The Sports Stadia Management Board (SSMB) earlier slapped an indefinite ban on Gor Mahia from using its facilities, namely, the Moi International Sports Centre (MISC) Kasarani and the Nyayo National Stadium. <\/b><\/p>\n

This came after acts of hooliganism that also saw property destroyed at Kasarani after the Tusker Premier League (TPL) game pitting Gor Mahia away to City Stars on Sunday 4 August. The ban was served with a monetary penalty to the club, an invoice of Kshs 2.8 million.<\/p>\n

Damages and labour<\/b><\/p>\n

The amount, as confirmed in a communiqu\u00e9 to media houses, signed by the acting SSMB CEO Mr. Gabriel Komora is meant to cater for damages inside and outside the stadium plus the labour involved.<\/p>\n

Here is the breakdown:<\/b><\/p>\n

583 plastic fixed seats were damaged and one seat goes at kshs 3,500 which brings a cost of re \u2013 installing them at a whooping kshs 2,040,500. Security house Gate 3 which was damaged costs Kshs 16,450; perimeter fence at Gate 3 which was also damaged costs Kshs 20,000 and paying booth towers 1 \u2013 6 costs Kshs 58,000.<\/p>\n

33% cost of labour<\/b><\/p>\n

The total estimated damage cost comes to Kshs 2,134,950 then the cost of labour is estimated at 33% of that which totals to Kshs 704,533.5. The grand total adds to Kshs 2,839,483, the amount Gor Mahia has been invoiced to pay.<\/p>\n
