Rachier set to roll out strategic plan
From the Nation
Kenyan Premier League champions Gor Mahia will roll out a strategic plan aimed at making the club financially self-reliant.
Club chairman Ambrose Rachier on Wednesday held a closed-door meeting with officials and advisors which resolved that the team will cash in on its huge following to generate revenue from within rather than relying only on sponsors.
Gor Mahia are currently without a sponsor and have been struggling to pay players. Recently, Kenya Revenue Authority demanded Sh118 million in unremitted income tax.
“While a sponsor would be an immediate solution to our current problem, we have been advised to find ways of making the club self-sufficient so that we don’t find ourselves in this mess again in future. It is time we found other financial sources instead of relying totally on a sponsor,” he said.
The reigning league champions have been left bankrupt after their sponsorship deal with Brookside under their flagship product Tuzo expired in March.
FINANCIAL PLAN
And Gor is finalising a plan that will see the club recruit one million club member who will each contribute a membership fee of Sh100. This will help raise Sh100 million which is expected to meet the club’s Sh72 million annual budget even in the absence of an external donor.
“We now want to deal with members, not just fans,” Rachier said. “If we make this a reality then we will be even better off without a sponsor. Most sponsors have been giving us between Sh20-30 million, but we intend to raise Sh100 million to enable the club sustain itself for more than a year.”
Despite the challenges, K’Ogalo have posted straight wins in their last four matches. They travel to Sony Sugar on Sunday.
No away kit
Meanwhile goal.com reports that the away uniform purchased by Nairobi governor Evans Kidero is small in size hence they will use Tuzo branded kit
Gor Mahia troubles continue unabated and the latest is their inability to procure on time an away kit for Sunday’s Kenya Premier League match against Sony Sugar at Afraha Stadium in Nakuru.
Nairobi governor Evans Kidero gave the team Sh100, 000 to enable them buy uniform but an official, who was charged with the responsibility did not get the right size.
Gor Mahia Secretary General Chris Omondi has revealed to Goal that they will now be forced to use their Tuzo branded white kit but black out their former sponsors Tuzo.
Tuzo pulled out from sponsoring the club last month and they have also been recently hit by a Sh118million tax demand from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).
“Nairobi governor gave us money to buy uniform but the official, who took up responsibility did not get right size. It is too late to change it now because it was bought from Dubai.
“We have decided to use our white kit and black out the Tuzo logo because they are no longer our sponsors.” Omondi confirmed that the new kit will now be available from next Wednesday.
Surely how does someone buy small uniforms? I smell corruption here. That official thought he was getting a deal and was going to pocket the change. Little did he know that he was buying uniforms for youths! Anyway those uniforms can be used by Gors under 19 team…Another honorary badge for Gors management.
How about categorizing membership instead of one flat rate??? Like Platinum,Gold,Silver and bronze card holder, where the premium card holders are entitled to maybe 20% discount in purchase of club merchandise ? I am convinced we can collect more than 100 million per year for the club.
I hope it will not be a strategic plan to loot as much as possible from the donations!! Recently, I was told that a stadium will be built for us and that I should vote a certain team in. Not sure how that will be done when even playing uniforms is an issue.
Yes……thanks for heading to my slogan, 1 million fans. We will soon organise a
A massive nationwide ‘a million man march ‘ to raise 100 million for kogallo.
Watch this space
Dear all,
It was all coming, enough has been said in the past. The fans had been waiting for the best moment to be part of this team since year 2011. Most of the official who are coming with strategic plans now were still in office. They exhibited no vision at all. Never knew the sponsorship would come to an end and provided nothing, nothing, nothing even for training kits.
As many have said this is a shame. It is great let down to the players and the fans. The office bearers slept on the job for far too long. These guys should be barred from attending Gor matches and work from “somewhere” to fix the mess they have created.
did this office know the players had families to feed? The fans always got it wrong where the players were victimized for non – performance
No wonder we have never really attracted some of the best players regionally and even locally. They know the story better than all of us. Our recruitment has always been pathetic seemingly we are resented. No need to write a lot. WE JUST MUST CONTRIBUTE TO SAVE THE PLAYERS AND RE ASSURE THEM THAT GOR IS BIGGER THAN OFFICIALS
This has been the darkest month for Kogalo if any of the reports in the press are to be believed.
I have contributed severally but looking at the figures, i believe the long term solution lies in selling the club.
We need to sell the club. Either through shares or to a willing investor. The fans can always support the club as usual but like i said before, the collections paint a really bad picture. We are very noisy but also very broke as a community. All the big clubs in the world have investors who own and control them but they retain their traditional support base.
Let an investor buy our assets (if any) and also our liabilities and move the club forward.
Sell the club!
i totaly agree with the plan, indeed it has been overdue, we as the fans can keep the team afloat only that the funds be managed prudently.
@The villager : I am for sourcing for a strategic investor who will take 49% share of the club and 51% of the shares in the club be owned by registered members and their families thro the branches such that if u want to be a shareholder, u and ur family must belong to a branch.we will trade and invest …this is the way forward since it is more professional and reliable…….jokanyanam marich kan form a company makao 49% stake kae to jobranches kau 51%…kaeto walos pesa mar dividends.opira sani en oala joluo.
Whenever I watch Supersport PlayBACK and Simba Sports I find Kanyagonda as a level-headed and informed analyst and moreover he has a very soft spot for Gor.
Why can’t we ‘recruit’ him and others to form a STRATEGIC TEAM to move gor forward. As it is the current EC as constituted cannot help us move forward.
On whether as a Gor community we are rich or not our numbers can literally take us where we want.
Let us all be confident that WE CAN else the feeling of being down will affect our EC and playing unit.
i believe that this is the plan that will now push us to where we are supposed to be
Am really sad this morning and cannot believe what is going on in our club.please this is the right opportunity for us to put all we have been saying here in action. This is a blessing and seemingly it is eye opener for gor mahia community.i have 2000/- that i had put aside to go to Nakuru to watch our game with sony but i will contribute it to the team instead ,am really saddened by what am seeing, gor mahia of all the teams cant afford to buy playing kits for players with all our fan base…?
please let us swallow our pride and uplift our team,To guys like ingo who are always the quick to laugh so loudly and rejoice at there neighbors downfall.please you should know that if it were afc going through this moment we are going through you could not be even in the league because i know your fans who are ever complaining even for the gate charges to be reduced to 100/-.
Jokanyanam it is the time to come out stronger and stronger to shame the ingos of this world and help the team. But today am really sad, if the other teams in kpl are just using gor mahia matches to settle their bills while gor mahia is struggling due to some two or three people.please it is not time to spill the beans ,let us assist our team but i cant believe what am seeing.
Whatever is happening at Gor Mahia is not new at all. This is were Kogallo has always been save for the last 3 years when it had TUZO as sponsors. I therefore find it rather deceitful that some of us are surprised or ashamed.
The only way to help Kogallo out of this crisis is by selling it to an investor or secure a TUZO-like sponsor. This thing of 1 million members shall never work. It is nice to dream but also very important to be realistic. A more realistic figure would be 100,000 members. How much have we contributed since the pay bill no was launched? Not even half a million. If the world most popular teams like Barcelona, Chelsea, ManU, Asernal et al cannot survive without sponsors, who then is Gor Mahia.
Lastly, let us learn to appreciate our business partners/sponsors. Some of us on this site never missed an opportunity to pour vitriol on TUZO. Now they are gone, in comes crisis. Pride comes before a fall. Let us face it, Gor Mahia member cannot be 1 million. Even if, times are hard economically and very few member will be willing to contribute at all.
For God and my beloved club – Kogallo
The strategic plan is a brilliant idea that must be supported by all. The buck stops at AR with regard to the purchased small sized away kit, and let’s hope that he takes a firm and swift decision to deal with the concerned official. To support this strategic plan, the board need to aggressively wip all the fans and supporters in to membership, and use every opportunity especially during our matches to communicate passionately to the audience. The paybill option remain the best initiatives that will see the club stay on the financial driving seat in the days to come. For the bloggers especially snitches, we have no time for you, so better keep your ideas to yourself.
