Camerounian defensive midfielder Betrrand Konfor has put pen to paper on a two year contract with Gor Mahia. Heavily built like a typical Camerounian, Ngafei previously played for Al Mudhabi in Oman<\/p>\n
Ngafei was born on Janruary 1 1996 in Kurabo Cameroun. He is a product of Aspire Football Aacademy. He had played in Oman since 2017 for three different teams: Ahli Sidab, Jalan and Al Mudhabi<\/p>\n
He follows in the footsteps of other Camerounians who have played for Gor Mahia including Simon Pierre Guidougue and Baldwin Ngwa Afa’nwi<\/p>\n

\nKenyan Premier League record winners Gor Mahia have confirmed the signing of Sydney Ochieng from Western Stima.<\/p>\n
Ochieng has joined the KPL heavyweights whose transfer business is gaining speed. He has signed a four-year contract; the longest contract agreed on by a new signing thus far.<\/p>\n
He has previously played for defunct Palos FC in the National Super League as well as the Premier League\u2019s former champions Tusker.<\/p>\n
The midfielder is the latest star to leave the Kisumu club who have seen a number of their first-team players sign for Wazito and Posta Rangers whereas others have been linked with Kakamega Homeboyz.<\/p>\n
The expected mass exits at Western Stima have been witnessed following the withdrawal of Kenya Power and Lighting Company as their main sponsors.<\/p>\n
\u201cMidfielder Sydney Ochieng\u2019 joins K’Ogalo. We are happy to announce the arrival of Sydney Ochieng\u2019 from Western Stima,\u201d Gor Mahia confirmed via their Facebook page.<\/p>\n
Ochieng becomes the fifth player to sign for Gor Mahia after Levis Opiyo, Andrew \u2018Roma\u2019 Juma, John Macharia and Tito Okello. Ochieng and Juma have signed their contracts with the Green Army on Sunday.<\/p>\n
Burundian striker Jules Ulimwengu, Cameroonian midfielder Bertrand Konfor and Malawian star Andrew Numero are some of the foreign players Gor Mahia have been linked with.<\/p>\n
The recent four signings come days after Gor Mahia chairman Ambrose Rachier confirmed they were in the process of bringing onboard new players to strengthen the current squad.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have already embarked on the restructuring and the revamping of the club and I have held two executive committee meetings at which we have examined two strategies,\u201d said Rachier.<\/p>\n
\u201cTalking about the immediate undertakings that we have decided to carry out is the beefing up of the playing unit. This involves an exercise where the cooperation of the technical bench and the executive committee is desired.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe shall make a decision on the players to retain as a very first exercise. The second one, but all of them are inevitable, is that you have to make a decision for various reasons on the players that have to be released.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe third one is the recruitment of players and this is what I call revamping and we may engage the coach in identifying the areas he thinks there has been a weakness and there is need for us to scout for better talent.\u201d<\/p>\n
Boniface Omondi and Joash Onyango are players who have signed for other clubs from Gor Mahia while Fredrick Odhiambo was released on mutual consent.<\/p>\n

In a bid to stem the mass exodus of key players, Gor Mahia have reportedly turned down an offer from TP Mazembe for midfielder Kenneth Muguna<\/p>\n

The Kenyan champions have refused attempts to have their captain join the mass exodus ahead of the new season
\nGor Mahia have turned down an offer from TP Mazembe to sign their captain Kenneth Muguna.<\/p>\n
Goal can exclusively reveal the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) giants have tabled a bid to acquire the services of the midfielder, who has 18 months still remaining on his contract.<\/p>\n
However, the offer from Mazembe was turned down by K\u2019Ogalo, who have vowed to keep their best players after a recent exodus had threatened to derail their quest to defend the KPL title and do well in the Caf Champions League.<\/p>\n
A source in K\u2019Ogalo, who is privy to the transfer, has told Goal they have been approached by Mazembe but they have refused to let go of their captain.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is true they [Mazembe] have come to us twice seeking the services of Muguna but we have told them we are not interested to listen to the offer they are tabling,\u201d the source told Goal on Sunday.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have already lost enough players and cannot afford to lose more players, we also have to keep our best players and Muguna is part of the coach\u2019s plans for the new season, we don\u2019t want to listen to them [even if they give us good money], we are not ready to lose more players now.\u201d<\/p>\n
K\u2019Ogalo have already lost defender Joash Onyango who left to sign for Simba SC of Tanzania, keeper David Mapigano joined Azam FC, winger Dickson Ambundo signed for promoted side Dodoma Jiji while Boniface Omondi and goalkeeper Peter Odhiambo have been unveiled by Wazito FC.<\/p>\n
In a recent interview with Goal, Gor Mahia coach Steven Polack maintained Muguna was part of his plans for the new season.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am just reading in social media and newspapers that Muguna has left Gor Mahia, or he intends to leave but I am not aware of his transfer, he has not told me anything nor has the club told me if the captain is going,\u201d Polack told Goal.<\/p>\n
\u201c[Muguna] has a contract with the club and he cannot walk away just like that, so I am very sure Muguna will stay and I have plans to build a team around him ahead of the new season.\u201d<\/p>\n
Gor Mahia will carry Kenya\u2019s Caf Champions League flag by virtue of being declared the KPL champions in the last campaign.<\/p>\n
