Logarusic offered better terms

Gor Mahia officials are confident that their Croation coach Zdravko Logarusic will return to the club next season after increasing his salary by 80 per cent.
Club secretary George Bwana, however, said the team did not have the Sh4 million signing fee the coach was asking for and pleaded with him to work within the club’s budget.
“We have done our best as an executive and increased the coach’s salary from Sh300,000 to Sh500,000 which we think is reasonable enough and would want him to understand our situation and take it,” Bwana said, adding that it would be unreasonable for the club to live beyond their means.
He said the coach is expected back in the country this week for pre-season training but was categorical that life will have to continue with or without the coach.
There have been reports that the coach will not return after Gor Mahia officials stated that they could not afford the 200 per cent salary increase demanded by the coach.
At least this is a positive move by the EC. It is now up to the Coach to make a quick decision so that we may move forwad. An increase by 80% is reasonable and justified.
if what i have read here is true then it is upto coaches to decide the right thing if truly he loves GOR.
Suppose Bwana is lying on this matter they way he is know to be making some reckless press briefings. For heaven’s shake, why do you discuss the coach exact renumerations on press?
From the list of players which we are privy to, then it appears that we have exhausted the list of foreign players of a required maximum 5 players by KPL. I personally have an issue with Abbey, whom I do not think has the quality to fit into Gor Mahia pattern of play unless he is another different player that was rejected by Gor Mahia technical bench under Zico. If he is Abbey that came for trials at one point, then there is no different between him and Ngwa. This is a wasted opportunity for a foreign slot.
Does Gor Mahia EC Officials have a youth programme in place to capture the upcoming talents such as the Upper Hill lads of Olunga and other secondary schools and colleges/universities players? Why do we go for recruitments that have no focus for future prosperity of the club the exludes young talents? There are some very good unexposed players in the two Nationwide Leagues that are even better than some of the players that we currently have in the KPL. Does Gor Mahia have an elaborate and strong scouting networking team in the country or EA region that can player a big role in scouting for talents? Our good fans that include secondary and primary school teachers can play a big role in scouting for such talents at either a minimal fee or no fee at all for the love of the club and game.
EC should deeply and seriously think on where they want to take the club without a good foundation for the youth development and the future.
Good news everyone according to goal.com Loga himself has confirmed that he will be returning to Gor for the 2013 season
The right of response to brother Mwakio. As the kick-off comes into the horizon teams and their fans begins to have a mixture of excitement and trepidation because of the unknown. Bro Mwakio is an astute old hand ön things Gor Mahia. He has raised very valid questions that we have to try and answer.
1. For starters, even the well established institutional Clubs in Kenya ie TUSKER, KCB, SONY, WESTERN STIMA and ULINZI STARS, with their loads of cash to throw around do not have a functional Youth System. If they did they would be doing less recruitment from other teams. So Gor Mahia with its limited resources cannot run and sustain an effective Youth System. The amounts involved in setting up Ÿouth Systems are huge and can only be surmounted when Gor Mahia is turned into a fully professional Club, run professionally and by professionals. GM is still a Social and Welfare club registered with Ministry of Culture and Social Services. We have endlessly petitioned and submitted blue prints to the EC on how to turn this club around. They MUST Register this club as a PLC at the Registrar of Companies so that we can buy shares. Until this is done, we will never attract the kind of sponsorships associated with the clubs the size of GM ie, the Al Ahly, Esperance, Zamalek, Raja Cassablanca Asec Mimosa etc. As at now Youth Systems can only be set up by the Government in conjunction with schools and Colleges. This is what THIKA UNITED has tried to emulate but at a very very small level.
2]. As for foreign players recruitment, everybody is lost because TUSKER have just recruited 4 Ugandans, A Nigerian and a Liberian. The EC or KPL needs to come out and address this issue before some fans begin to call them ‘ignorrant’
3]. As for discussing the coach’s pay in public, its both good and bad. The EC wants the fans to know that they are transparent in all their transactions. Its bad because it exposes the details of a private member’s pay in public. We don’t know what the general public will do with that information.
4] Abbey Naty won the award that Sserunkuma won when he first came to play in the TPL, that’s – the best NEW PLAYER. So this guy must be good bwana Mwakio for him to be recorgnized and honoured with an award. He must have improved if he is the same Abbey Kunrunmi Kogallo once turned back. Down the memory lane: If you don’t know Mr Mwakio, the legendary Dan Ogada (Dunga/Mabong/Oga) was once booed, heckled and turned back by Gor Mahia. Look how a marvellous player he became, even earning the arm band at GM and playing for his country for many years.
5] Fans of Gor Mahia have always been the scouts that the club uses to scout the players they desire to sign. This summer will not be any different and I believe they have done a very commendable job. As a club GM cannot sustain a very big back room staff because of limited finances. We are going for the experienced players because our systems have not grown/developed any players. The Old Olympic Youth Centres set up in the earlier ’80s by the great Germa Bernard Zgoll, propelled and sustained our football for two decades. It kept on churning talents after talents. This was the conveyor belt of players for both Gor Mahia and their traditional rivals AFC Leopards. Anybody remembers Ayoyi, Mulamba, Nyangi, Fundi and Austin Oduor? I rest my case.
From the facebook posting by Logarusic himself below we are now sure he will be back but my worry is that the time has really moved and especially now that we ahve made some new signings…

Happy New Year Gor Mahia Family! Hope to meet you guys soon! thank you so much for your comments and compliments and messages. For those who are looking for me on chat, Id like to say that Id so much like to chat, but as you know, it becomes hard to chat especially when you have over 20 chat window popping up all of which require your attention. so Id appreciate your messages and compliments on my page. thank you and have a great year
On a different note, I’ve noted two very important points on previous postings of @ODUOR12 16 & 17 on subject Kogalo sign Ugandan defender. He has brought up a very good idea about the 20% we pay to City Council in every match from part of gate collections and the performance bonuses. Imagine in scenarios where gate collections are 5m. EC should renegotiate with City Council so that we dot pay more and this will help EC in budgeting. We can negotiate on a figure of 40k. Think about this idea.
On my above posting (@6 Walter Alando Bwoga) paragraph one is regarding Logarusic’s facebook postings and paragraph 2 is a good idea I got from Oduor12’s posting. Thanks and happy new year 2013.
The transfer of Moses ‘Dube’ Odhiambo is really painful for me since all these TPL clubs humtambua sana especially AFC Leopards but we have made a good amount of 6.4 million so I relaese him from my heart. I have read on the link below and futaa.com:
