Sad story of Solomon Nasio

Gor Mahia right back Solomon Nasio is in dire need of medical attention to salvage his career.
The 28-year-old Nasio broke his nose last year during Gor’s 2-1 win over Karuturi Sports in Naivasha.
His last appearance for Gor was on March 30 in their 2-1 loss to Bandari in Mombasa, where he was withdrawn after he began bleeding. According to Nasio, the surgery will cost at least Sh150,000, which he cannot afford.
“My attempts to get help from the club have been futile as the management has been avoiding me. They promised to help but nothing has been done so far,” Nasio told Daily Nation Sport.
“It has been a difficult time for me. I was injured in a club assignment but I’m yet to get any help. I’ve been in and out of the Kenyatta National Hospital for check-ups and this is becoming unbearable for me. The doctors recommended corrective surgery last year but I’m yet to undergo the procedure due to lack of money.”
Nasio says he experiences pain when breathing. “At times I bleed and that’s why I can’t train,” Nasio laments.
And with the June transfer window fast approaching, Nasio fears that Gor may drop him. “This means my life will get even more complicated and my career is at risk.
“My team-mates tried to support me by sacrificing their winning bonuses. However, Gor Mahia management stopped this claiming it would embarrass the club,” he says.
Contacted, club secretary-general Chris Omondi said they were aware of the situation but the club’s financial position could not allow them to help Nasio
we now av an insurance to take care of such.let nasio also seek GOD’S INTERVENTION THRO PRAYERS.ni medical na MWENYEZI MUNGU. U WILL B FINE SOLOMON.
This is very sad
This is really unacceptable…we hope with new medical cover this can be taken care of.
@ingo, you are too preoccupied with the happening in Gor Mahia. Why can’t you sort out Ingwe’s predicaments?
How do such stories get through to this site. Is it not something the EC and the player could handle quietly, why such publicity, that gives people like Ingo something to talk about? What is this about EC avoiding to talk to their player? Can that happen at all? I doubt, they must be talking and explaining the difficult financial situation which is common knowledge. As Gor fraternity can’t we raise this amount, 150000 pap? Create an MPESA NUMBER FOR NASIO MEDICAL, NO SHAME ABOUT IT. For those who care to know, currently this is the longest serving player in Gor.
This happened b4 the medical insurance deal, but still though the club is broke they need to mobilize resources and assist Nasio.
This goes to media when one feels he isn’t getting audience or adequate help from club.
EC should have sought help of Gor Mahia fans foundation to handle this. Get a number and ask fans to contribute. Organize a harambee for friends, fans and colleagues to compliment.
The club then tops up.
As a gesture of good will, let club not drop him during the June transfer so that he remains on payroll.EC can’t run away from problems, they were elected to solve problems!
GM is behaving like Unoka in Chinua Achebe’s – Things Fall Apart book. They can’t pay 118m to KRA and won’t pay 150k for a player’s medical bill. Surely, where are we heading to with this EC. Solomon Nasio’s treatment sums up how badly we treat our players once we get suitable players to replace them. Remember- “tunza punda akutunze”
we are treating these players like slaves.
We demand too much but care less about them
the medical cover can cover this. I hope they put him on it. It is not an exclusion. if it is and the insurance does not cover, then throw away that cover
Ingo y shud u be stuck in Efusi yet u sleep, eat, drink & dream Gor Mahia everytime. swear 2day & pledge ua loyalty 2 Gor & we shall be accepting ua critisism of the rot in our EC. But if u cont. ua critics & u r still Efusi, we shall know that u r just celebrating our predicament. We have many Shemejis who pledged their loyalty to Gor & r happy with being part of Gor family.
This is a pre existing condition which cannot be covered by the new scheme. Ask any insurance company and they will tell you the same. Is there a way we can help Solomon if the useless EC have refused to listen to him. This is injustice to Solomon.
Same monkeys, different forest. Sol Nasio sustained an injury while on an official assignment. Surely!
On another issue, is it true that the Nai county gova under the now 4mer governor had given us notice 2 look 4 a new training ground & home ground as they want 2 refurbish City Stadium?
the team must fully professionalize for things to move as they should.
Bloggers the insurance cannot cover nasio for that,he sustained that injury before we got the insurance .

Hey guys I thank you for the support…,you can sent you contributions to Mr Eric Barazas phone please..,0728074232 once again thanks a lot and may Most High God reward you big.
Like · · Share · 95535…..That is the number that Nasio himself provided ,anyone with contribution anaweza tuma kwa hiyo number.
@Jack Omollo, who is Mr. Baraza? His doctor or relative? We will gladly send something to help him out but the EC is really letting us down on these trivial issues. All it requires is to let the fans know the problem and they will assist their players. This is the same thing Kiongera sais before he left.

Unacceptable situation . Please Mr. Chairman ( Mr.Rachier ) , have Mr. NASIO SOLOMON included in the new Medical scheme and all the bills paid .
This will NOT be accepted in the new Gor Mahia FC . Also please ensure there is a players KITTY where such concerns can be addressed .
This is shameful .
