Former Bandari goalkeeper Wycliffe Kasaya has signed a two year contract with Gor Mahia.

The lanky 25 year old put pen to paper on the deal after impressing Coach Anaba Awono in training in the past few days.

“I am delighted to have signed for a big team and it represents the next step in my career. I had come to train with Gor as I wanted to keep fit and the coach liked what he saw. It’s like a dream come true because after Bandari got relegated, people thought it would be the end of me but here I am.”

Kasaya is the second goalkeeper to sign for Mighty K’Ogalo who earlier this week also signed his former teammate Ivo Mapunda.

“Competition on who becomes first choice will be very tough because Mapunda is an excellent keeper while Jerim Onyango is the captain of the team and one of the best in the country. It means I have to up my game and give 100 percent every day but I am ready for the challenge,” he said.

Gor has already signed Rama Salim, Lloyd Wahome and Mapunda and Secretary General George Bwana added that the club is looking to sign atleast four more players.

“We are still beefing up our squad because we will have several commitments next season with the league, Top 8, FK Cup and continental assignments.”

Lloyd Wahome is a central defender, we need a left back (Yussuf Juma (Thika United) and a right back. Two new goal keepers!!!!

  • Hope the next few signings will be in the attacking-midfield, and striker positions. These areas were some of the most glaring weaknesses this past season.

according to Futaa.com,its reported that the Coach Ahono is unaware of the new signings, and that he only knows of Mpunda and David owino from KARUTURI.This is not a good sign,The coach might not be given free will to do His Job…
