{"id":3023,"date":"2013-09-17T12:20:24","date_gmt":"2013-09-17T12:20:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/gormahia.net\/latest\/?p=3023"},"modified":"2013-09-17T12:21:35","modified_gmt":"2013-09-17T12:21:35","slug":"bobby-irked-by-kpl-delay","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gormahia.net\/latest\/news\/bobby-irked-by-kpl-delay\/","title":{"rendered":"Bobby irked by KPL delay"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/u.goal.com\/270400\/270416_heroa.jpg\" width=\"472\" height=\"327\" \/><\/p>\n<p>courtesy of goal.com<\/p>\n<p>Coach Williamson takes issue with premier body for taking too long to award them aborted match despite Football Kenya Federation ordering the same Gor Mahia coach Bobby Williamson has taken issues with Kenya Premier League \u2018for taking too long\u2019 to award the club maximum points from the abandoned fixture against Sony Sugar.<\/p>\n<p>The Scot tactician says the premier body should respect ruling made by Football Kenya Federation and award K\u2019Ogalo the fixture which aborted in 84th minute.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are wondering why Kenyan Premier League is dilly-dallying over the matter despite Kenya FA ruling that Gor Mahia be awarded the match,\u201d Williamson told <strong>Goal<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe should by now have had the issue solved so that we concentrate on our remaining matches. KPL should just award us the match as ordered by Kenya FA because Sony caused abandonment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On the team\u2019s 1-0 defeat to Tusker, Williamson put blame on match referee. The Scott claimed his side was denied a genuine penalty while their opponents were given something he says ultimately decided the match.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe referee let us down. He made some good and bad decisions and one of the good ones was to award Tusker a penalty while the other was denying us a genuine one.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese kinds of decisions are very costly and it denied us picking a point. We deserved to get something from the fixture and we are very disappointed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Williamson maintained that the chase for league title was wide open insisting that all teams in contention will drop points along the way.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Time wasting<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Speaking after the Tusker match, Williamson insisted that the referees should be very keen on players applying time wasting antics during the matches according to futaa.com<\/p>\n<p>-There was a lot of time-wasting in the match (against Tusker) and what is even worse the referee was not doing much to discourage this time wasting, he fumed.<\/p>\n<p>Williamson has also moved on to blame officiating for their 1-0 loss to Tusker FC on Sunday afternoon.<b><br \/>\n<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Williamson believes the center referee made several unfair calls that influenced the outcome of a match that according to him neither side deserved to win.<\/p>\n<p>-I think it was ball to hand but the referee decided to give it (referring to the ref\u2019s decision to award Tusker a penalty after Musa Mohammed allegedly handled the ball in the box), Williamson said after the match,<\/p>\n<p>-He also added only four minutes despite two or three players having been stretchered off during the match.
