The match was disrupted by a section of fans who were unhappy with the officiating. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additional reporting from the Nation<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kenya Commercial Bank edged champions Gor Mahia 1-0 in a hot \ntempered SportPesa Premier League clash at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos \non Sunday.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kennedy Owino capitalised on Gor&#8217;s \ndefensive lapse to open the score on 22nd minute. The Bankers had \nthreatened in the 18th minute through Ezekiel odera whose header from a \nBolton Omwenga left footed cross went wide.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The game \nwas temporarily stopped on 89 minutes after a section of angry fans \nstarted hurling objects on the field of play in protest of a throw in \nawarded in KCB favour.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Harun Shakava was forced to \nhead out a teasing Dennis Ng&#8217;ang&#8217;a free kick from the right flank after \nJoash Onyango fouled Odera thus opening referee Raymond Omondi&#8217;s book \nwith a yellow card.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Philemon Otieno switched flanks to\n find Francis Kahata whose weighted cross on was headed out by an \nunmarked Francis Mustafa from close range much to a Gor fans&#8217; chagrin.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Two\n minutes later KCB went ahead through Owino who left Onyango on the \nfloor before sending in a low shot to the far post with Boniface Oluoch \nleft hapless.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Bankers toyed with Gor backline forcing coach Hassan Oktay \nto an early substitution. The Turkish Cypriot pulled out Joachim Oluoch,\n who had started in the right back position, for Ugandan Erisa \nSsekisambu as Philemon Otieno moved back to his accustomed right back \nposition. Mustafa replaced Otieno in central midfield with Ssekisambu \njoining attack.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ssekisambu\u2019s speed caused jitters in \nKCB defence as Gor launched a series of attacks in the final quarter \nbefore the break. KCB captain Mike Kibwage cleared off the line Boniface\n Omondi attempt on 34 minutes after&nbsp;KCB custodian Zamu Adisa had been \nbeaten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Four minutes after resumption, Jacques \nTuyisenge unleashed a right footed shot but Adisa parried out for a \nfruitless corner. Adisa gathered Kahata&#8217;s curled in free kick from the \nright flank after Dennis Ng&#8217;ang&#8217;a had brought down Tuyisenge on 63rd \nminute.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Benson Amianda, who rested Odera on 57 \nminutes, thought to have doubled the lead on 72 minutes but his \nferocious right footed stunner was rightfully called for offside by \nsecond assistant referee Oliver Odhiambo.
