever you are saying is emotionally right but factually wrong .
We have been on this path before and there is absolutely nobody , absolutely no Gor fan who is unaware of what this set of behaviour has caused the club before and there is again non who is unaware of what similar actions will cause in the future , the question is why do we still go ahead and do the same and secondly , would our situation be any better if Afc was given similar punishment and similar coverage in the media ? , ofcourse not .
For that not to happen , just stop being a damn hooligan , but you cannot be a hooligan and then be part of a conversation on what punishment should be metted out to yourself .
Lets just do the right thing and we will never hear from IDCC or CafCc disciplinary bodies and my parting shot to this , is the question that , Did our destruction of properties in Machakos change the defeat we suffered against KCB ? , and did the defeat stop us from now being on top of the log with games in hand ? , all that it did was to deny us the moneys that would have been put to more worthwhile causes .
Lets direct our missiles to the cause and not to the consequences , CHOICES (Hooliganism)HAVE CONSEQUENCES (IDCC).
I cannot see my comments, is something the matter?
@midigocollins – KPL has to buy another cup. How come when Gor was in the mid table, these guyz had not motivation to make such decision. Their sitting allowance is covered
Sony 1 Gor 1
Sony 2 Gor 1.
Leo ni kubaya
2:2 Mustafa with the equalizer
Heheheee…@ Baba Travis the player Mustapha is not appearing anywhere in today’s team sheet. It is Sammy Onyango. And we are ahead 3-2 courtesy of a spot kick penalty. … More to follow.
Sony 2 Gor 3 Kipkirui
Sony keeper gets his marching orders..Agwanda in goal.
Final Score
Sony 2 Gor 3
How much is the new kpl cup?
it is estimated at Kshs 800K sitting allowance for the IDCC is about Ksh 100K TOTAL Kshs 900K
Gor buying the cup all the same. KPL will never luck ideas in this Kenya.
Wow , 4games 4wins in 7days , games coming so thick and fast that even the management of this blog has run out of breath and we have to comment under a Nzoia game that happened centuries ago .
Now that all this is behind us , we turn our focus to Super Sunday at Kasarani and it is my opinion that the team remains Camping in Kisumu rather than rush
back to the hustle and bustle of a chaotic Nairobi city .
Congratulations to the team for a job well done and we pray for more of the same in the days to come-God Bless .
Only big teams are fined; Barca, Juve, Man city, Lvpool,Gormahia, PSG……. so that’s where we belong.
@Hahaaaa….@ jaupembe some of us can’t recognise these players from afar my bro.Call it vision impairment. Thanks for the correction my in law.I hope the bloggers are well updated now.
Haha winning has returned to be a Norm even bloggers are tired for they know it will be a win after win. How i love when Kogalo reaches Autopilot mode and bangs all and sundry in KPL. The IDCC fine was for the new KPL trophy cup since they know the currenr one is going to Gor Mahia trophy laden collection cabinet. Meanwhile am chatting with Coach Oktay Manwar Wuoyi Siro who has vowed to invade the Pitch after our Victory on Sunday all by himself so he has told me to tell fans that this is his right as Head Coach so no fan should follow him into the field to congratulate his players…
its Gor 3 Sony 2 to mitna
Kogalo nyono to dhi… one by one they fall like flies even with the fixture fatigue, where are the pretenders now?
Instead of Machakos, let it be Moi Kisumu..
We have won all the matches. Good omen.
My fear of winning too much is that we may get tired of winning everyday , everything , everywhere , its becoming too much but we must not dare stop , its a nice way to get tired .
Amazing…even after playing catchup our stats are still the best…
We have won the most games-14
Drawn the least-2
Joint with sofapaka,lost the least-3
Scored the most goals-35
Conceded the least-13
Kweli this team is setting standards…we lead others follow!!
