After having won their first match against Ulinzi, Gor Mahia lost their second match of the 2020-2021 FKF Premier League when they lost to Tusker 2-1 on Wednesday. Gor Mahia’s goal was scored by Jules Ulimwengu in the 35th minute.<\/p>\n

Gor Mahia suffered their first defeat of the season following a 2-1 loss to Tusker FC in an FKF Premier League game staged at Kasarani.<\/p>\n
Jules Ulimwengu cancelled David Majak’s opener before Henry Meja capitalized on Gor Mahia’s blunder at the back to restore Tusker’s lead, a goal that made the difference.<\/p>\n
Tusker took the lead in the 11th minute through David Majak. Boniface Muchiri sent the ball forward in the box and it found Majak unmarked inside the penalty area. The Tusker striker went high and headed the ball past diving Gad Mathews.<\/p>\n
In the 35th minute, Gor Mahia drew level through the man who secured all three points against Ulinzi, Jules Ulimwengu. Tusker failed to clear the ball in their own box and Kenneth Muguna had it outside the box, with his right leg he spotted Ulimwengu, who levelled the scores from close range through the header.<\/p>\n
Two minutes to stoppage time, Tusker could have restored the lead but were denied by the post. Hashim Sempala had the ball, miles away from the box, Gor defenders gave him all the space and he unleashed a shot that rattled the crossbar. That was close.<\/p>\n
In the 78th minute, Mahia’s defense had a miscommunication and Tusker capitalized as Henry Meja snatched the ball and unleashed a low shot past Mathews.<\/p>\n
Sydney Ochieng was to miss a glorious chance to level the game and despite late pressure from the league’s defending Champions, Tusker held on for their second win of the season.<\/p>\n