So many time we have complained on this site that things are not that good at the clua but what we got were insults. At last, the ec has bought into the ideas given here. Let the membership recruitment begin. We are very ready to build the club
AR all we need now is actions not just empty talks. Why can’t you make use of media stations like Ramogi ,Nam Lolwe and other mainstream media stations to raise funds .You can as well call for an Harambee, organise for a friendly by teams like Yanga or explore other marketing strategies like what Jakoyo has suggested and we will be home and dry.
Infact you should sack officials who were involved in purchasing under size away kits to send message that we want accept any wastage whatsoever .Just hope this crisis will make us to be stronger than before in our management style .Let’s contribute without discouraging others ,thank you.
I think this guy who went to buy the kits must b insane.how can a whole official buy small kits yet we have samples.
hahaha this exactly why i tell these gor fans you will never get to the next level. Now the club president comes out with inexplicable utopia and you buy it. How exactly does a club that can’t bring in 30,000 fans every matchday expect to bring in one million members.
If the club was at the very least professional, the members(who are currently so few) would have had reserve funds and would have been powerful enough to remove these folks from office.
Your president talks about not relying only on sponsors, why is nobody asking why they never had financial strategies?? real madrid has 33% from tv 33% from matchday revenue 33% from sponsorship and merchandising.
I just dont get how you people buy false promises and mediocrity
LOL WONDERS NEVER CEASE AM WITH KOSERO ON THIS ONE.
HOW WILL THE AR LED EC WITH ITS PROVEN INCOMPETENCE MANAGE A REGISTER OF 1 MILLION MEMBERS.
THIS IS A CON SCHEME,AN EASY WAY OF RAISING MONEY WITHOUT BEING ACCOUNTABLE. SIMPLY THE MEMBERS WILL BE TO NUMEROUS, SCATTERED AND EACH INDIVIDUAL MEMBER’S AMOUNT TOO SMALL TO WARRANT ACCOUNTABILITY.
THE COST OF ACCOUNTABILITY TO MEMBERS WILL BE PROHIBITIVE SO THERE WILL BE NONE.
THIS IS A CON, THE NEXT LUO THRIFT & TRADING CO, THE NEXT KISUMU MOLASSES.
MOST BLOGGERS HAVE INDICATED WILLINGNESS TO GIVE KSHS.500 PER MONTH. THAT’S KSHS.6,000.00/YEAR.
TO RAISE KSHS.100,000,000 YOU NEED 16,667 MEMBERS.
NOW ISN’T THAT MORE REALISTIC & MANAGEABLE COMPARED TO THE NUMBERS WHO ATTEND GOR MATCHES.
ALSO OF TOP PRIORITY IS FOR AR TO TELL US HOW MUCH KRA TAX BILL IS FINALLY AGREED ON. THIS AMOUNT CAN BE REDUCED TO TAX ONLY WITH PENALTIES & INTEREST.
AR / EC MUST NOT CHEAT US THAT THE AMOUNT PAYABLE IS 118MILLION.
CALL ME STUPID OR AN EMPTY HEAD BUT THIS STRATEGIC PLAN IS SIMPLY UNACCOUNTABLE HENCE A CON SCHEME.
What perplex me with some bloggers is their pessimistic mindset. If you don’t want to contribute then just keep off and let those who are willing to support to “DREAM” with the EC and keep it afloat. Why query how much has been collected so far and yet you have not donated nothing.Nobody has been forced to contribute and the same people who yelled “KUTOA NI ROHO SIO UTAJARI” are posting negative energy at such a time.
We can not force sponsors to come on board against their wish. And i totally agree with @Stiv Agwat post above as stated “For the bloggers especially snitches, we have no time for you, so better keep your ideas to yourself.”
