{"id":3481,"date":"2013-12-27T13:32:56","date_gmt":"2013-12-27T13:32:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/gormahia.net\/latest\/?p=3481"},"modified":"2014-02-06T02:57:57","modified_gmt":"2014-02-06T02:57:57","slug":"gor-mahia-to-skip-mapinduzi-cup","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gormahia.net\/latest\/news\/gor-mahia-to-skip-mapinduzi-cup\/","title":{"rendered":"Gor Mahia to skip Mapinduzi cup"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>courtesy of futaa.com<\/p>\n<p><b>The Kenyan Premier League (KPL) champions Gor Mahia will not be gracing the annual Mapinduzi Cup tournament in Zanzibar scheduled to kick off in early January.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>As confirmed to <i>futaa.com<\/i> by a source close to the club, the decision was reached in order to grant the playing unit enough resting time after a grueling 2013 season which also saw most players feature for the national team.<\/p>\n<p><b>Time off<\/b><\/p>\n<p>-We will not be going there for the tournament; the management thought the players would be fatigued by the time the most important games approach.
