Gor Mahia run riot against All Stars

Gor Mahia ripped Nakuru All Stars to shreds at Nyayo stadium beating them 5-0 in what is the highest score Gor Mahia has recorded in several years in the KPL.
Gor Mahia was always the better side in this encounter. As early as the 7th minute, Ali Abondo had an excellent chance but his shot went directly to the Nakuru All Stars goalkeeper Shady Indimuli for an easy save. Indimuli was at it again, stifling three minutes later, foiling Olunga who found himself with a wide open path to goal but his powerful shot was saved by Indimuli.
Veteran Hillary Echesa came closest for All stars when his well taken free-kick forced boniface Oluoch into a good save in the 12th minute.
Gor Mahia continued to press for a goal with Kagere coming close only to be denied by Indimuli before Collins Okoth hit the post with a diving header. But the stars defence held on , frustrating Gor Mahia and riding their luck. Kagere finally broke the deadlock on the stroke of halftime to put Gor Mahia one goal ahead at halftime.
As the second half started, Gor Mahia maintained their tempo with Abondo coming close, only to be stifled by Indimuli again.
The dam which had held the gushing water for 45 minutes finally broke. Michael Olunga scored the second goal in the 70th minute following good spadework from Abouba Sibomana. Ali Abondo scored the 3rd goal from the penalty spot only two minutes later after Olunga was fouled in the penalty box. . Meddie Kagere scored again in the 78th minute with a superb goal in which he rounded the keeper. Haron Shakava found himself among the goal-scorers for the first time this season when he scored in the 87th minute to seal the score from a corner kick taken by Ali Abondo.
This match will perhaps be remembered for the two goals Kagere scored which were classic. He put on a clinic in how to finish. In a post match interview, he was asked how he managed to score the first goal. He responded: “I saw the goalkeeper was already coming to where I was going to pass so i had to squeeze myself between the two defenders in order to reach the ball first”. Supersport analyst Dan Shikanda described Kagere’s second goal as the best goal he has ever seen.
The last time Gor Mahia won a match by such an emphatic scoreline was against Anse Re-Union whom Gor Mahia beat 5-0 in continental encounter in 2013. As for the local scene, one would have to go back several years to find the last time Gor Mahia won by such a scoreline.
Omera this scoreline you have to go back to 2009.
Kudos to Nutall and the boys…… always going out there and shaming the inept EC.
Just 30 points to go….I see the league being won by 25th match.
Wow! Wow! What a game by the boys. We have to try hard to keep this team for at least 2 seasons and they will leave a mark on the continent. Congrats.
There is nothing between the leopard and the swara now. It is time for the leopard to attack!
@ingo,kwani you are chasing swara in the ligue’while kdf is seeing the cup in sight,by the way afc hav a site where you can encourage my worthy shemko to continue fukusa swara while we in kogalo kill without taking prisoners….kagere wot a goal.
@ingo, Keli is complaining that you don’t attend matches but are vocal on radio jambo

lets talk about teams that matter and leave the pretenders.
this was a game we would have scored like 10 goals…but as it is our goal difference is already so impressive!congrats to the only team that matters in kenya. .the only team that other teams follow!!!
ha ha ha…@oswozo moziek…ati Gor is the only team that other teams in kenya follow??and ati other teams are pretenders?manze siumeweza ingo 10-0.but i agree with you,no other team matters!!!!!
No other team matters? Well why don’t you play Gor Junior every week then?
look at the table
Two KPL Parallel leagues. Gor on it own, and AFC Sofapaka Ulinzi in the Other parallel league or how do you explain the 9 points.
AND NOW WE KNOW WHYA AFC CELEBRATED THE DRAW, THEY COULD HAVE BEEN BEATEN 5 ZERO
Congratulations for winning big. And congratulations for giving the EC additional headache
Sasa Ingo hebe nieleze ndugu yangu, sasa ni nini inakuwasha?
Best start to the league in a very long time. Given that Gor has had the best second leg since at least 2010, feeling good about this year. Will be great to keep it for good for the second time in history. Congrats to our players and technical bench.
The team was nakuru all stars for crying out loud what did u expect
@dizzy…so what??no wonder you have such a name..matches your thinking!!
AAAH!kuweni marafiki ma brothers.supporting or being follower is own decision.
@fred its nice we won even KCB won by 8 goals what I am really worried about is the performance in the continental level. need to reclaim the former glory. but still it was nakuru all stars
That second KAGERE GOAL. wORLD BEST COMPARED TO DENNIS BERGKAMP AGAINST NEWCASTE. sUPERB TO SAY THE LEAST
yep it was surely a master class
taaaamu!! i like the brand of football, hope we maintain the tempo big up the entire gor team
kudos to gor mahia plus i hope we will maintain the tempo to the tape.
Lets join the society in big style/Number and prove that okwasechi……………………………………………….. This is the only way we can prove to our detractors that the club is MARWA
We have always asked for the EC to do things for us to be able to make the best out of our team. We asked for PAYBILL number and we got, we asked for MEMBERSHIP and we got the chase bank deal, we asked for something FMCG and we got BREAD, and now we have the SACCO.
I hope we will make use of all those avenues to make the club self sustainable
Dan Original, stop being philosophical. It starts with you, me and others. Encourage people to go the SACCO way than repeating of what we had asked for blah..blah..blah and now blah..blah..blah.
@Mwakio, By the way I have already registered and I hope most of us have already done the same
Yesterday it was about football. All Stars did their best to resist. But the game is about patience In fact you realize that when Gor was in a hurry to score, they lost so many chances and that was dangerous, because they can easily be frustrated. But when they finally settled down, the game became enjoyable. It is a collective effort and in my observation this was very evident yesterday when Kagere got the first chance and instead tried to loop the ball to Olunga. If these strikers maintain their working relationship on the field and increase the work rate then the goals between them can only increase. Thank you for giving us foot ball that we can talk about. With the EPL coming to an end may I encourage the faithfuls to come to the stadiums and they will begin to appreciate what they have been missing especially when Kogalo is praying.
Beautiful display of football by kogalo. This season will be won with over 70 points and a record number of goals with games to spare. We are simply a class above the rest and as for Kagere all I can say is “What A Goal”…
A very good win for a long time.
The Sacco idea is good but i think being members first then modifying its constitution to benefit GM as a football club follows. I am against casting doubts and watering down the project