@Kosero you once commented that your are NOT worried about nothing and you still you have the audacity to post your hypocritical tag-line “FOR GOD AND BELOVED CLUB”. How do you LOVE a club that you are NOT worried about in time of need. AWUORI JA-SOFASET..!!
@ O.T we need to sweet talk Ja Sofaset branch to rally his buddies at Tok Komwanda in Kampala to send money.
@Kosero stop being selfish as the quartet of Walu,Ssere ,Baba and Emuge are know surviving on hand outs from well wishers.
They are the reason behind our contribution not forgetting that they do entertain you guys while enjoying yourself within the comfort of your Sofaset. @Kosero please lobby for us k’Ogalo supporter in Uganda to help your beloved club.
Please i always insist that if you are not willing to contribute don’t discourage others who can do so.It is just a humble advice even me i have not contributed much but discouraging people who are willing to help the team is not good.Everyone in gor mahia knows very well that it is our officials who have failed us but this is not the right time to point fingers at each other.let us rescue the team.
Daily updates on contributions please.
@OGANGO TRAILER, I am not sure whether you the custodian of the list of contributors so far. I still repeat Kutoa ni moyo wala si utajiri. I am not sure whether there is anywhere on my last post where I have discouraged anybody from contributing. Not at all.
I have only asked, where the 1 million members will come from. I have only asked that we be realistic in our so called dreams. I honestly do not see what crime I have committed.
Finally, I am not worried about nothing. Well wishers like Ogango Trailer will come to Kogollo’s aid. Why should I worry.
For God and my beloved club – Kogallo
@ kosero you are polluting the minds of the fans who are willing to contribute to the club, please if you are worried about nothing you better keep off. This because you are worried about nothing and with us we are worried about the status of the club right know…please kindly keep off.
@Jabilo and Jack Omollo there is no need of “kulomboruok” with guys who are stingy. Ng’udi ni Ng’udi whether you sweet talk or not.
As a matter of fact it is the likes of @Kosero,Dan Original and PAREYIO of this site who have made Gor to be in the current situation. The die hard sycophants and hero worshipers of AR&Co.
I still recall some years back how with a lot of hatred they vehemently campaigned against one us in this blog and forced MWAKIO to chicken out of the contest for SG post by claiming that “GOR INA WENYEWE”. Now see where “WENYE GOR” have taken us with mediocre management style and practices. And MWAKIO also being the coward that he is,quickly gave in to their demands.
When i posted that some of the current officials were better keeping them away from electoral venue, bloggers labeled me as a thug cum hooligans and now we a reaping what we sowed.
And the hypocrites are very smart in misusing the name of God.Just like the other day WE said a big NO to BW with his”PATIA SSEREKUMA” style and the same case applied to our players who thought to be “WENYE” Gor and now we are harvesting points with goals being scored in diversity.
@Oluoch, I respect you opinion, kindly respect other people’s too. Who said everything must go your way. Your views must not be the same as mine. I do not see how my views affects your ability to contribute.
Why should I be worried with well wishers like Oluoch around.
For God and my beloved club – Kogallo
Guys, let’s not be myopic. Ever heard of the saying that we aim for the stars and find ourselves on the moon. Meaning we aim to get 1m members but if we end up even with 50,000 or 100,000 then we will be even better off than CAfootball’s revered teams. After all @ODUOR12 has computed that we need a minimun 0f 16,667 members to get us 100m per year by giving 500per month. From our fan base surely this is not something we cannot achieve with good organisation. Equating this with Molases and Luothrift is going too far since here is a case where we can see direct output of our contribution and moreover we are not expecting to get dividends or bonus from the club.
At this time i expect all members to be patriotic enough to the team, help get us out of this quagmire as we DEMAND for accountability. We should also note that the fact that we blog and shout Gor does not make us gor followers , maybe we are just professional bloggers. Also we should note that note all gor followers have money, a case in point is those that hang around the gates expecting free entry but demanding exceptional performance from the players and TB.
@OGANGO TRAILER, I would really love to know how much you have “generously” contributed so far to our beloved club. I admit I am Ng’udi.
