The money will be released any time this week,\u201d the source, who did not want to be named, told Goal.<\/p>\n<p>Gor Mahia team manager Jolawi Abondo has been following up on the situation since last week. However, Abondo declined to confirm to Goal whether the club was seeking financial support from the government.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am just here to follow up on other matters,\u201d he told Goal.<\/p>\n<p>Gor Mahia have been struggling since shirt sponsors SportPesa pulled out from the local market citing unfavourable working conditions.<\/p>\n<p>The club has not paid their players for the last four months and they have forced a number of players in the squad to tender notices to quit the Kenyan champions.<\/p>\n<p>The move to receive funding from the government is likely to make other teams also seek for assistance from the Ministry.<\/p>\n<h2>Will Polack Return<\/h2>\n<p>Coach Steve Polack is leaving for the UK and it is not clear whether he will return. He also indicated that it may not be possible to play the next league match given that players are not training.<\/p>\n<p>Additional reporting from the Nation<br \/>\nGor Mahia coach Steven Polack has given the strongest hint yet that he may be leaving the club.<\/p>\n<p>Polack said he will be leaving for his homeland England on Sunday for Christmas holidays and will return on December 30 \u201cif all goes well.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am leaving the country this Sunday and hopefully I will be back on December 30. I am an honest person and I will communicate my decision to the management if am unable to make it back so as to continue with my duties at the club,\u201d said Polack.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe strike by the players is still going on and I doubt if our game against Kisumu All Stars will be played on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHow can you play in a match that you have not trained for?
