He should just refund us our cash. He has already said sorry but the relationship is now broken,” Bwana said.

Bwana said the 20-year-old, left-footed forward withheld crucial information during confidential transfer negotiations held in Nairobi last month. Situmbeko was then in the country with Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup participants Zambia.

“We had been following the player’s performances in the Zambian league for some time and our technical team was certain he would be the answer to our problems regarding wing play. When I approached him here in Nairobi he claimed to be a free agent. Now Dynamos are denying this.” Bwana continued.

PURSUE A LIST OF OPTIONS

Bwana said they will pursue a list of options in this saga including petitioning world governing body Fifa to assist in reclaiming their monies.

However, this option could backfire especially considering the Kenyan club might have overlooked a crucial rule regarding player transfers during this process, which states that any club wishing to sign any player must first inform the parent club.

The Times of Zambia quotes the club secretary general Ricky Mafunda as claiming the player is going nowhere.

“Situmbeko was only on national duty in Nairobi, so how can a club claim to have signed him when they did not even approach us” he posed.

This is the third case within the past year that a player transfer process involving Gor is attracting controversy.

Former top-flight club Kakamega Homeboyz accused Gor of illegally trying to acquire their player Harun Sakava.

“This is the second time officials from this team (Gor) are approaching our player without seeking contest. Their club Chairman (Ambrose Rachier) who is a lawyer should know better,” Homeboyz owner Cleophas Shimanyula stated.

Gor were also guilty of ‘signing’ a Brazilian ‘player’ Giovanni Rodriguez last season without watching him play or gauging on his fitness. At the time, the club succumbed to pressure and cancelled the deal.

Bandari deny Kenga departure

Meanwhile, Bandari have denied reports that their star midfielder Shaban Kenga has signed for Gor Mahia.

In a statement, Bandari technical director Edward Oduor said Kenga is not up for sale and warned Gor Mahia as well as any other team interested in the player to back off.

“Kenga has a valid contract with Bandari and has not been signed by any team as we speak. The reports in the media that Gor Mahia have acquired him are misleading and should therefore be ignore,” Oduor told Sporton!

courtesy of the Nation Gor Mahia has pulled the plug on a highly publicized deal to sign Zambian player Julius

[1

post-3535","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-news
["GET