I thought elections were held hardly 5 months ago. You had the chance of electing a better office. What exactly stopped you?
Whoever supports AR is a sycophants, give us a name for whoever does not.
For God and my beloved club – Kogallo.
Anybody who do not wish to contribute shud not talk at all about contribution.
& on recruitment drive, first EC shut look into registered branches & find out there no. then find that these branches have how many members. Assuming that we have 20 branches with 100 members each which translates to 2000 members. If 2000 members can cont. 1000/- each every month. that will be 2m/month which is not bad. Let these branches recruit members & I think branches r more than 40 & target only 100000 members & not 1m
The problem I have with Rachier is he never delivers promises. And based on the events of the past few months, I would say he is also negligent.
However I disagree with the idea of selling to an investor. How can you sell a club that does not have an ownwer ? You can only sell something you own.
If an investor pays Ksh 10 million for the club, who gets the 10 million ? Is it the members ? They dont own it. Does the money go back into the club ? if so then the owner gets back all the money he paid to buy the club.
@ kosero wacha madharau whom do you call (like)…please even me am just a local gor mahia fan who is always sitting at russia,my little contribution can not take gor mahia anywhere but if i get another like minded fan /fans our contribution will take the club somewhere.so dont try to utter words which are exposing for us your level of thinking, after all you are just a sofaset branch member who can just make noise in this blog and is contributing nothing financially to the club.please learn to respect others with your hollow skull.
@Oluoch, I thought respect is two way and furthermore is earned not forced. With my “hollow skull”, when I have the likes of Oluoch, I need not to worry about Kogallo. Why should I contribute when the likes of Oluoch can.
For God and my beloved club – Kogallo
@ comrade Albert Kosero a.k.a Ja-Kampala; Honestly with all due respect why would you love to know how much i have contributed and yet you are ceremoniously playing the “DEVILS ADVOCATE ROLE” with this issue.
As you have aptly put it am just “generously” donating 4 K”Ogalo kitty and not SoNy. By doing that i will make sure that we are able to play against your team SoNy this weekend. And by the way why can’t U talk to your contacts persons at SoNy to disband their team and sponsor K’Ogalo the MUMIAS SUGAR style. TRY IT OUT 4 US.
For your Stingy GOD and beloved club SoNy.
@OGANGO TRAILER, thanks for the generous contribution. With the likes of Ogango Trailer, Kogallo cannot go wrong.
I agree with you, concerning SoNy taking over Kogallo. Those are the kind of ideas that are needed on this blog, but not calling Kosero names. I know you have posted this as a joke, but believe you me, its an good idea. I can imagine what a Sugar Millers derby would be like.
For God and my beloved club – Kogallo
If you guys thought that our problems are over see the message below. No words to express this.

The premier body confirm to Goal that they have discontinued remitting Sh500, 000 to K’Ogalo until the champions sorts out tax demand from KRA
EXCLUSIVE
By Otieno Otieno
Kenyan Premier League has confirmed they have stopped remitting monthly grants to Gor Mahia until the league champions sort out their tax issues with Kenya Revenue Authority.
Gor Mahia have been slapped with a Sh118million tax demand by Kenya Revenue Authority. According to KPL Chief Executive Jack Oguda, they were advised to withhold Gor Mahia’s grants by the tax man until the club sorts out the issue.
“It is true we have stopped remitting Gor Mahia’s monthly grant. We are also happy that they are sorting out the issue and hopefully they will be able to receive the money to help them in their day to day activities,” Oguda exclusively told Goal.
Kenya Premier League gives Sh500, 000 to all 16 clubs every month as part of broadcast sponsorship from SuperSport.
The latest action comes in the heels of a number of problems bedeviling the club, which recently declared that they are broke and even launched a pay bill number for fans to contribute money.
K’Ogalo recently lost shirt sponsorship after Tuzo pulled out and is in urgent need of money to finance its Sh4.5million per month budget. Gor Mahia are also in trouble with world governing body Fifa, who have questioned how they ended up signing midfielder Patrick Oboya.
