Walusimbi and Aucho to miss weekend action

The Uganda Cranes duo of Geoffrey Walusimbi and Khalid Aucho have written to Gor Mahia to inform the club that they will be returning from Uganda on April 3. As a result, they will both miss the weekend match against Kakamega Homeboyz. They were participating in the 2017 Africa Nations cup qualifiers in which the Cranes lost 0-1 away to Burkina Faso before drawing 0-0 at home.

Gor Mahia have written a complaint letter to FKF over the matter. FKF have in turn contacted FUFA, the Ugandan Federation.

“Gor Mahia has written to us and want FKF to take up the matter with FUFA because clearly it is not fair on them that the players may not be available for the weekend matches,” said a source to goal.com

Meanwhile Jacque Tuyisenge continues to be optmistic about his imminent return to the playing field.

In terms of my recovery there isn’t so much left. I have been able to train well and the only thing I am working on is fitness. I have not have difficulties settling in because I knew Abouba Sibomana and Karim Nzigiyimana before coming so I was comfortable. When I started training everyone treated me well and gave me support, Tuyisenge said to Capital FM

The Rwanda striker also thanked fans and management for being patient.

“It means so much for the Gor Mahia management to have been patient with me, having bought me for a lot of money but couldn’t play because of injury. They have been supportive and I feel indebted to them to repay them for the patience they have shown.”

  • Tuyisenge……you owe no one apology. players get injuries. Don’t mount lots of pressure on yourself just because Gor (someone ) paid you a lot of money. Be yourself and deliver. Fans will judge you by the way you deliver and not how much you cost us. Money is otas.

  • Aucho has become a menace as he continues taking Gor at ransom, now its generated to walusimbi. Its totally unfair an unacceptable for the kind of manner Aucho has given back to the club since the season started.

  • Ngesto, I’m referring the whole genesis. His attitude has drastically changed. Enough complaints are emanating from his own FuFa!
