It pains a lot considering the time and effort we made during in training. It was a woeful performance and I feel our defence did not live up to our expectations.” The Cameroonian however maintained that the team will bounce back from its latest setback. “We haven’t lost hope. We are going to bounce back in a big way and reclaim our strong position. We are not yet out of it as the league is tough and wide open. I believe we will overcome and get back to our winning ways.’

Also according to Supersport, AFC Leopards head coach Jan Koops attributed Sunday’s 3-0 win over their traditional rivals Gor Mahia to adequate preparations. Koops said the one week camp facilitated by the club’s sponsors Mumias Sugar had helped him prepare his team well ahead of the derby.

“Our training camp in Mumias helped us bond and come up with a winning combination. Our sponsors gave us adequate environment where we trained well with no disturbance or interference. We really enjoyed ourselves and even in training, you could even smell the taste of victory.”

He also paid tribute to the 12th man for cheering the players from the word go to the last whistle. “Sometimes a team suffers poor run of form and then it regains its winning ways. I was worried of the losses but I’m delighted that the technical bench, playing unit, the office and our sponsors have all teamed up together to come up with a winning formula. The journey has started and I believe we have a bright future ahead”

Skipper Jerim Onyango blamed lack of mental preparedeness -After conceding the first goal, the players were demoralized which affected their output. We also had other chances after that but we failed to convert them. This was another source of frustration. Thee best thing in life is how you rise from your low position and I believe that we will continue working hard in the coming matches, concluded the captain.

On his mistake that cost K’ogalo the first goal, Onyango said that it was a matter of poor timing.

Midfield maestro Collins Gatusso Okoth has blamed his teammates’ lack of concentration and dedication for their 0-3 humiliation by AFC Leopards in a KPL derby on Sunday 2 October at Nyayo National Stadium. Okoth Okoth who is currently training with Harambee Stars said that his colleagues were uncommitted. The funniest thing amongst the K’ogalo players is that they are always satisfied with any result, be it positive or negative. Lack of maturity in the team is really costing us, instead of playing for good results we are after just appeasing our pals on the terraces, he added.
(courtesy futaa.com)

Meawnhile there has been no reaction from Ambrose Rachier as the ship continues to sink. It is worth noting that Kogalo might face Ingwe again soon in the FKL cup. At this rate, Ingwe will surely dash any hopes of playing continental football next season.

According to Supersport, Gor Mahia assistant coach Anaba Awono admitted he was deeply disappointed by his team’s performance in the

[1

post-207","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-news
["GET