The champions face Sony Sugar away in Nakuru this weekend and could end up using Tuzo branded shirts for the away fixture.
@Dan, had seen that. Darkest month!
@Joe Riaga, you can sell something that you don’t own. I believe it is precisely because Kogalo has no owner that it should be sold immediately. Let me explain;
1. Hooliganism
How do you expect a club with no owner and a corrupt EC to police itself?
Solution: Sell the club so that the owner(s) can take responsibility and action on hooligans and hooliganism.
2. Sponsor
When we negotiate with the next sponsor, they will want to know who we are. Who are we? Can you answer the question? Is it because you were born a Luo that you think Gor Mahia is yours?
Solution: We need a proper ownership structure to attract sponsors who respect our team.
3. Finance
Now we are questioning what has been happening in our club. Do we have any right? Is it our club? What is our account number? Is it AR’s club?
Solution: We need to own the club before we demand accountability. If we can’t own it, we must let someone else own it.
Conclusion:
The challenges we are facing at he moment should serve as a wake up call to the lovers, fans, followers, members and all associated with Gor Mahia that we can’t do things the same and expect different results.
We can’t let people supervise their own elections, we can’t let people sell players in secrecy, we can’t let people work with no books of account, we can’t let hooligans thrive with no arrests, we can’t let gangs man the gates and print fake tickets, we can’t let traders sell fake jerseys and many more ills. If it was in your company or where you are employed, someone would be sacked yesterday. It only happens here because Gor ina wenyewe na si wewe.
Sell the club!
@Dan Original u never fail to amuse me. How did u expect KPL to remit the cash and yet the account is frozen. KPL can not give hard cash to AR & Co who are busy taking this club to the dogs.
A lawyer of his calibre, running a high profile law firm has brought shame to the entire K’Ogalo fraternity. We are contributing with one condition only ; they must account and audit the funds with utmost transparency, otherwise it is no longer business as usual. How do we expect support from guys like Kidero, when they learn a very mature adult in the name of Gor officials squandered his 100K bail out for players kit in broad day light because of 10% cut. It is our players plight that makes me contribute and not the uncouth executive of AR.
1 million fans not in a million years. Its just wishfull thinking bwana Rachier. I have never critized you but on this one you are calling us fools for sure. Someone has given a simple realistic figure on how to raise 100million, just register 16,667 fans who can contribute 500sh monthly. Better still why not categorise fans because not all can give 500sh. There could be those who could be willing to give more or less per month.
I think someone is afraid of accountability and i pray KRA does not let go of this issue to put pressure on this office to change the constitution to make our dear club responsive to the modern way of doing business. YThis office are an embarrassment whether people like or not.
@Dan. We do not need an owner in order to address hooliganism. This issue is best addressed by government help and fans policing themselves. An owner cannot control hooliganism especially when it happens on the streets with fans throwing stones at motorists.
Finances are best addressed via competent leadership and as many have said here, transparency and accountability.
And yes members have a right to question what is happening at the club.
We do not need an owner. The Barcelona model works best.
Bloggers , bloggers, lets not loose hope at the hour of need, adversity brings the best out of people.
If fans are loosing hope you can imagine what is happening in the players minds with all this drama behind the scene! Just a matter of time before we loose them all, off course for FREE , what else do you expect with the current EC. Furthermore, admin Will also call the shots and pull this website off air!
As our trouble mounts, Am still calling on all of you to rally behind the team as we plan for ‘ a million man’s march ‘ to save this club from eminent fall. You remember ranger Fc of Scotland ? There is No way we are going to be relegated, NEVER !
