{"id":2827,"date":"2013-07-31T13:08:29","date_gmt":"2013-07-31T13:08:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/gormahia.net\/latest\/?p=2827"},"modified":"2013-07-31T13:09:15","modified_gmt":"2013-07-31T13:09:15","slug":"agent-sserunkuma-did-not-abscond","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gormahia.net\/latest\/news\/agent-sserunkuma-did-not-abscond\/","title":{"rendered":"Agent: Sserunkuma did not abscond"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gormahia.net\/images\/sseru-city-12.jpg\" width=\"428\" height=\"266\" \/><\/p>\n<p>courtesy of futaa.com<\/p>\n<p>2012 Kenyan Premier League Player of the Year Dan Sserunkuma jetted out of the country for trials in three Eastern Europe countries starting with Armenia, Ukraine then Belarus.<b> <\/b><\/p>\n<p>Soon after Gor Mahia Vice Chair Faiz Ochieng came out to say \u2018there was no confirmation that the Ugandan international had left \u2013 or was set to leave\u2019 the country for the trials.<\/p>\n<p><b>Sneaked out<\/b><\/p>\n<p>He went on to deny that the player had traveled and went on to state that Sserunkuma was \u2018currently in Kenya though feeling unwell\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Other quarters from the club have also intimated that Sserunkuma \u2018sneaked out\u2019 for the trials without consent of the club.<\/p>\n<p>But FIFA agent Ken Joseph, who pieced up his move for the trials, has jumped to the defense of Serunkuma, stating that his client never sneaked out of the country for trials in the Eastern European region. The players&#8217; representative informed <i>futaa.com<\/i> that he was quite puzzled by rumors surrounding the Gor Mahia talisman.<\/p>\n<p><b>Hierarchy <\/b><\/p>\n<p>-I find it quite perplexing that anyone would believe Dan, of all players will do a runner for trials. He is too professional to engage in such trivial activities and anyone that knows Dan very well will obviously understand that this propaganda is erroneous, the British-born agent said.<\/p>\n<p>-Myself and the Dan communicated effectively with the Gor Mahia hierarchy regarding the player&#8217;s trials \u00a0&#8211; all I can say at this stage is that there could had been a gap in communication somewhere along the line.<\/p>\n<p><b>Landed safely <\/b><\/p>\n<p>-We all know how difficult it is for players to succeed during trials and it would be very unprofessional for anyone to put a player in a state of quagmire during his tests.
