Gor Mahia has set a price of Sh5 million before releasing striker Rama Salim (right) to join Qatari second division side, Al-Marhiya.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Officials of the two clubs\u00a0met on Wednesday in Nairobi where Gor Mahia tabled their price. The Qataris had initially offered Sh1 million for the player.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
They are, however, uncomfortable with the figure and have decided to consult further before Friday\u2019s final meeting that will determine whether or not Salim will see honour the remainder of his contract with Gor which lasts till December.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Gor secretary-general, George Bwana, and his assistant Ronald Ngala lamented that Al-Marhiya\u2019s offer of Sh1 million was too little yet the Qataris were not willing to play ball.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
\u201cRama (right) is a big player and we\u2019ll not let him go for cheap. He\u2019s not a loaf of bread,\u201d Bwana told the Daily Nation. Bwana said the club did not wish to stand in the way of the player who has passed trials.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Salim returned to Gor\u2019s camp on Wednesday but did not train with the rest of the players.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
And Gor Mahia have suspended their goalkeeping trainer, Iddi Salim, allegedly for secretly negotiating the player\u2019s\u00a0 transfer. Al-Marhiya addressed their transfer request letter for Rama Salim through Iddi.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