hahaha ati strategic investor that will not work , what is the investor investing in nonsense forget that .next is the strategic plan from Ambrose rachier i really don’t see anything tangible out of his leadership this will be a waste and empty workout meant to steal from the club ,first ..mine is on short term the EC to work properly with gate collection easy money for the club we have averagely 2 home matches in a month lets target 5.8 m in these then pay salaries and other logistics actually the original bloggers all ducked off from the blog with the exception of @oduor12,@jabilo and a few others the problem is gormahia s a cash cow , very maligned in the eye of the Kenyan public yani gor en raoiyi pesa ne rumo e sei , i did a donation thru a friend but he vehemently never wanted me to donate the money that i work so hard to earn then i give to wolves , the buch leil style of gor at the moment will NEVER MAKE THE CLUB MOVE FORWARD so this strategic plan is still birth and good luck if you raise 1million with the m-pesa thing… so such the entire gang of thieves then elect new interim office of 3 people then work with that donations only go well if they donors are assured of proper use of their cash ask MYSA
My very humble suggestion:
Target 16,667 members (let’s make it 20,000) each making a monthly contribution of kshs.500.
20,000 members x kshs.500 x 12months will raise kshs.120,000,000 per year. Coz of the crisis am moving from the 5bob a day membership to 16bob per day.
The kshs.6,000 year membership should be payable 1/4ly in advance i.e 1,500 by 1st Jan,1st April,1st July & 1st October. Let’s EC be compelled to account for the funds quarterly to enhance & encourage transparency.
Any hanky panky by any official should result in ejection from office.
Now give members the following main benefit among others (as an incentive)
Special home match rates
1. Terraces kshs.150 and VIP kshs.400.00. If this attracts 13,000 members on the terraces & 2,000 members on the VIP stands then we will raise kshs.2,750,000 every home match.
For the 15 home matches gate collections will be kshs.41,250,000.00.
TOTAL YEARLY REVENUE FROM MEMBERSHIP & GATE COLLECTIONS WILL BE 120M + 41M =161M.
IN FACT MAKE GM A COOPERATIVE WITH A MINIMUM CONTRIBUTION OF KSHS.500 PER MONTH.
ENGAGE KRA AND AGREE ON THE TAX AMOUNT & REPAYMENT PERIOD. AM DOUBLE SURE THIS AMOUNT CAN BE REDUCED TO EVEN KSHS.30M PAYABLE OVER TEN YEARS. THAT’S A MANAGEABLE KSHS.3M PER YEAR.
WHEN AR SAY HE HAS A STRATEGIC PLAN OF 1M MEMBERS @ 100BOB.SOUNDS LIKE A ONE OFF RIP OFF PLAN.
IN ALL HONESTY AR & CO CAN’T BE AT THE FOREFRONT OF ANY PLAN FOR IT HAVE AN IOTA OF CREDIBILITY.
I REPEAT FOR THE UMPTEENTH TIME AR/EC JUST ENGAGE KRA SO THAT YOU AGREE ON THE TAX AMOUNT AND PAYMENT PERIOD.
IMMEDIATELY THAT IS DONE KRA WILL UNFREEZE GM’S BANK ACCOUNTS.
IF KPL IS COMPELLED TO OBEY KRA’S ORDERS IT’S REALLY FOOLHARDY TO THINK THAT SAFCOM WILL DO OTHERWISE IF DIRECTED.
imagine Gor is a blue chip company like Barclays, East African Breweries etc NOTE if GOR and AFC being blue chip clubs whose performance will always create a bear or bull runs in Kenya football.
Can you then imagine if a blue chip co is mismanaged and run down by directors and the shareholders are then given a strategic plan to revive the company by the same Directors, CEO etc UNDER WHOSE WATCH the company went bankrupt. Who is fooling who?
TAFAKARI HAYO BABU
@JB why r u against having a strategic investor partnering with the branches made up of fans investing in floated shares in the club.? let us av a strategic investor taking up 49% of the shares and fans and their families thro the branches taking up 51% of the shares.we will then invest in The STOCK EXCHANGE OF THE WORLD.eg.N.S.E…THIS THE FUTURE GENTLEMEN.
The Villager, we are not a poor community. Instead we only happen to be a community whose political leaders would rather we be impoverished and that way remain for ever dependent on them for handouts come elections. Ask yourself why none of this battery of very learned politicians (past and present) has never fronted an agenda for the socioeconomic emancipation of the community?
