Its off to Naivasha this weekend

Kogalo will be looking to redeem themselves this Sunday when they travel to Naivasha to play Karuturi Sports club at “Old Trafford”. It has been a disastrous performance in the last two outings. However Gor Mahia will have had 10 days to rectify the mistakes. The defence in particular has not looked solid. Perhaps it is the fact that Donald Mosoti, Yusuf Juma and David Owino have never played with each other and are still in the process of building an understanding.

The good news is that Edwin Lavatsa has apparently returned to training and will offer more striking options. Also returning to training this week are Kevin Omondi, Demonde Selenga, Hugo Nzoka , George Midenyo and Kiplagat.

Old Trafford has never been a happy hunting ground for Kogalo. Last year’s visit resulted in a narrow loss. However Kogalo cannot afford yet another loss. They need a morale booster as they prepare for the return leg of the CAF cup.

According to the club, tickets for this Sunday’s encounter will be ksh.300 main stand and ksh.100 russia.Tickets will be sold at Karuturi social hall opposite Karuturi main gate from Friday..Parking is provided next to Cray Fish camp. Now is the time for fans to rally behind the team. This author urges the 12th man to turn up in large numbers and cheer the team during its time of need.

  • Good news to note that most injured players are making their way back. One can notice that almost every player injured is coming back to training. Is it really FEASIBLE that all of them can return at the same time? Are they RUSHING or being rushed back to the pitch? I feel some sort of desperation and may be have been urged to come back. Is there team doc who has assessed their suitability to return? Otherwise it will even be disastrous to bring them back ahead of time. Just observe what happened to RVP in the past when Wenger would rush him back despite all their physical and health facilities. Lavatsa seem to carry a longterm injury but rushes back fast. I hope GM performs better otherwise we will degenerate into despair.

the striking force should work at converting unexepected chances into goals and avoid missing obvious chances as has happened previously. the defence must work at clearing seemingly inevitable goals rather than conceding avoidable goals. the bottom line is that we must avoid mistakes at all costs. all the best at old trafford.

  • I have this feeling that we will bag the three points. All we need to do is to remove the pressure and anxiety from the boys. Having attended several matches involving us and some not involving us I can say that our team is not as bad as we think. We need to convert our chances to goals. Let’s welcome back our players from injury. If my memory serves me right we drew last year both matches

  • NAKURU HERE WE COME

The green army willl on this weekend descend to the lakeside town of Nakuru for another mouthwatering clash with Karuturi Sports at the ‘Old Trafford’ . The match which will also be beamed live by SuperSport9 will offer us a good us a good chance to hunt for three points.

Although K’Ogalo are the match favorites, KS as usual might pull suprises. This therefore calls for new strategies to tackle the stubborn flowermen. This is the first time AA will be travelling to Nakuru with the team as head coach. Will he break the jinx? And why not?

All the odds are in favor of the Gor Mahia coach. K’Ogalo will be at home away from home. The green army, i bet, will rally behind the team. It is also a fact that Gor made the highest signings ,( 13 in total) this season and some of these deadly arsenal will be unleashed at Old Trafford.

These and the traditional ego of being 13 time winners of the KPL prestigious trophy will put K’ogalo ahead of Karuturi Sports. But as they say, anything is possible in football. I urge the boys to remain focused till the last minute of the match. Otherwise, my best wishes to the boys.

  • I hope these players coming back from injuries or not being rushed back because of pressure from fans.i’ll like it if coach AA field only player who are elligible to play caf matches so that they can gel and improve their form before ferreviaro’s match.

I have no problem with the team but we need to do only 3 things:
    1. Try to score before half time, Gor seems to be on the weak side when they are held till half time.
    2. Kogalo strickers need to be aggressive and worry the opponents backline by giving more pressure, we need to have some sense of speed after the middle line angry for the net.
    3. Most seriously, kogalo defense should spread and avoid a twin marking as experienced during Muhoroni match. I am very possitive the coach has worked on the defence force.
    Go Go Gor Mahia!!!

  • I am optimistic that the technical bench has had sometimes off to think over the complains that the fans have continuously raised. I also want to believe that a long-lasting solution has been found for our Defensive frailties. I want to see the defence sorted out once and for all as David Owino cannot be good for the National team- (under 23) but not good to play for Gor Mahia. You cannot build a house- starting from the roof without first laying the foundations. This is my last appeal to the technical bench-” Please you must have done your h/work or experiments by now and it is time for us Team Gor Mahia to rise again and confound the/ critics or nay sayers. Good luck Kogallo Mahono.

To Gor Mahia players: you are our heroes and we wish you the best. We know you are able and capable. We shall stand with you at all costs. You have our support whether you win or lose.

We know you are doing your best since no player wishes to be in the losing side. Whatever has befallen us so far is not your fault and you should not play under any pressure at all. The EC is held responsible for all setbacks so far and once they put their house in order then it shall all be well. Jinx or no jinx victory shall be ours in Naivasha.

@ LE PASTRE this time round the spirits from JO-NDHIWA will not let you my brother from jo-kanyamwa down. If we can score three goals as JABILO has predicted then i dedicate the goals to the following spirits:
    1. GOR wuod OGADA [ First Half 10 minutes]
    2. OGADA wuod OGALO [First Half 35 minutes]
    3. MAHIA MAHONO [Second Half 75 minute]

And as usual our defensive blunder will leak the consolation goal for our lake-side brothers in Naivasha.
