{"id":15173,"date":"2019-09-13T02:41:01","date_gmt":"2019-09-13T02:41:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/gormahia.net\/latest\/?p=15173"},"modified":"2019-09-13T03:09:27","modified_gmt":"2019-09-13T03:09:27","slug":"government-to-fund-gor-mahia-trip","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gormahia.net\/latest\/news\/government-to-fund-gor-mahia-trip\/","title":{"rendered":"Government to fund Gor Mahia trip"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/gormahia.net\/images\/joash-alger-18.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Gor Mahia will after all travel Algeria after an eventful week in which the clubs travel plans were thrown into disarray.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additional reporting from the Nation<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gor Mahia are set depart for Algeria on Friday for the first leg  of their Caf Champions League first round match against USM Algier,  club chairman Ambrose Rachier said on Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rachier told <em>Nation Sport<\/em>\n that club patron and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga had intervened \nand the government has promised to give them return air ticket so that \nthey can honour the away fixture set for Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According\n to Rachier, the team couldn\u2019t leave the country on Thursday as earlier \nplanned due to financial constraints, though still they are not sure \nabout the time they shall leave on Friday because that depends on the \nairline and flight which they will be booked in by the government. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe\n shall be leaving on Friday but I can\u2019t tell the time, because we are \nnot sure when the tickets we have been promised will be ready. We intend\n to reach Algeria on Saturday in readiness for the Sunday match.