For AR, now that your strategic plan (after a lengthy closed door meeting with your “top” officials) is obviously going nowhere, why don’t you swallow your pride and embrace Oduor12’s suggestion about 20,000 members paying 16 bob per day? To Oduor12, what happens to that member who fails to remit the quarter-yearly membership fee on the due date?
AR and his EC have squandered a grand opportunity for turning Gor Mahia around. These guys have many leaves to borrow. How did Shaban Olum Mabuko manage to run semi-professional outfits like Volcano United and Shamako Babes in those early days? That is substantial evidence as to why professionalization of the running of a football club can work. In fact with Gor Mahia it can work much better because K’Ogalo happens to have one great asset which Shaban Olum Mabuko never had.
@ BB as OT suggested I think members should be issued with “atm” cards which are swiped to pay for entry to our home matches at the special / members’ rates.
If you allow your membership to lapse then your card should be automatically rejected by the machine(s) and you will be required to pay (cash)the rate for non members which should be at least shs.100 more for the terraces and kshs.250 for VIP.
Members should also have the first priority to purchase tickets.
I’ve always advocated the we must insist that first and foremost GM focuses on football and as the club grows and it will be more prudent and convenient to b a member.
These membership fees should also accumulate towards one’s shares in the future GM Co. Ltd/Cooperative.
AS YOU SUGGESTED A PROPER TRANSPARENT ELECTRONIC REGISTER IS A MUST.
FINALLY ONLY THOSE WITH UP TO DATE MEMBERSHIP (FOR SAY 3 YEARS)SHOULD QUALIFY TO VIE TO BE GM OFFICIALS or vote in elections.
@oduor12, BB, OT, Oduor, Villagers, etc you have excellent ideas but we do not have those that can implement these ideas. AR is too busy politicking with wild statements. However a thousand miles start with a single step. The EC are not serious at all in pursuing sustainable ways of making the clung a float. We have just a bunch of looters with no ideas to help Gor Mahia.
We have been crying for the club to look at ways of making the club have better structures but none of these guys are serious at all.
We are people and fans willing to contribute on daily, weekly, fortnightly, monthly, bimonthly, quarterly, semi annually and annually to the club but none of these office bearers are willing to come up with ways of tapping these avenues. Our EC are full of people with no ideas to think outside the box.
In the past we have posted excellent ideas and even ways of curbing hooliganisms but these empty EC members have continued to bury their heads in sand.
I support all ideas to help the club but are these officials serious to pursue the excellent ideas and strategies of helping the club as articulated by bloggers in this site.
We have dead EC members and it is time to do away with some of the outdated ways of running the club such as holding the useless elections which are even pre-rigged with support of the fans.
I blame our fans for the problems the club is currently facing because we continue to support and bring officials with no ideas on how a club should be run. These good for nothing officials are busy with gate collections at the expense of putting structures that will reduce the thriving stealing of gate collections.
A very noble idea that not be a lip service but put into action imediately tell me when and where and how far has the other one gone give updates on the progress so far
@om ochieng okello i am never confrontational nor personal in my rare comments …look here what is the strategic investor investing in? we have nothing since the formation of gor mahia fc it has been a loss making entity , look at our fans what are they up to? cause mayhem all through so we are a not an attractive franchise , where i am at the moment i met some Indians who came to ken ya to visit and had /felt the wrath of gormahia fans again we are in Africa apart from Irwin khosa of Orlando pirates , Moise tumbi of the Lubumbashi club tp mazembe and sundowns ownership is a rare thing in third world … to me as ever rachier cannot will and should not take gor to the promised land ,the club is registered as a society which is loose in terms of managing it lets start another Sacco as gor then we elect directors with strict mandate meanwhile lets the branches take up the gate collection to help pay salaries of staff better constitutions are written during crisis time we are no exception the office will deep their hand in any blood you put in the club in form of money they will steal it i salute @mwakio. odur 12 , ogango trailer and barefoot bandit
