Gor Mahia keeper Jeremy Onyango won the best goalkeeper award while Davoid Owino won the best defender’s award at the KPL annual awards on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Jerim was solid between the sticks throughout the year. During the first leg when goals were hard to come by, it was Jerim who played a pivotal role most notable in the first leg game against arch rivals AFC whom he frustrated with incredible save after save.<\/p>\n

David Owino was not only solid in defence but scored several crucial goals. None was more important than the equalizing goal he scored against AFC Leopards during the KPL second leg. It looked like Gor Mahia were buried before “Calabar” controlled an indirect free-kick from Kevin Omondi then rifled the ball home.<\/p>\n

Both Owino and Jerim are among the key reason that Gor Mahia conceded the fewest goals in the league alongside Musa Mohamed, Donald Mosoti and Israel Emuge.<\/p>\n

Midfielder of the Year – Brian Osumba (KCB); <\/b>1st Runner up – Francis Kahata (Thika United); 2nd Runner up – Peter Opiyo (AFC Leopards).<\/p>\n

Defender of the Year – David \u201cCalabar\u201d Owino (Gor Mahia); <\/b> 1st Runner up – John Odhiambo (KCB); 2nd Runner up – Felly Mulumba (Sofapaka).<\/p>\n

Goalkeeper of the Year – Jerim Onyango (Gor Mahia); <\/b>1st Runner up – Sammy Okinda (KCB); 2nd Runner up – Wilson Obungu (Bandari).<\/p>\n

Fair Player of the Year – Dennis Onkangi; <\/b>1st Runner up – Shaban Kenga; 2nd Runner up – Oliver Ruto.<\/p>\n

Most Improved Centre Referee – Davies Omweno; <\/b>1st Runner up – Anthony Ogwayo; 2nd Runner up – Tabitha Wambui.<\/p>\n
